I find that Visier tracks the time to hire from our applicant tracking system once someone moves to the hiring phase after the background check is completed. It would be better if it started tracking from the moment the candidate signs the offer letter, as the position is essentially closed out at that point. This would make it more efficient. Visier is a great analytics tool. It makes it easy to see your People data in a centralized location and it's quick and easy to put together a variety of different types of analysis. It's also great that you have so many filtering and grouping options so you can holistically look at your data in terms of analyzing different data sets together to gain a better understanding of your business. The main issue I have with Visier is the lack of strong customer support. After joining the platform, I found it quite challenging to receive timely and consistent help. The tool itself can become quite technical, especially when working with Visier Extend, navigating business rules, or trying to understand how the data functions behind the scenes in studio. Based on my experience, their support system leaves much to be desired. Simply linking customers to knowledge articles is not an acceptable means of support. They also do not have any sort of direct support line. You have to submit a ticket and wait quite a while to get an answer which can be incomplete, and sometimes just wrong. I appreciate the ease of use regarding putting together graphs and data, particularly from across different sources. One of the most difficult parts of data analytics is getting all the relevant data together and cleaned up. Visier does a great job of this and takes away the need to constantly worry if the data is available and ready for use. It is very easy to integrate a variety of data sources into the system and utilize them within the same analysis which makes data driven decision more accessible and quicker. There are some challenges regarding customizing graphs and layouts, especially for those that come from Tableau or PowerBI shops where you have more customization ability. There are also some advanced analytics that cannot be done in the system such as chi square analysis, etc. The need to create projects in Studio to do certain changes within the system can get cumbersome at times. If data doesn't exist in a certain format in your organization's systems, you may not be able to use some of the more appealing features (for example, department hierarchies and career paths).

Also, their model seems to be changing so that it's not as easy to onboard new data as it used to be. Visier has a lot of functionality and provides for data engineers, specialists, and users to build and customize their data visuals. I like that you can also add qualitative contextual notes in the dashboard. I really love the function of intersectional data with all of the categories and labels. Some of the functionality is very granular and less intuitive, and you have to go hunting for what you need. I think this will subside with more use of the tool, though it would be ideal for an AI generative chatbox or search tool to be added to the screen for support. Visier is a wonderful tool for visualization -- it is strides above other competitors that do similar things, in that the visualizations are pretty and very easily customizable.

Visier is also very fast compared to other competitors -- can update a dashboard almost immediately when adding or changing filters.

Visier tables are not the best because unlike many of the other visualizations, there are not many ways you can customize these or create easy comparison metrics like an average. Also, you can't set a starting time period in a table that increases with each new month of data -- ex: i want to see all data from jan 2021 - now, that updates automatically with the new month of data in the table. Currently, i have to go in each month & add the new month manually.

The View details lists are very long for some subjects, and there is no way to customize which attributes different users automatically see. Would be nice if you could create different sets of View details lists that you assign to user groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Totally replaced all the work I used to do in Excel. It is a great way for all of our leaders to understand our workforce! And I love that Extend allows us to upload all kinds of different information so we can do any kind of analysis that's valuable for our company! We use Visier everyday! You do not have as much flexibility as tools like Power BI or Tableau to manipulate your data model yourself. Instead, intervention from the Visier team is required in most cases Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
