## VirtualBox Reviews
  ### 1. Virtualize your machines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan T. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

VirtualBox is the perfect tool to work on multiple operating systems from your computer. It allows you to easily install different systems without format your disk.
As good things, the integration of the virtual folders between the virtual machine and the real machine is excellent. Also the integration of the mouse between both systems is perfect.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

On the other hand, the integration of USB ports don't work enough well, either the audio that normally don't works.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

VirtualBox is perfect for developers who want to test their code. But also for everyone who needs an operating system different from theirs and does not want to waste time. It's really very quick to do, create the machine, load the image of the system and install the operative system normally.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically I use VirtualBox almost daily to test the code that I develop. It is very useful to try your codes in a virtual environment before sending them to production. Also I use VirtualBox when I want to try a new operative system or just a new version.

  ### 2. That was easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konstantin B. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Easy setup, configuration options, ability to install many OSes

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

HiDPI support is missing or didn't work for me.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For example, I needed to reproduce a bug in a desktop app on Solaris

  ### 3. Virtualize any system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph A. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

With VirtualBox I have any operating system you need at any time, without having to format and install systems again.
It is compatible with almost all operating systems, and allows you to define what type of virtual machine you need, at the level of resources or features.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

The only negative part is that if you run out of space on a disk it is not easy to resize it, it requires many commands and often the disk becomes unusable.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

With VirtualBox and an ISO image in a moment you can have a virtualized machine from any host. The integration with the host is great, including the mouse, the movement of files and even the network.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually use VirtualBox to test the systems before putting them into production, saving me the typical initial bugs that the new releases have.

  ### 4. Virtualizing the network for free with Virtual Box

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2019

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

To setup a network or cluster cost effectively, virtualization is the best option where virtual box provides necessary features to help you setup the environment.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

The least helpful part is that it effects the RAM badly and can jam the cluster sometimes.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a huge amount if you go for virtualization instead of buying physical PCs for a network.

  ### 5. VirtualBox is AWESOME. :-)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NAKIA E. | Lead FOH Accountant , Restaurants, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

This VM is very easy to use, and it is very clear on how to add machines, how to do the initial setup, and you can add as many VMs as you need for what you are doing. This is very stable, as I have not had it freeze, shut down on me or have to restart the whole thing. I love how you can either save the state of the machine that it left off in, so you can continue whatever you are working on later, or you can completely shut it down as if you were shutting down the physical computer.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

Sometimes the sizing of the terminal can be either super large or super small. I have a 4k high definition laptop screen so I have to change my resolution or it opens VERY small and you cant read it.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Utilize absolutely everything that this product has to offer! This is a great product with a lot of features that will save you a lot of money because of the lack of physical equipment.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to have actual physical machines helps cut down on cost of equipment needed and is also a big security feature for us. When all you need is the portal on your laptop, it reduces the amount of physical information you have to keep on your laptop. Especially if its a personal laptop because my company does not issue individual laptops.

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Ideal for getting started with virtual machines, this tool allows you to obtain the benefits of virtualization. When I started, I learned cloud concepts by working with Virtual Box, and that helped spark my interest in this field. Additionally, it is very easy to install and maintain. Once installed, you can configure different virtual machines, each with its own virtual resources, based on the physical resources of the host machine. Keep in mind that you can run several machines at once and even work together, but they are limited to the resources of the host machine. The remote file sharing function is incredible.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

For the moment and in the time I've been using this tool, I haven't detected any faults or negative points. Perhaps the configuration to work with several connected virtual machines is a bit complex and takes time to achieve. It's something they could improve.

