## About vPenTest
Vonahi Security is building the future of offensive cybersecurity by delivering automated, high-quality penetration testing through its SaaS platform, vPenTest. Designed to replicate the tools, techniques, and methodologies of experienced consultants, vPenTest brings the benefits of manual network penetration testing into an easy-to-use, automated solution. Traditionally, penetration testing has been a manual, time consuming, and expensive process that many organizations only perform once or twice a year. This often leaves businesses exposed to emerging threats between assessments. vPenTest addresses this gap by offering fast, consistent, and on-demand testing that helps organizations evaluate their real-time cybersecurity risk more effectively. Powered by a proprietary framework that evolves through continuous research and real-world insights, vPenTest stays aligned with the latest attack techniques and industry best practices. The platform is backed by over 13 years of offensive security expertise, with the team holding certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, OSCE, CEH, and more. Their knowledge is built directly into the platform, ensuring each test is conducted with depth, consistency, and accuracy—without the delays or variability of manual testing.
vPenTest enables organizations to run internal and external network penetration tests as often as needed monthly, quarterly, or prior to audits or insurance reviews. The automated reports provide actionable insights that make it easy to prioritize remediation and demonstrate progress toward compliance. Today, over 22,000 organizations rely on vPenTest to strengthen their security posture and reduce risk. ## vPenTest Reviews
 ### 1. vPenTest delivers on their promises

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | IT Assistant Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

I have used vPenTest at a previous place of employment. Having been successfully implemented and found to have met our compliance requirements it was recommended at my current place of employment. Side-by-side comparisons were done objectively against top competitors and despite one of the competitors having a good relationship with one of our top management officials, the results were undeniable. Onboarding was done in one session. The dashboard is self-explanatory and there was no need for further customer support. Even though I used the product before in a different environment, there was initially a slight hesitancy/fear to run the penetration test with fears that it may be disruptive or break the functionality of our systems. We have a highly complex network. The penetration tests have been run for two consecutive months thus far without issues. The product's findings were easily integrated with the output of VulScan vulnerability scanning platform. The extent of the findings and the resolutions steps have been highly comprehensive. The reports generated have met the stringent requirements of our compliance body. I have no issues in recommending this platform.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

As the software is not agent based i.e. not installed on each system to be scanned, scans are dependent on being able to be reached from on-premises server or via VPN. As our workforce is hybrid/WFH (Work from Home), using VPNs at home and allowing dynamic IPs were not feasible. Scans can only be done while system is brought into one of our branches which are connected site to site VPN.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is meeting our compliance requirements. It is able to identify issues not easily visible by the naked eye, especially given the wide range of servers and systems on our network. Manual inspection and monitoring would have been a tedious and time consuming process.

 ### 2. Comprehensive Security Tool with Quick Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent D. | IT Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2024

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

I appreciate vPenTest for its detailed and automated diagnostic capabilities, which thoroughly assess my network for vulnerabilities, enhancing overall security compliance and facilitating smoother insurance audits. The report generation feature stands out, providing comprehensive insights post-scan that greatly aid in effective decision-making and timely security discussions with clients. The interface is commendably clean and user-friendly, allowing me to focus more on applying necessary patches rather than navigating through configurations. Its initial setup is remarkably straightforward and swift, enabling my team to generate our first reports within a week. Additionally, the quick turnaround by the support team further emphasizes its efficiency, making it a reliable tool in our cybersecurity arsenal.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I find the deployment process for vPenTest cumbersome, especially for multi-site clients with multiple Local Area Networks (LANs). This complexity can be a significant hurdle, as it involves managing numerous networks across various locations. Although it’s recognized as part of the product's nature and the environment in which it operates, this aspect could benefit from improvement. Specifically, having a method to swiftly deploy virtual machines (VMs) to each site could alleviate the challenges associated with setting up dedicated servers on hosts, streamlining the deployment process and minimizing the workload.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use vPenTest for security compliance and insurance audits, benefiting from its automated diagnostic tool that scans networks for vulnerabilities. Its clean interface saves time on configurations, and quick report generation aids timely client security discussions.

