The multi window support helps in maintain all the codes that includes the XML,CSS, JAVA and we can work upon it at the same time.
There is console that we can use to execute the program, I used the Visual Studio to create a react.js app. It was fun to work on! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is very less to dislike here, almost everything is in perfection here. Yet installing python packages is sometimes a pain. And plugins are very easy to download but they are very glitchy and do not perform as they are meant to be. The plugin part of the app needs to be a bit more polished! The development structure for .NET aplications. It is excelent because this software is made for it and you can install it, execute your applications with out any problem.
Also, there is a complete library about nuget or tools that you can just download. This is extremly helpfull to build new software and apps, with out errors and stady apps.
Finally, I love this so much because it can works perfectly with SQL Server that are my favorite DB Engine and it can integrate with Microsoft VS with many tools, like LINQ and Code First. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes there are problems with permisons and access to files, may be if this software can upgrated or set a parameter to execute all as an admin, so that this restrictions doesn't stop our develops and apps.
Also, the errors sometimes are dificult to intepretate, you have to use try cacth in many lines of code because there is a change that the error IDE shows you will tell you nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Visual Studio have the following flaws:
1. Sometimes it is tedious task to identify the line of code, where the error or defect is present.
2. Large amount of space will be consumed in order to install Microsoft Visual Studio.
3. Occasionally MSDN will not be sufficient to learn a concept in a better way.
4. It might be very hard to execute older project or program developed using older version of Microsoft Visual Studio in subsequent version of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a lot of shortcuts which makes typing code a lot easier. It's suggestions are also quite accurate and help in enhancing speed of writing code. Its debugging features are also quite great and are really helpful in finding bugs in code.It provides support for many programming and scripting languages. It also has a customer friendly support which is really beneficial if one's program isn't running properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very huge and covers a lot of disk space. Also, its search feature is sub optimal and usually doesn't give accurate results most of the time, which is quite problematic especially if one is working on a large project and want to search some minute detail within it. It is also more expensive than its competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is by far the best tool with which you can take care of code development, configuration management and deployment.
You can easily integrate it with version management tools like Git, SVN and TFS. It also lets you to integrate with third party tools like beyond compare.
The diff and merge tool that is available with Visual Studio is good and you can configure it as per your needs.
Availability of support for multiple coding languages will make it as one tool for the entire time which makes my Admin's work easy to install and maintain the IDE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the tool is bit slow and ends up in restarting. The IDE itself is bit bulky and you need to choose the right options while installing to make it lean Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very useful for software developers. We can code, debug check in and deploy to production via azure as well. The biggest upsight for me is we can work as a team there and check in / download the code as well so all are in sync.
It is very useful for BA also. they can create user stories in TFS i.e. team foundation server of Microsoft which is synced with Visual studio so while check in we can mention user story id or the task which we create under it
It is very useful for managers also. They can trace the project progress with admin access in tfs and can see individual performances with hours logged in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It do get lags sometimes so I hope they will fix the issue with an update soon,
It also gives some times compatibility issue and even though my file is checked out it doesn't show.
so I need to make changes again to my file in order to make that file check out so I can check in the changes to server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visual Studio is the ultimate development environment for any project, small or large! I personally switched to Visual Studio while exploring options for IDEs as I was stumbling through various alternatives such as Repl.it and Atom that simply didn't meet the standards I searched for. VS Code has everything a developer could ever want, it has a light-weight build, it is fast & reliable, and it has extensive features that isolates it from all its competitors. I personally am a major fan of the LiveShare extension enabling developers to join each others' remote servers and cooperate on code simultaneously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally, the extension titled 'Live Share' utilized to allow developers to cooperate together becomes slow or crashes if a large sum of developers are present on a single developmental server, yet such a consequence is expected. Although I do not have any direct issues with the platform, the only thing that VS Code currently lacks is a designing feature on the application itself. Being capable of designing, programming, and deploy code all from one program would be revolutionary and the perfect addition to this IDE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has all the features integrated required to code in any language like debug, lint checking and run the code. It is very good in integration with github with pulling and pushing of code along with merging the code. It provides many inbuild features for microsoft supported language dotnet and also for the javascript like installing of the package nuget and various other extensions that are hard to use and install in other IDE like atom etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has plugins that are hard to work with. Sometimes the configuration for debug does not gives proper result. Needs more elaborated document including setup for multiple projects. It is providing more features for dotnet instead of java. It requires various setting in java that requires eclipse to be setup. There are various java based language like apex and other for which eclipse is better choice than visual studio Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Visual Studio community edition is free.
Visual studio has excellent debugger. I have worked with multiple IDEs and visual studio IDE is the best.
It provides built-in support for multiple modern languages like Javascript, Ruby, C, C++. I prefer Visual Studio for React, Docker and Kubernetes development.
It provides many configurations and extensions which makes life of programmer much easy.
Visual Studio community is vast and very helpful. Help for technical issues is easily available.
It has huge plugin library.
It can be easily integrated with GitHub. I personally like fixing merge conflicts in Visual Studio than in command line interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visual Studio consumes large memory and slows down my machine some times.
In some times, It warms up the laptop to next level.
Visual Studio provides very large number of features which is daunting at the beginning. Advise it start with the minimum number of features and add extra features as you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A one-window development environment which empowers the developer to develop application for local and cloud environments. The IDE is comprising of very useful and powerful features. Easy to use interface. The best IntelliSense to help speedy development and avoid syntax errors. It enables the developers and organizations to work in teams more interactively and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For being an IDE with numerous features, usually it is difficult to quickly navigate or find any feature which I didn't used earlier. Easy to use but a bulky interface. For being a huge application, it often causes system very slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Things I like most about the visual studio:
- Extensions for different software.
- Themes are just amazing with different colors and fonts of the code/text that we write.
- Auto filing of default classes/constructors/methods/functions is just great in terms of suggestion and speed.
- Shortcuts are customizable and the go-to the definition is just simply wow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As such I don't dislike anything but I think it would be great if there are some simplified get-started tutorials that can help the newbies as the visual studio is very rich in features so one can get confused about what to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Visual Studio is a tool that can help one build any kind of application for most environments and Azure. It has the most features that are needed in any IDE and for cloud development or Windows Development, it works the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest problem with Visual Studio is that it is still a large application. The Application has so many features that it can be hard to navigate and find the correct features needed. The application is also more like a sledgehammer if all you need to do is look at the text in a file and you need highlighting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