In addition, it allows me to work in non-native applications of ubuntu, such as office or design applications, which would otherwise not be available in ubuntu.
Finally, every time I want to try some new Unix or Windows distribution, I can do it without needing to formatting my machine and I do not waste time.
In desktop environments it is the best option, for servers or production environments, other software such as XenServer or VMware are definitely better options.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

In general I am completely satisfied with the VirtualBox, perhaps the integration of the units could be improved to access the data between the host and the virtual machine

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

In desktop environments it is the best option, cross platform, good performance, enough updates.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to test codes on all available platforms, as well as to use software from other platforms from the same host

  ### 29. Allows you to emulate machines like Windows or Linux without problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose M. | Desarrollador de software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

This application allows you to enjoy Windows and other operating systems without having to touch the basic partition of your Windows hard drive on the hard drive. You need a good setup to be able to run another machine, as both systems need the screen processor.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I would like the display drivers to load directly when installing a virtual machine on Linux because it is not necessarily easy to do it afterwards.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

If you don't know how to use Windows or Linux, use both at the same time with this application

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem with myself and my company was choosing an operating system that suited everyone: with VirtualBox we could run tests and choose the best for our needs, which were conclusive for me personally, I am satisfied.

  ### 30. Started using this recently, loving it so far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddharth W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

free and highly customizable
Cross-platform functionality
Great amount of community support and documentation available which makes your life easier
Easy to use, even for the first time users

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

No integration feature like Printing direct to host printer, which is available in the competition products.
Full screen mode is not that smooth, as it could be
Transferring files between the client and the host could be an issue at times

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

it is great is you want a VM for doing different types of testing for some short period of time.
Also, it is open source and can be customized alot as per the needs, therefore you can play around with it with literally no cost. It does has soem performance issues, which are not present in its contendor products.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying the various testing environments for the clients. I am primarily using this to perform penetration testing before rolling out a release to the client.

  ### 31. The best virtualization I've ever used

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierpaolo T. | Senior Front End Developer, Government Administration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

First of all, you can handle all the most common operating systems: Windows, Linux, you name it!
With the use of snapshots, you can always be sure that you can roll your changes back if anything goes awry. Kind of undo for your OS, cool, eh?
I use it mainly for two reasons:
1. testing new software without the fear of breaking my machine
2. keep my host OS clutter free by accessing it with no admin rights.
You get support via a public forum but there are people there that are really good.
Last but not least, it is free.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

There is no built-in method to process virtual drives and claim freed disk space back:
when creating a machine you can decide if your virtual hard drive will have a fixed disk space attributed or dynamically allocated.
If you choose the second option, the physical drive space taken will increase no matter if you delete files from the virtual hard drive. To claim that free space back, you have to resort to external tools.
More about that in the recommendation part.
The second drawback is that you'd better set the snapshot folder to a separate hard drive, that has to be significantly big: the snapshots take a lot of space.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

As already said, it would be better to setup the snapshots folder in a separate hard drive.
To compact (and gain back) the physical disk space occupied by deleted files, you have to clone the virtual machine to a new one wit the use of an external (luckily free) tool developed by one of the people in the support forum.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Windows OS is easily burdened by software that you install: a virtual machine allow me to have an OS that is always smooth and clean. Also, I can easily replicate the same working environment on different machines or even migrate a physical machine to a virtual environment when upgrading the hardware, so that I do not have to reinstall all the software I normally use: I just move the VM from the old PC to the new one and I'm ready to start from where I left!

  ### 32. Excellent software to create virtual machines for free

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jouly P. | Analista de Soporte tecnico, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

I like that it is simple and intuitive when creating the virtual machines, it is quite complete and it works really well, you can use several operating systems at the same time without the need to restart the machine, its fast installation does not weigh much, it has a documentation pretty complete.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

That does not have the predefined ISO when creating virtual machines, since not everyone has them, it would be very useful to have a repository from which they could be accessed from the software and use them.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can test the operating systems that you want (Linux, Windows, Mac OS) and their versions without the need to format your machine, it is ideal for testing without harming your equipment, at the enterprise level we can save many costs since we can have virtualized servers without having large amount of irons, it is ideal for beginners and experts for its simple interface.

  ### 33. Virtualization for humans

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janaka B. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Ease of use: VBox is one of the easiest, most convenient ways of converting your single-OS machine into a multi-platform workstation - may it be a Kubernetes cluster, an Oracle DB on CentOS, Office on Windows, the latest Kali Linux, or anything else you can dream of!

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

Lack of support for nested x64 virtualization (x64 VM running another x64 VM inside it - a rare use case, but one that I wanted badly some time back)

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

AFAIK it doesn't support nested 64-bit virtualization; other than that there are no shortcomings that I know of!

