Low prices, Wide availability of numbers

I used them for over 15 years. I asked them if it was OK to use them for SIP trunking to an autodialer. They didn't just say "no," they closed my account without warning. Now I have to switch all my business phone numbers which have over a decade of circulation. Please think carefully about using a service provider like this.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

My service with VOIP.ms was fine until their site was hacked and held for ransom.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

VOIP.ms did not do enough to ensure that their service was secure.  Hackers broke into their website and their clients were without service for several days.  My business was without phones for several days until Telnyx helped me switch my service over to them.  Since then, I haven't had any issues with Telnyx.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VOIP.ms couldn't solve any of my issues because their service was hacked and was being held for ransom.  I simply couldn't afford to stay with them and be without phone service.  I am also reluctant to go back to their service only to be without phone service again.

VOIP.MS is easy to setup and they respond on support but constantly give the run around.

They sold my specialized phone numbers because my account was down by 43 cents while i was on a trip overseas for a month. Also did not recieve any reminder email of the low balance. To sell my phone numbers that i imported into their product is completely unfair those were mine. I now have people trying to call my business but getting sent to some random person.

enabling me to take phone numebrs and route it to other numbers. Except they resold my phone numbers !! what kind of service is that

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

An amazing number of features at a very low price.  I've been with VoIP.ms for over 10 years for both business and personal use.  Other than the massive DDOS attack in September 2021, they have been very reliable.  I believe they have strengthened their infrastructure based on what they learned during the DDOS.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Communication during the DDOS attack wasn't the best, but I'm sure they were very busy trying to get things working.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

They are great for SIP trunking and simple PBX solution if you just have a few extensions.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've avoided paying for crazy expensive phone service from AT&T and other "major" providers, both at work and home.  For a tiny amount of money, I've been able to maintain a "home number" that we've had for years.  It allows me to receive calls at home, and auto forwarded to cell phones.  Also implemented a "press 1 if you're human" auto attendant which has dropped spam calls to just about zero.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

We like the fact that the interface is very user-friendly, very intuitive.  It has all of the built-in features such as SMS without having to use a third-party vendor to be built on top, you can also setup fax-to-email very easily!

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

It all was well until they were hit by a DDoS attack.  They had promised to have it resolved in days if not weeks but it lasted months, which was kind of frustrating.  That just meant that their infrastructure was not setup to withstand that type of DDoS attack and therefore our customers could not use their phones which were critical to their business.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

If it is not business critical, then VoIP is by far the easiest to use.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately, there was nothing to be solved and we had migrated from VoIP.ms to Telnyx.

The fragility of their infrastructure makes them vulnerable to attacks, putting their services affected or out of use for long periods of time.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

If phone services aren't critical to your organization, VoIP.ms is a great low-cost, feature-packed solution. Very easy installation.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, their easy integration with Asterisk allowed us to move from an analog infrastructure to VOIP at minimal cost and very easily.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

When I needed service to a site that providers were giving me a hard time about getting what we needed, VoIP.ms was the go to that got everything up and running  quickly and without fuss.  Easy provisioning, great quality, good options.

In a nutshell - what I really like is that I don't have to deal with a CLEC that is a PITA to work with, and that this was completed quickly and easily.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Not sure if I have come across anything I really dislike - our accounting folk might have preferred a more traditional billing style, but they've come around to this and may actually prefer it at this time. 

I'd like to think that for ease of accounting, it would be nice to have a true business unlimited configuration available; it would certainly make it easier at times to compare apples to apples

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

Look through the entire interface that you are presented with and make sure you understand what all your options are.  There may be better ways to get things done than what you would initially imagine, and the interface is simple to use once you have a decent overview of it.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connectivity was the problem, and providers telling me that they can't solve the issue within the timeline needed, and instead wanted months to consider SIP trunking if they could even make it work...  When VoIP.ms was able to do in a few hours what major carriers, CLECs and others told me was going to be either impossible, or would take months, this became a no brainer.  In the long run, I believe that we are even saving money, which is always a positive note!

