## Visio Reviews
  ### 1. Visio is a great way to process map

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I like the ability to draw out processes, add decision trees and make call outs. it is a great way to get a basic understanding of different functional areas or department overviews.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

I don't like trying to drag click certain arrows. It doesn't always connect where I want it to so I will have to copy and paste to replicate ir.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some functional areas have no process mapping, it is too outdated or there are are just PDFs, not actually editable versions.

  ### 2. Vision experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** giuseppe c. | Uso di linkNotions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

is a software for creating charts and diagrams

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

it's a bit complex to grasp the first time

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The graphics should be improved.

  ### 3. I love the face

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raquel L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Visio?**

In my work as an auditor, the use of this device is essential because it allows you to paint a method through the methodologies of diagrams. It functions as an appeal in the development of electrical diagrams. It provides many available options to quickly create custom diagrams. Drag and Draw features are delivered with gain. The drag-and-drop capabilities make files easy to create and replace. Easy-to-apply tool, requires minimal schooling.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Sometimes, special tools try and do robotic things for you, which generally don't work well and ultimately end up taking longer to fix. The system of adding and connecting traces to containers can be puzzling because there are different types of lines. Use it constantly, however, it would have been helpful if others had logged in correctly from time to time. I really would like to have more control over the vector of the shapes. However, despite this, the operation of this software is perfect and the best for the IT process department in a commercial company.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Save the work intermittently and stay updated with the modern symbol library and update if necessary. If you need to draw charmingly and fluidly to study flowcharts, this is your application. In case you need more complicated functionality, you will need additional time to manage it with maximum overall performance, but I bet that, even if you handle it properly, it can be safe and powerful. Business systems engineers create use cases. We are able to organize all our obligations at work and ruin it in an easy format, which makes it less difficult to train and train new hires.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have resolved within the protection of what is our great control machine the presentation of the motivated evaluation of non-conformities with greater order, cleanliness, and aesthetics, without the need to reorder additional software programs that translate into financial savings for the business. Enterprise provides professional-looking visuals that can be created and used in minutes. It became a floating diagram. Simplified technique flowcharts ideal for communicating certain procedures.

  ### 4. Decent software for making network diagrams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil M. | Technical Support Engineer, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

There are plenty of objects and templates available for making network diagrams.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

There aren't really any useful links to live data. It would be great if it linked to live network data to make live network diagrams.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

If you need live network diagrams, you should consider another product as this isn't really able to do it.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Visio to plan out network structures. We've benefited from quickly being able to make diagrams, and rearrange/relink objects. It also prints out on large format paper very well, so we can make wall posters.

  ### 5. Visio Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashant D. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Organisational Chart tool lets you use outlook data directly to draw an effective diagram. Ability to interact and map networks directly. Create custom diagrams to use them frequently. Visio allows to import existing utecils and re-use it in your diagram. This gives ability to draw the flow diagram faster. Database connectivity helps import table data for further use.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Visio is limited to designing but the output is not in popular formats like pdf. I observed some issues when you run multiple instances on your system.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Visio is a nice tool which covers wide range of features and ultimately benefits in making things organised. I recommend it.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organisational charts, workflow diagrams and technical plugin in a project. Visio helps simplifying the complex logic through simple workflpow diagram.

  ### 6. Excellent product!

  ### 7. I love this tool for creating process documentation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

While you can use this for a lot (It is wonderful for creating org charts!) I like it best for creating process documentation and system integration flow charts. There are lots of standard icons and it is easy to make "smart charts" so that you do not lose connections when moving items on your document.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Visio is not a standard part of the Microsoft office toolset, so if you want to share your Visio creations, be prepared to have to expert them as a pdf most of the time. It is so much better than Power Point for creating some kinds of charts - I wish this were a part of the standard suite in Microsoft Office

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Make sure you have this on the desktop for both IT team members and process team members. it will save them a ton of time over Power Point.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use this for creating data flow charts and process diagrams. It is easy to do and super simple to learn.

  ### 8. Professional looking flowcharts

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan C. | Juan Carita, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I like that the flowcharts I can quickly make with Visio look very professional when printed.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Visio seems kind of old now, and hasn't had many updates. It could do with a refresh.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

If you choose the black and white styles rather than the grey, it prints out much better on a laser printer.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Visio to make quick flowcharts, to show a procedure and then print it out and keep it in permanent documentation. Visio has benefited us by having professional looking flowcharts.

