"Visio Review"
5/5
What do you like best about Visio?

The ability to create my vision and build something from scratch. With Visio we are able to layout a schematic of how equipment is connected. This allows the field to use this drawing and connect everything up without the need for additional training. We can be extremely detailed or a simplified drawing. We use Visio for Org Charts also. I feel this tool is much more than an Org Chart. It's use is limitless. Visio is easy to read for a beginner. We use it as a training tool for our interns and all new hires in the Planning, Engineering or Design teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visio?

The licensing fees are a little pricey. I would like to see a corporate rate. I realize w/ a company size of over 40K, we don't need everyone w/ a Visio License. Some departments only need to view Visio and don't need to edit. If there was a tiered system that might work for a large corporation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review Regarding visio software"

What do you like best about Visio?

Visio is the best tool for drafting and drawing of process p&id, BFD and PFD. This software is very much useful for the process engineer to draw a process diagram with equipment like heat exchanger, distillation, vessel, pump, valve and many other instruments inbuilt available which is very helpful for proper drawing of p&id and another sheet.it is very easy to understand and user friendly interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visio?

One thing about Visio software that needs to be an update is we can not share one particular file and also some degree of the interface also needs to be develop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for creating diagrams, system designs, and process flows."
5/5
What do you like best about Visio?

I like that you can use the app and collaborate with others. I shared the Visio file on MS Teams, where other folks on my project can work on it simultaneously. I think this option is way easier than creating process flows on PowerPoint or other apps. Another thing I like is that once I create my designs and flows, I can copy and paste them to other third-party apps (for example, MURAL). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visio?

The saving might seem complicated; if someone has the Visio open on the computer and has it checked out, then you can't edit it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The first choice for creating charts and flows."

What do you like best about Visio?

Templates - Visios pre-defined templates are one of my favourite aspects of this program. My use of these templates have helped me finish process diagramming projects faster than I would, if I had to create them from scratch.

Drag and Drop design - Visios drag and drop design has allowed me to create diagrams without any special knowledge . With its drag and drop connectors, I get to easily edit pre-defined templates and connect icons without complications.

Export - This is a vital aspect of my Visio experience. Because not everyone has Visio installed on their systems, it is important that I am able to export my charts and diagrams into a different format than the standard Visio format. By being able to convert my finished charts into .png for example, anyone can open and analyze my diagrams without needing any special tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visio?

It took me a while to learn how to resize shapes on Visio. My experience has been a smoother one ever since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