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

I've been using VOiP.ms for 10 years now, and will never switch from it as long as it's in business. What do I like best? All of it -- reliable, highly economical, great choices, excellent customer service (when it's rarely needed), customer-oriented. What else do you need in a phone service?

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Nothing that I can think of. I know no service is perfect, but I honestly can't think of anything. I've used other VOIP services before I found VOiP.ms, and none of them even come close.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

Yes, always -- I have recommended it to several of our clients, especially our overseas clients needing a U.S. phone number, and some are using it.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to have numbers local to our various company locations and they all forward seamlessly to me here at my location. Costs are kept very low while having a large number of DIDs, including toll-free and efax numbers.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

The platform is super easy. The layout works well to navigate to each part of the admin portal and get the pertinent information. The customer service is super fast to help. When we first migrated to VOIP.MS they offered simple setup guides in their wiki and when I had qeustions I was able to chat with a support technician right away and get any issues resolved. They were quick and easy to use making their service great.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

I can't say that I dislike much of anything. Many other companies offer more extensive, more elaborate features, but we do not need those since we have a PBX in our office. I could rattle off further minor details like merging the default did routing and the DID Point of Presence, so the servers are connected there, but that might be some other deeper setting useful to other companies. If anything at all, I wish they had telephone support since they are a VOIP provider.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The initial problem that led me to VOIP.ms was finding a cheap and straightforward VOIP service with DIDs. I was working with another company first, which claimed simple setup and easy-to-use admin portals. I spent two weeks messing with their settings and opening ports on my router firewall to get their service working, but nothing happened. Their tech support could not figure it out either and offered no further assistance. VOIP.ms offered more support over chat and their wiki pages, which made it easy to set up and get to calling right away. They continue to provide a well-maintained service with excellent customer support.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

VOIP.ms is an easy-to-use, high quality VOIP platform that makes it simple for small businesses to set up and maintain a VOIP phone system.  You can quickly create an auto attendant which will answer your main phone line and then automatically direct callers to their intended person or information source (e.g., a recording giving directions, fax number, etc.).  The rates are very affordable. We have saved thousands of dollars in phone service charges by using VOIP.ms instead of one of the big telcom companies to manage our phone service.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

While they do have useful FAQs and a wiki with lots of information on setting things up, it is very much a DIY service, so there is a certain amount of basic knowledge that is required in order to get things set up.  But I did learn how to use it very quickly. Sometimes it is a challenge to find where on the menu structure certain things are located.  But again this is not a big problem.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our original problem was to get an auto-attendant set up so that we didn't need to have a receptionist to direct inbound phone calls.  The secondary problem was to provide quality phone service to our staff without having to purchase an expensive phone system with expensive monthly rates.  VOIP.ms resoved both problems by having a simple, easy to understand online interface which allowed us to set up an auto attendant very quickly and then direct callers to the right place.  It all works great and with no monthly recurring charges other than for DID (direct inward dial) phone numbers (small monthly fee for each DID) and actual usage.  The usage charges are very affordable when compared to service packages available from the big telcos.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

Their geolocated servers cover all our office locations and their pricing is transparent. We're on a pay-as-you-go model, so the more we use the service, the more we pay, but inverse is also true. Since online videoconferencing has gained traction, our staff relies a little less on the phone system, reducing costs for us.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Their management backend feels a little dated or rather clearly made by a developer. Soemone who's less technical would certainly be lost using the interface. Since it's a quite customizable solution, a non-technical user could accidently break certain functionality if they poke around too much.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

It works great, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Works great with PBX system like 3CX or Asterisk.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scalability of our phone system. Our previous VOIP provider was limiting us to 2 channels. We now have as many people using the phone system without limitations. The great thing is the cost of the service is very affordable. Their non-premium service has never let us down, and call quality is just as good.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

I have been using it for a few years!  During the pandemic with the need to have multiple kids on the phone at the same time, it was a life saver.  I have a DECT SIP phone and with 4 phones being able to run simelatanously it allowed all my kids to be on the phone for school at the same time.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Pricing!  I feel there should be a better discount model

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

If you want the ability to use your Phone numbers and add other area codes from wherever you are and at the same time allow for multiple calls  without ordering new lines, phone numbers etc.  this is the solution for you!

