It's hard enough managing tasks without a barrage of emails coming through and pushing the tasks further down the list, Viva insights really helps you out by pointing out important people and follow up emails based on the responses in those emails and how much you liaise with them. I also really like the meetings run down and the prep time, because it's Microsoft it integrates with Teams out the box and everyone else knows what's going on from your Teams status. Like all systems that aren't a human reading an email, Viva get's it wrong sometimes and flags emails that have already been dealt with or important people who you've only spoken to a few times and not others who are regular. I think being able to have a bit more control from the start of who and what is important or even a new option like "flagged" but " Viva" or somthing and it could learn better what needs following up. I enjoy the automated email each week and then the monthly review. It being automatic helps me because I'm incredibly forgetful and would likely forget to look at it. The things I dislike about Viva Insights are the overemphasis on data and metrics. At times, it's unhelpful to see productivity and peak performance times without considering the qualitative aspects of work, such as creativity, innovation, or quality of output. Some of the user inputs could be a little more flexible. Setting a consistent time to reflect may work for some people, but the variability of my day to day schedule means some of my personal reflections are missed because I was unable to use the notification. I am terrible about blocking off time for getting caught up. Viva blocks off focus time so I can't get my catch up time scheduled over. It helps me predict my habits to stay on task.