 ### 3. Effortless Penetration Testing, Though Support Can Be Hard to Reach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lesedi M. | Second Line Support, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

What I like best about vPenTest is that not only has it eliminated the manual section of penetration testing, but it has also isolated the test type which makes the use of it much easier to work with. I use it all of the time while I'm testing new products or updating and maintaining current and existing products. Their customer support is relatively challenging to get ahold of, however once you do get ahold of them, they will assist you with whatever it is that you need help with. I believe for a tester, vPenTest is very much easy to implement and integrate as opposed to other SaaS.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I genuinely have not found any problems with vPenTest thus far.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vPenTest has solved problems affecting me such as managing all of my automated test cases and test scenarios. I am benefiting from this because of its' consistency to avoid human error in a high pressure environment.

 ### 4. Seamless Setup, Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milciades C. | Chief Executive Officer

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

I find vPenTest to be a seamless and headache-free tool that helps in achieving our goals effortlessly. It has proven to be very versatile for all tasks I need to ensure everything is airtight and everyone knows their role. It simplifies the user experience, as we have not required any additional training to get accustomed to its functionalities. The setup process was extremely smooth, taking only about twenty-four hours, which is remarkably fast compared to other onboarding processes that can take weeks. This ease of implementation is a significant advantage for my team. I am happy to say that vPenTest has made the journey amazing since I started using it. Overall, my experience with vPenTest has been very positive, and I highly appreciate its seamless integration into our workflow, contributing significantly to our productivity. I am so impressed with its capabilities that I would definitely rate it a ten out of ten when recommending it to others.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

Sometimes it feels a bit off, which might be due to us getting used to the new product.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use vPenTest to ensure everything is airtight and my team knows their tasks, simplifying operations seamlessly without requiring additional training.

 ### 5. vPenTest review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve V. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

What I like best about vPenTest is that it gives us continuous, on-demand penetration testing at a cost that makes sense for a mid-sized manufacturer. The dashboards make it easy to communicate risks to leadership, while the technical detail is thorough and actionable for my IT team. Unlike a traditional pen test that’s just once a year, I can re-run vPenTest after changes to our environment, and it validates real exploits instead of only flagging vulnerabilities. It’s reliable, easy to use, and provides both executive-level insights and technical remediation guidance.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

What I dislike about vPenTest is that while the reporting is thorough, some of the findings can feel repetitive between scans if issues aren’t closed quickly, which makes it a little noisy. Also, while it’s excellent for automated penetration testing, it doesn’t completely replace a traditional human-led pen test in areas like social engineering or very advanced attack simulation. That said, it still gives us a strong level of coverage and value.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What problems vPenTest is solving for us are the cost and timing challenges of traditional penetration testing. A once-a-year manual test was expensive and left us blind in between. vPenTest lets us run penetration tests on demand and continuously monitor our environment, which means we can quickly validate changes, spot issues early, and show progress over time.

It also solves the problem of translating technical security findings into something business leadership can understand. The executive dashboards give me an easy way to communicate risk and progress to management, while the detailed technical remediation steps help my IT team resolve issues faster.

The benefit is that we now have consistent, repeatable penetration testing that fits our budget, strengthens our security posture, and supports our compliance and audit requirements without relying solely on external consultants.

 ### 6. User-Friendly Tool with Effective Vulnerability Detection

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben D.

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

I found vPenTest easy to use even as someone new to the field. It helped me shore up our defenses effectively. The whole experience with vPenTest was smooth. Setting it up was pretty straightforward; I just had to fire it up myself since my coworkers had used it before.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I know this is niche, but finding help videos for my specific attempts were hard to find, but again, I understand I was looking for more walkthrough style things.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use vPenTest to find vulnerabilities in our environment. It's easy to use, even for someone new to the field, helping us shore up our defenses.

 ### 7. Best user friendly Pentest available!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

We shopped around for the best Pen Test software for a while and we fell in love with how easy the layout looks for vPenTest. Its not overwhelming, and we have support available if we have any questions or concerns. We were also shocked as to how easy it was to implement to all of our clients and the amount of features available to our disposal.
Our team has integrated this to all of our on-boarding process and clients have been pleased with the reporting.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

We haven't found one disappointing thing to be honest.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us expedite the pentesting that our clients require from us, it has made this whole process alot easier than we were projecting.

We use this annually for clients and it has proven very helpful.

The UI can prove to be a bit unappealing and clunky.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the penetration testing to ensure clients are up to date and protected from common vulnerabilities.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

I like how user-friendly the vPenTest interface is. It facilitates easier navigation and enhances my efficiency when conducting penetration tests and gap analyses. The platform is intuitive, making complex security tasks more manageable. This ease of use undoubtedly contributes to why I am very likely to recommend vPenTest to others, rating it a 9 out of 10 in terms of recommendation.

