VMWare has been the most reliable and most efficient way to do PC virtualization. I have used it for over 18 years and always kept up with updates. It has great snapshot features that allow you to go back in time to a certain time in the VM's lifetime. Fast, efficient and able to work with Windows 11 and its crazy requirements, it's a must-have for a developer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about VMware Workstation Pro? VMWare does not work well if the host machine has support for Hyper-V installed in the background even if you are not planning to use it. It also has issues with VM's that have Hyper-V installed. This becomes problematic with doing mobile development with the Android Emulators that come with Microsoft Visual Studio. Recommendations to others considering VMware Workstation Pro: If you are on PC, try out Hyper-V first and see if that meets your minimal needs, but if you want a full featured and easy to use Virtual Machine platform, you cant go wrong with VMWare. I use it for playing with new versions of the operating system during Windows Insider sessions. For me I like the ability to "blow up" my work and try new things without fear of damaging my PC or my work.
