The main part VLCR provides ability to have secure and isolated environment for your VMs to run in case of compromitation. It it gets implemented quite easily - easpecially in the target site, where everything is manageg by VMware. On source site you just need to deploy Connector which integrates to your vSphere environemnts and connects to cloud. The configuration is done from cloud console and enables you to configure features around the VLR solution. Once the environemnt and replication/security characteristics of your workload are set up, the replication is done on periodic basis which you also choose. Support is provided based on bundles and mainly is about troubleshooting the Connector appliance and in most cases it is about network connections **What do you dislike about VMware Live Recovery (vLR)?** The support can be the pain point as with many other vendors. There it is a little bit simpler as VMware has its own access to the target site so they are able to check some things by themselves. However what I did find was a seemless and robust system that is fast and effiecient file level recoversystem, granted my solution was good enough fortunately to use it, but as far as saving one of my test VMs I found it to be VERY good! Its suuper user friendly making it easy enough to teach it to my other sysadmins on site and work with third party IT solutions companies, It has allot of storage support options and the documentation is fairly comprehensive enough to guide me through each independant use cases. I loved my short time with Live Recovery only if you use VMware exclusively! **What do you dislike about VMware Live Recovery (vLR)?** The only major downside is it is extreemly resource heavy on large scale recoveries. which i guess is somewhat expected.