I think vPenTest should work better for small MSPs.

I use vPenTest for penetration tests, spotting breaches, and gap analysis. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate.

 ### 14. Vonahi Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

vPenTest is showing us what we might miss and let hackers do it before we discover with vPenTest.

 ### 15. It really is great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

The tool is fantastic. It finds items that even the best firms have missed and has been worth the effort of making the switch. The support team is great and responsive - the issues we have had (only two) have been very minor and resolved almost instantly. The tool is easy to use, easy to implement, and just all around great given the frequency we are interacting with the tool.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I wish you could whitelist some findings but at this point you have to email support every month to remove confirmed false positives. It would be great to see an integration with O365 and Azure down the road, but for now its meeting the needs.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps us understand the unseen risks in our environment. Misconfigurations, missing best practices, and much more - it helps us understand cyber risk and drives us toward solutions to remove those risks.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Did the external pen test for us, help us know what else we can do for improve our safety

 ### 20. Pleasanty Suprised at the Results of an Automated Pen Test from vPenTest

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

I like the simplicity of the interface, ease of deployment, automated functionality, and the ability to brand the reports. The support around the vPenTest is excellent. We will continue to leverage vPenTest for customers wanting to meet GRC requirements.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I do not like the licensing model. Not every customer wants a monthly pen test; some want an annual pen test for GRC purposes versus a monthly pen test for attack surface reduction. As a result, once you assign an IP to a license, that license can not be reclaimed for 12 months.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The vPenTest is solving the requirements to perform a an automated test at a significantly lower cost model to meet GRC compliance.

 ### 21. Really efficient and reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier T. | It engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

It easy to use and implement, and its cost is significant lower compared to manual Pentest, and features available

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

Internal employees may not be aware what tools are being tested until report comes

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we can detect breaches before attackers do, and enhance our protocols, that benefits our clients with compliances and to improve their IT posture

 ### 22. Strong Product with few Downsides

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason I. | Senior System Engineer & Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

Usability of product and deployment along with easy scheduling of recurring tests.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

Inability to redact specific findings that have no need to be fixed or resolved. Having the ability to disable a finding would make reporting clearer to clients.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It finds specific configuration vulnerabilties that you can then automate to resolve. This enhances your security posture so that lingering issues do not put your organization at risk.

 ### 23. Amazing and Simplified Product with All the Goodies!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris I. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

The interface that links all the tools with minimal effort is just amazing!

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

What use to take days, now takes hours. IF you follow the setup guide and use it appropriately, its a fail safe.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT gives you an amazing insights, with no stone unturned, while delivering a comprehensive report that helps Business Owners, It Staff, And everyone across the board.

 ### 24. Easy and effective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom L. | Network and Security Adminsitrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2024

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

vPenTest by Vonahi has been a great asset to my organization. It was so easy to get off the ground, easy to use and automate, and the knowledge it brings to me and my team helps ensure we're secure.

We use it at a regular interval via scheduled assessments or spin up a one-off when we make a big change to our infrastructure. Being able to scan internal networks and from the outside really gives us a great insight that we can leverage for greater securty.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

I'm not the biggest fan of how they do their licensing, per IP. This is mostly an issue when you're first getting started and want to scan everything! But, as time goes on and you develop your own schedule, it's not that impactful.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to use external third parties for PenTesting once a year. The cost of one external PenTest for one location is a big portion of what we pay for Vonahi that gives us way more options and allows us to run many, many more tests. vPenTest has alleviated the costs associated with traditional third party PenTesting with no loss in functionality, information, or outcome.

 ### 25. Very userfriendly and efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg D. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2024

**What do you like best about vPenTest?**

The test itself was very easy to run. Externally, it's really just a website to enter what IPs to test.
The internal one required some setup, but the documentation was very good and very easy to follow.
The subscription allows me to test up to 25 IPs per month, more are available on request.

**What do you dislike about vPenTest?**

Setting up the internal host took me some time, but again, the documentation was very good.
It does help if one has some understanding of linux.

**What problems is vPenTest solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It showed me the possible attack vectors and vulnerabilities that our landscape had, and also how to fix them.