  ### 9. Must have tool for user manuals, presentations, and guides.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Must have tool if you need to generate diagrams for documentation. If you are already using Microsoft Word, it integrates nicely since you can embed your Visio files and perform minor edits directly from Word. This tool is very helpful with generating connection diagrams. Since these are vector graphics, you can export these diagrams at very high resolutions if needed. You can generate stencil files of your products if you want customers to use your products in proposals.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Performance can be slow at time with larger files. It would be nice if automatic anchor points to objects were better defined. Also, exporting files can be a bit cumbersome since it has to be done 1 object at a time and entails multiple steps.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool has been helpful with generating documentation for our product line.

  ### 10. Diagrams creation with visio

  ### 11. Useful tool for creating customer relationship diagrams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teresa S. | Teresa Simmonds, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I appreciate that Visio works on a grid layout, so that my diagrams look tidy, neat and professional.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Visio's diagrams look a little dated. I would like to see some more modern templates that add a wow factor to my diagrams when I present them.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Visio is a useful tool for creating diagrams, if you don't have graphical skills to use other software.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Visio for creating diagrams showing the relationship of customers to intended outputs of benefits from advertising and sponsorship from our publications. It is a useful tool, and I appreciate how I can add objects, snap them to a grid, and connect them to form high quality diagrams.

  ### 12. My old way of creating my to-do list, but I still go back to it sometimes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louie W. | Digital Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Visio's library of templates with icon sets is the best part. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of icons, and you can bring in others off the web.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

There is no way to work on Visio files collaboratively, except for using some kind of screen sharing tool like JoinMe.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Visio occasionally to manage my to-do lists. I can create flow charts with Visio, with templates that have a set of icons I can use and reuse. There are arrows that I use to indicate workflows. Although I tend to use Trello more for this, I still go back to Visio sometimes, especially for a visual type of planning.

  ### 13. For P&IDs, This is the easiest way

Its very easy to pick symbols and easy to draw pipe lines

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Sometimes it is bit confusing when zoom in and out

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have drawn several P&IDs using visio. It is very easy to draw diagrams. No matter how big your drawing is,Visio makes it easy.

  ### 14. Lots of built-in icons, great for diagrams

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | Print Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

i like that you can search for different icons in your diagram and drag them straight in.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Use the built-in templates and it will automatically give you lots of icons that are relevant to your diagram.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a way to make an organisational staff chart for the business. I did this with Visio and it had a template just for it.

I make the organisation of my office, and the steps to make difficult process

  ### 16. Visio is the best for IT diagrams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Simple and has icons that can present a descriptive representation of IT systems.

Latest version is pricey and not part of the basic office 365
It may be a limitation for some that it is a Windows only application.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

There are other, some free, flow charting tools but nothing as good and easy to use as Visio. Worth giving it a try if you are looking for a flow diagram software.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Draw a diagram of ideas or software structure quickly and easily. Comes with all the needed decision/flow shapes in it's template library.

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I like the fact that Visio uses sharp vector graphic assets, so that documents print to the highest quality.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

We could do with the ability to print high resolution on large format documents, but we can just stretch them in Illustrator.

  ### 23. Very easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I have used Visio Professional and SmartSketch at work. No doubt Visio Professional is more user friendly and efficient. The sketches look very professional and elegant. As a process engineer, I have to draw process flow diagrams and other sketches for my project. Life is so much easier with Visio.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

I don't like Visio Standard, which lacks all the engineering symbols. Visio Professional is the version I will recommend. There is nothing else I don't like about Visio. Compared to all the other software, Visio is very user friendly and efficient.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

  ### 25. Top of the line for Diagram-Based designs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I love the fact that it can work with vector images and imports can be done in pdf form. It also has, hands down, the best templates for data flow diagrams, floor plans, and building plans and blueprints.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

The price is absolutely absurd! It is way too expensive for what you are getting. It also takes up a lot of space on the drive, leading to crashes if the user does not have a top of the line system.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Do not expect anything too advanced, but you CAN do a lot when it comes to diagrams!

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users that need to create quick but detailed diagrams and charts can quickly do so now without bringing in an additional software program such as Illustrator, which would also require assistance from a more advanced user.

