VCF accelerates customers’ digital innovation with faster infrastructure modernization, a unified cloud experience, along with stronger cyber resilience and platform security. VMware Cloud Foundation delivers a consistent private cloud experience across ANY Environment - whether it’s a customer managed data center, edge location or any cloud endpoint. VCF supports both traditional as well as modern workloads such as containers, AI/ML workloads and brings modern applications faster to the market with self-service IaaS consumption experience for the application teams. VMware Cloud Foundation integrates leading products including vSphere (compute), vSAN (storage), NSX (networking), VCF Operations and VCF Automation into a single solution, while providing access to high-value advanced services for Application and Network Security, App Platforms, Ransomware Recovery and Private AI. Core VMware Cloud Foundation Components • VMware Cloud Foundation Infrastructure Stack: Incorporates VMware’s industry-leading solutions – virtualization and compute through vSphere for compute, storage through vSAN, and networking by NSX. • VCF Operations Fleet Management: Automate the installation, operations, and lifecycle management of the VCF stack, streamlining deployment, configuration, and updating processes. • VCF Automation Orchestration: Deliver comprehensive operations, automation, and analysis, across the full stack infrastructure platform. • VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service: Built-in Kubernetes runtime that enables enterprises to run modern applications and traditional workloads on a single platform. How VMware Cloud Foundation Works • Workload Compute Platform: At its core, VMware Cloud Foundation leverages vSphere to create and manage virtual machines and containers, providing a flexible, secure, and scalable compute platform. • Storage Optimization: By integrating vSAN into the platform, VMware Cloud Foundation offers integrated, secure, scalable storage solutions that enhance resource efficiency and reduce operational complexity. • Network Integration: Leverages NSX to provide a secure, software-defined networking layer capable of handling the dynamic needs of modern cloud- based applications using virtual private clouds (VPCs) to isolate apps and users. • Automated Provisioning and Management: VMware Cloud Foundation Automation orchestrates key operational tasks in a cloud operating model, reducing the time and complexity associated with deploying, managing, and maintaining private cloud environments. How VMware Cloud Foundation helps you solve your toughest challenges • Infrastructure Modernization: VMware Cloud Foundation plays a crucial role in transforming traditional IT infrastructures into a more agile and scalable private cloud environment. This transformation is key to enabling organizations to deploy core Private Cloud use cases that deliver strategic outcomes that lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), improved efficiency and accelerated innovation. • Application Modernization: Update and transform legacy software to meet modern business, technology and infrastructure needs. Replace outdated, monolithic applications with modern technologies like containers, microservices, APIs, AI/ML and DevOps Automation - improving scalability, performance, security and user experience. • Security Modernization: VMware Cloud Foundation provides a consistent, secure platform with the ability to extend the security architecture even further with intrusion detection and recovery, addressing key challenges such as ransomware threats, disaster scenarios, and the need for advanced security architectures.

## VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Reviews
  ### 1. analysis monitoring tool in massive scale parameters.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** micaela m. | Gerente de productos, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2019

**What do you like best about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

This is a very complete software that you have different functions that are useful to fulfill a complete analysis of any application or if you want to make graphs and that the applications that go together with the cloud take full advantage of them.

**What do you dislike about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

To use this software, you must know a little about what it is based on since it is quite complicated to know how to use it since it can usually be a bit difficult to configure some things to use it.

**Recommendations to others considering VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF):**

Since this software began to be used, I can say that with it we quickly obtain specific information and have the best query language that you can find to examine our data and understand it, that is, we now rely on data and parameters to make our decisions, Wavefront It has become a fundamental and indispensable element of our daily operations.

**What problems is VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has helped me a lot for those whose applications work under the cloud that is why I have been able to give an analysis monitoring to each and every one of them since taking control of all those applications that we host under the cloud is somewhat difficult but thanks to the benefits and the different functions that wavefront gives me, it has helped me to carry out new code parameters in an instant and thus optimizing resources for growth.

  ### 2. 6.5, a lesson in not listening to customers and lost productivity

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

I love the hypervisor; stable, reliable, great features. vCenter, when working, is mostly reliable.

**What do you dislike about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

The web interface that is now mandatory as of 6.5 is an absolute nightmare. Any company that had a policy banning Adobe Flash now must backtrack and allow it given the HTML5 interface only partly works. The web interface itself, regardless of which one you use, is a mess of random failures, not knowing what VM you're really acting on, not knowing what host you're changing a setting or service status on, not knowing if status being reflected is accurate or not, so on and so forth. Moving around in it is clunky and time consuming. My staff waste so much more time doing common tasks in 6.5 than prior versions. I've complained to my sales rep, doesn't seem to help and I've seen no indication that Vmware cares.

The only saving grace has been that running it as an appliance has greatly reduced its resource consumption and licensing costs compared to Windows + SQL. Speaking of licensing though, the features that should be in vCenter, require vRealize, and the pricing on that is absolutely stupid. I can get nearly the same functionality for free by just buying Nimble storage.

**Recommendations to others considering VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF):**

I know nothing about HyperV, but it's on my radar given how frustrating 6.5's interface is.

**What problems is VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped greatly in virtualization and removing unnecessary power circuits / rack space.

  ### 3. Interior design

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2018

**What do you like best about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

I liked how easy it was to navigate the program, it’s very user friendly which makes it a pleasure to use professionally.

**What do you dislike about VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)?**

Although user friendly, I feel as though it took a Long to become familiar with the program. It was a lot of trial and error to teach myself the program and wasn’t productive until I was comfortable.

**Recommendations to others considering VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF):**

Stay patient

**What problems is VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helpful for getting projects done if you know how to use it. You know it’s accurate