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters on single-machine infra
Running Oracle and MSSQL DBs without installing them on the native OS
Connecting to VPNs where the native OS has limited support
Running security audits on Kali Linux, without touching the host OS
Using various Windows software while running on a Linux base

  ### 34. For free, it can't be beat! Great app!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler W. | DevOps Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

VirtualBox is:
- Free
- Easy to use
- Great for virtualization beginners
- Great for educational, personal, or enterprise use
- Has all the features you need built in

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

VirtualBox needs to work on their guest drivers but other than that, everything works very well!

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, I use Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, and VirtualBox. I prefer Parallels Desktop as it seems to be faster and have better guest tools/drivers than VirtualBox but sometimes, Parallels just doesn't cut it. I use VirtualBox for labs and projects, VMware Fusion to connect to ESXi boxes, and Parallels Desktop for personal machines. There's a use case for each.

  ### 35. All you need for virtualize your Operating System!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario M. | Servizi IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

I think that Virtual Box t is the best tool for virtualizing operating systems! In fact, according to me, it is fast, easy to setup and with many customizations options!
It's completely free, it is immediate to use simply select the iso of the Operating System you want to virtualize, and VirtualBox will do all the rest!

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I would prefere a better User Interfarce, the present one is a little Spartan and often not easy to understand (it could be better organized and better managed).
I hate the fact you need to download extra software (Guest-addition) for manage essential features like the full-screen option. On particular linux distro, Guest Additions don't work at all, and you need to bang your head a lot (with tutorial, forum, etc) to try make them work!

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

A tool that has now become essential for everyone, both professionals, students, and simple IT enthusiasts. The tool is free, always updated, and generally simple to use.
Highly recommended!

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual Box allowed us to virtualize all Operating System that we want, freeing ourselves from the weight of install them on our pc. Time is money and virtualbox has allowed us to save a lot of money. In case of problems, viruses, etc, with a couple of clicks you can go back to the previous situation without having to worry about formatting, cleaning etc.

  ### 36. Virtual Box for practice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Virtual Box is an excellent software that will allow you to set up all the virtual machines you want completely free of charge. It is an open-source program. Thanks to it and with an ISO of an operating system, you can create different virtual machines whether on Windows, Linux, etc. Just choose how much hard disk space you want for each machine as well as the number of gigabytes (or megabytes) of RAM that the machine will have. In addition to being able to test different operating systems, you could also create a secure environment on which to run different programs without fear of being infected by a computer virus.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

Actually, I don't dislike it at all, I see it as much superior to the other alternative, VMware, but the latter doesn't allow us to run multiple virtual machines at the same time, whereas VirtualBox does.
The only drawback, if I have to mention one, is that if you're coming from VMware, it requires a minimum amount of time to learn and get used to the changes, since logically the interface is not the same.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Without a doubt, use it.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed us to test different operating systems. We are also doing desktop virtualization.

  ### 37. EXCELLENT PLATFORM FOR OPERATING SYSTEM EMULATION

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Manuel R. | Desarrollador web, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

THE WIDE RANGE OF OPERATING SYSTEMS THAT CAN BE EMULATED
THE FACT OF BEING VIRTUAL MACHINES INDEPENDENT OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM USED
THE ABILITY TO SIMULATE SOFTWARE TESTS WITHIN THE VIRTUAL MACHINE

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

THE INABILITY TO INSTALL MOBILE OR SMARTPHONE OPERATING SYSTEMS
THE AMOUNT OF RESOURCES IT CONSUMES
THE AMOUNT OF HARD DISK SPACE USED

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

HAVE A 64-BIT PROCESSOR TEAM TO USE THE SOFTWARE EFFICIENTLY

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

THE BEST BENEFITS ARE THE ABILITY TO EMULATE THE BEHAVIOR OF SOFTWARE OR AN OS WITHIN THE VIRTUAL MACHINE, THUS GETTING TO KNOW IF THE SOFTWARE IS FOR YOU OR NOT

  ### 38. VERY GOOD VIRTUAL MACHINE ADMINISTRATOR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LUIS MARTIN M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Creation of virtual machines for Linux with very little work
Facilitate the use of workloads through development desktops
Provide standard ways to share environments among developers.
Multiple virtual machines for software testing

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

In general, compared to more expensive VM software, it can sometimes be a bit slow. The full-screen mode can be cumbersome. I have often had a problem with VirtualBox sometimes not rendering virtual machines correctly in full-screen mode.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Very good virtual machine manager, especially if you have a powerful computer to run them with great fluidity.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To perform software development testing and network testing between virtual machines. The ability to use Windows in macOS environments.