  ### 26. Great software

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Visio was new for me but easy to learn. I use it to create flowcharts at work and it seems pretty intuitive.

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2019

  ### 30. Visio Block Diagrams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

Microsoft has done a good job of supplying a long and varied selection of objects. I like that this particular software tool has options for creating everything from cubicle diagrams, electrical diagrams, top leveldesign diagrams, and process flow diagrams. The ease of connecting objects by using the available hot spot connections makes drawing connections as well as flows quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

The supplied options for licensing Microsoft Visio Standard and Professional leaves a lot to be desired. The inability to move the administration of a license purchased online to our IT department's administrative control has created a situation where engineering is forced to control licensing directly.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Consider looking for alternative licensing options to the current online-based licensing. Had I known the limitations I would have selected a physical license.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Microsoft Visio to develop and refine system level block diagrams.

  ### 42. Visio Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Visio?**

I love Visio! It was so easy to learn. I first started using it in grad school and wondered why I had not already been using it. I have continued to use the program beyond the classroom. I use it with my own projects as a way to keep my skills current as well as organize my projects and keep information in one location.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

Sometimes the formulas don't always work out and that can be frustrating, but that is only because I was still learning, as an experience user I do not have as many issues. I think the issue was my understanding of how they all work together rather than an issue with the program, but I think more explanation of the issue that is causing an error would be helpful. Or at least a lead to what could be the issue and how to fix it.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

I think Visio is a great tool for students who are learning project management. As well as for small businesses to use as a resource tool. I love that multiple users can log in and see or make changes as needed in real time. I like that it makes adjustments to each task if a change is made. It is extremely helpfull in keeping all information for a project in one place.

  ### 47. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Visio?**

What I like best about Visio it is very easy to use and it has a great selection of various templates and it's also very easy to create a new flowchart from scratch. At our company, we use Visio for any diagramming needs and brainstorming.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

What I dislike about Visio is that the new version of Office is something that you have to get used to, so the adjustment is challenging at first. It would be nice if the product itself was a little more intuitive and could give you suggestions as you work and especially when creating a flowchart or diagram from scratch.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

When considering a tool like Visio I'd suggest taking out a trial and seeing if you like using it and if it makes sense financially, I think it's a bit pricey. Although I do think it's a nice addition to office productivity tools and it's worth it. It does save time and helps achieve a professional look to any diagrams and flowcharts with little time and effort especially with the help from all the template options.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business problems we were trying to solve when using Visio is having the ability to create a workflow diagrams and to have user-friendly and nice looking documentation. We also use it for process flow diagrams to make sure everyone on the team knows what they are responsible for and at what point in the process.

  ### 48. Good for process development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thakur (Terry) S. | Design Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

There is nothing much I dislike in this software.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Very easy to use tool to standardize business processes

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make departmental process using traditional process symbols an new bpm symbol to generate cross functional processes.

  ### 49. Gets the job done with some work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Visio?**

They have electrical engineering components for asic design. They allow you to change the number of inputs for logic gates and change the type of flip flop. You can make your own symbols. The ability to make multiple pages easily.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

It'd difficult to make connections between the components. Making my own symbols is tedious and difficult. Sometimes the lines don't stay straight when they should. Making connections can be a bit difficult. I wish they had some other symbols as well. I have a difficult time zooming out to fit all of the diagram on one print out sheet.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

It really does have a lot of symbols that are great for Diagrams. High Recommended.

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making diagrams for specifications for microchips. Visio is very clean cut, they have more symbols than Google Drive images does. Sharing files on Visio professional is easy as well.

  ### 50. Viseo for all of your flowchart needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett G. | Sr. Training Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Visio?**

The ability to develop usable flowcharts is the most common usage and allows you to create complex flows without having to struggle through other programs that may do the job but are not as user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Visio?**

while it is user friendly, developers could add in some more intuitive features and have a few more out-of-the-box layouts that the contents just need to be shifted around based on your needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Visio:**

Definitely recommend Viseo for any flow charts, org charts, or website framing. Everything else pales in comparison!

**What problems is Visio solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While developing flows for a new website, we have used viseo to exxplain the website flow and since Viseo outputs to many formats, we know that it will be seen by all developers regardless of program usage.
