We at Dell technologies have, since the start of the pandemic, converted all our flagship events to vVenues with increased experience, higher engagement scores and in general higher attendance with better satisfaction. We believe a platform like vVenues will be crucial for not only digital events but also as supporting the physical events with content, gamification and possibility have people all over the world participate safely and excitingly. Something that also stands out is the possibility for customization; many other platforms have a static look and feel with only the opportunity to change branding and colors. With vVenues we get the event tailored and rebuilt in a few weeks for a new environment and experience suitable for the theme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about vVenues? With all platforms, there usually are limitations to what you can do, but vVenues tick 19 of 20 boxes of features we as a global company need which is close to perfect. We are constantly applying feedback to the team for further developments that benefit all platform users. There is nothing really to dislike as the team behind is very agile in supporting the needs to keep the experience top level. I would love to have some more options for audio experience in lobbys etc, but I know that this is on the roadmap for 2022. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering vVenues: Virtual platforms are a jungle out there; we at Dell Technologies tried many different but ended up with vVenues as meeting all our requirments needed and especially been through deep testing by our security team to ensure it´s a safe platform to use. What problems is vVenues solving and how is that benefiting you? I don´t think you should look at virtual platforms as a problem solver; you should look at them as a value add to reach more people, share more content and engage with the audience in a 360 approach. However, vVenues for us have led to better scalability of our events in Central & Northern Europe, increased the overall experience, and also resulted in a more extended event strategy; from going with a one-day event, we can now build an acquisition journey pre-event and post-event to connect the customers closer to us and share relevant information at the time best suited for the viewer. I really like that it gives the impression of a physical venue and not another teams-meeting. I am impressed by the intuitive design and the many ways to interact, network, and engage in vVenues. I think the looks of the platform give excellent branding opportunities, and with the many different rooms, you get the feeling that you meet and greet as if you were attending a physical event. Another advantage is that you can mix lots of pre-recorded content with live-streamed scenes to create an exciting and dynamic event program that the attendees can pick and choose from depending on interest and time. I think vVenues is over-performing the other options I have come across, and the team is very responsive to suggest solutions and add new features. With vVenues, we moved to digital meetings “3.0” during the pandemic. By using the platform, we have created an impressive digital home for our annual award CMO of the Year. In an exciting way, we gathered our previous content (previous winners in a Hall of Fame, finalist interviews, information about the competition, etc.) as well as created a festive setting for the digital awards ceremony along with other informational content for this year's theme and a sophisticated partner lounge. We gathered a larger crowd than with an IRL event and have participants from all over Sweden and internationally. We can now give these types of events a longer life span, where many people logged in and took part of the content afterward. Furthermore, I can create more and new opportunities for sponsor activations and engagement over time. I also think that the platform provides excellent opportunities for networking online, hence speed meetings, one-2-one meetings, small networking rooms, etc. These elements strengthen the feeling of an IRL meeting even though you participate online. For most people, it all makes sense. But we did encounter some issues where customers did not find what they were looking for on the platform, most likely due to the fact it actually is 'too modern'. The admin interface is fast and easy to use. Also, the customization is endless in both chats and rooms. We have created 3D-models of a complete fair. Sometimes hard to be pixel accurate with setting up action-points, I know they are working on a fix for this. The intuitive design makes the virtual event experience as close to an IRL event as possible. Already when you sign into the event platform, you get a feeling of entering an event environment and not just any traditional digital meeting in a presentation mode and a chat. The possibilities to design several rooms and areas for content distribution and exhibitions is endless and very impressive. Interactive sessions by video and chat tools make it easy for delegates and sponsors to communicate. This enables a successful and intuitive layer for lead generation and peer-to-peer discussions between delegates and sponsors. On top of that, the top-notch tailor-made design makes the event experience fun and easy with possibilities to "walk around" in an endless amount of rooms and areas just like IRL. There are endless possibilities using vVenues, and I cannot think of a thing that I dislike or haven't been able to rethink together with the makers to create value for my customers' experience. vVenues is most compatible for desktop rather than mobile though. By using vVenues I have managed not only to transform physical events into a virtual space and to create digital-first event, but also to take digital experience to the next level. When working with B2B events, the biggest challenge is to enable a layer of branding and interaction between sponsors and delegates. vVenues´ technology allows first-class interactions between guests (way beyond a chat window next to streamed content in a traditional environment). The platform has enabled me to grow and reach out to my delegates with a unique solution no matter where they are located. Delegates from all over the country can attend the event, and I can quickly provide sponsors with delegate lists and statistics after the event. Interactions in several formats (chat, video etc), branding, and delegate lists and statistics are all crucial for offering sponsors virtual lead generating activities, and by using vVenues I can execute on these event objectives. I can highly recommend this vVenues solution, I think they've nailed it! Capturing the atmosphere from a congress with large audience sessions, if not better thanks to the high audience interaction; seminars; engaging smaller panel tracks; hang-out areas that actually work. And really cool way of actually capturing the brand expression and feeling throughout. Definitely going to look into this for our company going forward.