  ### 39. Virtualbox, a great option!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Genesis R. | Consultor SOA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Virtualbox is the best virtualization tool I use, I have too many reasons why it is my favorite virtual machine, sometimes I need to try different types of operating systems on my computer, and the great thing is that with Virtualbox it is so simple, I only have that create a "virtual" hard drive in which I will install the desired operating system, all of this of course within my main operating system, without the need to restart the computer to move from one system to another. It is very versatile in that sense.

I can move from one Operating System to another just by moving the mouse between the windows of each system and better yet I can share information and documents between both Systems. I can create a "virtual machine" within my Ubuntu and install and run Windows as if it were one more application. The same can be done in reverse, with Windows being the "host" system and Ubuntu the "guest". It is open source, totally free and available for any operating system which makes it a great choice for those who are frequently fiddling with new operating systems or unstable beta versions.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

When using Virtuabox there is a lot of spending of computer resources. When dividing the computer into virtual machines logically the performance of the computer will decrease significantly, for that reason it is advisable to take very well into account the resources that are used at the time of creating one.

Some functions of some operating systems are hidden when running with the Virtual Box.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my workplace, I sometimes have to test operating systems on the computers in the office and this has helped me a lot since I can test new operating systems without altering the main operating system. For example, if we normally use a Windows operating system and want to try Windows, or even macOS, we can do it with total security using one of the virtual machine applications. In addition, I can also use the virtualized system to perform experiments and test how they affect our system without risk that a bad configuration makes it stop working.

Sometimes, I have to run old applications, those that never updated and only work in Windows XP or something even older, as these incompatibilities exist, then I have taken the option to create a virtual machine for this type of programs.

  ### 40. Solid and reliable multiplatform solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arseni P. | Software Developer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

I like that VirtualBox is multiplatform and reliable on any system. I was working on different platforms: Windows, MacOS, Linux. I like that whenever I need to set up a VM I can easily do so with a familiar tool. Everything is in it's place and very intuitive. Can set external devices, no issues with network and very easy to set resources.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I don't think there is anything about this software I dislike.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have the same, reliable and familiar tool on any platform and development environment.

  ### 41. Great way to run Windows programs on a Mac

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

The ability to run Windows programs on a Mac without having to get an additional machine is fantastic. The program runs smoothly and contains all the functionality I need.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I have to close out all of my applications before launching the VirtualBox, which can be annoying. It can be tedious to transfer files from the Mac OS to the VirtualBox.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Make sure to configure a file in your host operating system that can allow you to transfer files from your OS to the VirtualBox OS.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to run Windows only software, especially data analysis, on a Mac

  ### 42. A simple but powerful virtualization software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Silvia M. | Specialista IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

I really enjoy this software. It's free, can do almost all the things that the commercial virtualization apps do, and can virtualize practically all operating systems currently on the market.
I love some features like drag and drop file between host and guest systems, the shared clipboard functionality. The start and stop of guest system is really fast too.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

The gui could be improved, in general it is a bit slower than commercial alternative especially when you need to install a new guest system or need to change features like space allocated or create new partition. To take full advantage of the virtual machine features (such as full screen view) you must install the Virtual Box guest addition's: for windows it's easy, on linux the installation is difficult and often with many problems especially for beginners.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

VirtualBox do the Job. With free license, and great flexbility for us it's the best way to create Virtual Machine. You will not feel the need for a commercial product by using Oracle VirtualBox!

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have lowered costs (thanks to the complete free license) and increased flexibility thanks to virtualization. In addition we have the possibility to test the product on various real Operating System before releasing it, facilitating testing and bug fixes.