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to deal with carriers anylonger.  Bell / Rogers and other ILEC/CLEC and Phone carriers are "over charging" and using  the "reliant / dependable" but they are really just taking advantage of the consumer who has nowhere to go.  VOIP.MS provides an option to remove your need to deal with the Carriers, You can move your number and have it go anywhere you need .

I've used VOIP.MS for over 11 years; and am 100% satisfied.  I've literally saved many thousands of dollars over what traditional phone services would cost ($1,100 in 11 years at voip.ms for 5 phone numbers ringing in every month)... Traditional phone lines (5) for 11 years would be in excess of $40,000 at $60/month (and we all know that AT&T gets more than $60/month per line!

I couldn't be more pleased with the service from VOIP.MS.

Absolutely NOTHING to dislike! We're well satisfied.

VoIP.ms is a very affordable VoIP solution.  Their support is friendly and willing to help configure anything my company requires.  My company does not have a central office so it's nice for my team to be able to take and make work calls just from an app on their phone.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Because of the low price they do not have all of the functionality of some other VoIP providers (chief among this is the requirement to purchase a seperate VoIP app as they do not provide their own.) 

They have some limitations in how picture messaging works and have no way have providing an autoresponder for incoming text messages.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VoIP.ms allows me to provide a work phone number to my team as well as provide automated messages outside of work hours with the option for an emergency support request.

I have been a customer of Voip.ms since approximately April 2010.  For 11 years, I have been delighted with this Voice Over IP company.  Voip.ms provide high-quality service and extremely reliable.  The options seem endless, and most, if not all, are included in the extremely low cost.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

The only thing that I can think of is that the payment method.  As far as I am aware, we can only pay in US dollars, and I would like the option to be able to pay in Canadian dollars, not just US dollars converted to Canadian dollars.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

If you want to save financially and move to a VOIP system, VOIP.MS is the way to go.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved a budget problem with my previous telephone provider and realized a dramatic decrease in voice telecommunications cost.  I even added a second line and use a Fax machine.

It never hurts to try. VOIP.ms will make their product work for you and if you are in the business of selling business phone systems, VOIP.ms is a great business partner to have on your side.

Our customers are saving A TON of money.  We do not have to sit on the phone for hours with large phone carriers, we have the ability to route calls where ever at a click of our finger - which has been especially helpful with COVID and giving our customers the flexibility of working from home.

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

If you have a technical inclination and work for a small business, VoIP.ms is a fantastic solution to an easy-to-use, cost-effective phone system set up. Pair it with something like 3CX for the whole phone system experience. Setup is very easy and there are guides for the entire process. Their pricing is great and they seem to be adding new features all the time. Customer support is very attentive and returned my emails within minutes when I had issues.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

The user interface is a little Web 2.0 (dated at this point in time), but who needs aesthetic when you have something that functions well.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We successfully migrated from RingCentral to using VoIP.ms and have reduced our phone bill by 85% with a server-based 3CX phone system using VoIP.ms as our gateway.

I would like to have PBX capability built in. Running PBX software on third-party servers has been a headache for us.

Look through the setup documentation. if you have questions, ask them directly.

Cost-effective deployment of VoIP services is a problem we are solving. We can see some of the benefits of the rapid deployment of phone lines that can be used for campaigns such as outreach and marketing channels.

Almost complete control over the handling & routing of calls- 
On a decent Internet connection no real proboems ever with call delivery in 8+? years.

