What do you like best about VirusTotal?

None of my favourite app I review as 10 out of 10. This is everything. It hepled me to check my defected file by 65+ of virus protectors software's in a single web page. Also I liked that very much that each file uploads does not need it read only hash and confirms that it already virus checked or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VirusTotal?

What do you like best about VirusTotal?

Virus total has been amazing to use as an IT Professional. The ability to drop uknown files, hashes and URLs and get quick results about it's potential maliciousness is amazing. This was greatly improved when we integrated it with PhishER. We can scan numerous URLS and help automate responses to malicious emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VirusTotal?

The publicizing of files that are uploaded to paid users isn't super clear. We've had issues with staff uploaded PDFs with customer data not realizing this limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about VirusTotal?

I have been using virus total for years to perform online webpage scanning. Whenever users request to allow blocked websites in our organization, I directly check-in virus total if it is safe. It gives us a fair idea of whether we can allow it or not. We can also scan suspicious files by uploading them. The interface is neat and easy to use. It doesn't take much of our time to check files and the website. They provide all these services free of cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VirusTotal?

It would be good if they provided access to upload multiple files to scan. Uploading each and every files takes a while. Other than I don't see any downside to this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering VirusTotal:

Virus total is more helpful in protecting our PC by detecting harmful websites and files. So mostly, we get everything free. People can make us of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is VirusTotal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We do have a primary firewall setup in our organization, Where we have applied firewall rules which restrict users from accessing some sites. What do you like best about VirusTotal?

With this application we can check the files that we download to our computer before users and so check if it is safe to run them on our computer, the operation of VirusTotal is very simple since we simply drag the file to the website and it will be sent to your analysis, the analysis time varies depending on the size of the file. After the analysis we can see the vulnerabilities, viruses or Trojans that the file contains.

Also recently it is possible to perform analyzes on websites, IP addresses or hash algorithms in the same way as if it were a file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about VirusTotal?

Despite working in most cases in a very successful (I have checked with infected files and has detected) may throw "false positives" in certain types of files such as .rar or executable files that have encrypted content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering VirusTotal:

I recommend using this application to any user regardless of whether you use your computer personally or professionally to check all files of dubious origin that you download. The analysis is very fast and time is not lost, also the application is 100% free so it is highly recommended, better safe than sorry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is VirusTotal solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Virustotal both in my work and in my home to check all types of files or URLs before using them in my devices as a precaution and not to infect my computer and compromise the sensitive information I store. The application is helping me a lot because before I used it I was infected and lost a lot of time trying to recover and being forced to completely format my computer. What do you like best about VirusTotal?

VirusTotal does a single, crucial job: analyze any file, URL, domain, or IP address for malware threats. This is one of those great tools that should really be used both at work and in everyday life. If you're concerned about the potential for malware from any of the aforementioned sources, don't just "wing it", send it to VirusTotal! If Virus Total can't automatically tell if there's an issue, the questionable source will be sent to security experts for further analysis. Sounds good to me! You can also vote and comment, on sites for example, providing information to others. Using VT Graph on any site will allow you to go deeper, finding connected IP address, domains, sites, and subdomains, allowing you to do a little online investigating. What do you dislike about VirusTotal?

It would be convenient to have more information, like names, dates, and histories, such as for domains, when you're really trying to investigate a site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