Overly complex control panel which neccesarilty represents the huge range of choices available-

Suggestion: May get MORE customers if there is a "Simple Inteface" button for the funtions we use 90% of the time, Then an "Advanced" on for when extra features are needed

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* travelling abroad I use the ZOIPER App on my smartphone which integrates well
* I like the new ability to auto-record Calls to save the Audio in Client Folders for my business
* Blocking Junk Callers by requiring caller to Press #1 : ) - this takes some finessing but oit worth it! Hooray!
* I am a sole user but a local Radio Station I consult for 
signed up and moved all its lines to VOIP.ms with a HUGE saving and seldom  a peep of Problems
* I got a Consideraion for this review-- BUT I would clearly have posted any criticism here if sufficiently frustrated in the 8+ years of using VOIP.MS. - 
I am mostly considered a 'small' user for a few dozen lines so my 'market segment' I consider limited- 
I will say this" VOIP.MS is not for the faint hearted single end user : )

**What do you like best about VoIP.ms?**

Our company Vamos Academy has been a VoIP.com client since 2012. We have multiple locations in multiple countries with multiple DIDs and Sub accounts and it's incredible how we can have this level of automatization and integration with a few clicks.

In the last we were using Asterix on site and it was a mess. Always getting hacked and having connectivity issues. 

Migrating to VoIP.ms fixed all of that overnight.

Overall fantastic services and customer service.

Some DID numbers are a bit expensive. Example Argentina is USD 10 a month and other companies ar offering for half the price.

Drop onsite asterisk now and migrate to cloud VoIP asap

Their support is fantastic - had very few issues, but every time I have, their chat support is right on it.

I don't ususally use their built in features but they're there if I ever need them for business continuity or disaster operations which is great to know.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

Occasional quality issues (no more so than traditional phone service or any other ITSP).

Thier billing processes and policies can complicate things unnecessarially in rare circumstances, but still far more flexible than many other providers.

**What problems is VoIP.ms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing traditional phone service bills without sacraficing quality or reliability. I have seen up to a 90% drop in phone service costs with one client and similar results with others.

What is not to like really? Since they regularly adding features, it's hard to find a downfall.  One thing maybe, is that it doesn't accept short text SMS, like Facebook when it send a verification code.

The fact that it is mostly North America-centric. In this day and age, a company like this should be more global. The one main feature that is missing is the ability to manipulate Caller ID information on incoming calls. If that feature was available, then I would have nothing to dislike.

I like the low cost and customizable capabilities of the service.  The customer service is also top-notch, they are willing to help with any issues that you have.

The issue I have is the SMS service is so-so.  Sometimes I receive my texts on my system other times I have to go to the SMS interface to see them.  If you are a reseller, they don't have an SMS feature that can be a deal-breaker, especially for smaller companies starting up.

If you are wanting a robust VOIP system that you can completely manage then Voip.ms is for you.

Reliable and inexpensive service. We haven't looked at other offerings because Voip.MS has everything we need at a very good price point. We have been using the service for over 4 years and it has been great to work with. It has all the features and capabilities we are looking for and will continue to use it as our primary VOIP provider.

**What do you dislike about VoIP.ms?**

The UI is a little lack luster for some of the features in the back end. It can be confusing setting things up, but once you have it going, it works like a charm. The service takes time to configure and will need someone dedicated to makeing  it work the way you want it to. It is not something we found we could setup overnight but it didn't take too long to get up and running.

**Recommendations to others considering VoIP.ms:**

If you're looking for a good quality service, I would recommend Voip.ms. We have used them for over 4 years and their service has been excellent. They have phone numbers available in almost all parts of the world which is a key value proposition for us as we look to have local and toll freee numbers in many of the markets we service.

We use Voip.MS for our local and international sales and support numbers. It helps us find the local and toll free numbers we need in each of the markets we service which is helpful to provide local access for merchants who use our service.