  ### 43. virtualBox in vocational education

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

It is a program that allows students to test the installations and configurations of different operating systems through a free program, and additionally, a version with an open-source license is available.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

There are few, but we can mention that the interface is not entirely intuitive, the resolution is somewhat static, and it seems that it does not recognize some lesser-known Linux distros.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Don't hesitate, go for it

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facing the business world, it would allow having different operating systems on a server PC in a virtualized manner without having to be installed on the machine in a real way. Anyway, as I mentioned before, in the world of education it is very useful for testing different operating systems in class without risk to the host machine.

  ### 44. VirtualBox is a lifesaver!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | Website and Wordpress Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

I love VirtualBox. Especially the fact that it's free. I use it with free Windows developer profiles to test programs and websites in a Windows environment, which is handy for me since I'm on a Mac. It even gets leveraged by other programs I have to create virtual WordPress environments for local development. It has saved me a lot of money from having to buy other development platforms. I'm also able to share documents back and forth very easily between the virtual environment and my computer.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

Sometimes it can get a bit laggy, but I find that happens rarely, and if it does, I just close down some other programs that are running on my computer and it picks right back up.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

I recommend VirtualBox as an easy to use program for setting up other test environments on your local machine.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VirtualBox for both local development of WordPress environments along with testing environments for other platforms.

  ### 45. Virtualization at Its Best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amandeep K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

VirtualBox lets you run any operating system in the form of virtual machine over any host machine, say Windows, Linux or even android. Very suitable for testing on multiple operating systems as it saves a lot of time. You can keep any number of virtual machine running depending upon the capacity of your system.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

Your system needs to be powerful enough to provide resources to both Host Operating system and virtual operating system.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can operating system in virtual form above your existing system.

  ### 46. A service an easy-to-use help

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jean C. | Responsable services clientèle, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Hello, I am very regularly using VirtualBox; does that name mean nothing to you? Well, for me, it is part of my life, every day, and yes, I am a computer programmer and I run Raspbian on it. It allows me to create log files and others on Linux while keeping Windows. It is really useful.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I don't have the bugs that happen sometimes, but they are just bugs because the computer lags slightly.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

VirtualBox, its name says it all. You want to run a virtual operating system (Virtual) in a service that doesn't affect your Windows, like a box where errors will be contained inside (Box): as I enjoyed describing it to you, VirtualBox is made for you!!

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was looking for how to keep Windows while being able to program on Linux

  ### 47. From Small Projects to Large Deployments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | IT Services Contractor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

VirutalBox is in my development environment almost daily for when I need to set up virtual computers. I'll have one running Linux, one on Windows, one as a desktop or server or anything else I need. I can separate them into virtual environments, take snapshots of their current configuration to test things out. It is excellent for testing out development environments or training.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

It's probably my own setup, but it can be slow if you're trying to run several virtual machines, so best to have a dedicated desktop just for VMs.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

Read the manuals and people's instructions. Little things can trip you up like CPU settings.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest thing I use VirtualBox for is for development and training. If I have a client with a system I'm not familiar with, I can set up what they run, test it out, play with it, and know it well enough to serve my clients. If I'm trying to figure out a difficult problem or troubleshoot a client's issues, I can set up exactly what they run, take a snapshot, and then start troubleshooting bit by bit until I find the solution.

  ### 48. Review for VirtualBox

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas R. | GNC - Mission Design Lead Engineer, Defense & Space, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

Virtual Box allows you to run several operating systems with only one computer. I am using it to run an Ubuntu virtual operating system on my Windows 10 laptop. It is very convenient to avoid having to buy a separate laptop, especially since I only use Ubuntu for a few specific tasks.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

The set up is not necessarily super easy to perform. I had to go through several tutorials in order to set it up properly. The software also crashed the first time I used it but hasn't since then.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

It can take some time to understand how to set it up, but just find a clear tutorial online and it should go smoothly.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual Box allows me to use Ubuntu on my work Windows 10 laptop without having to buy a separate computer, so it is very convenient and saved me a lot of money.

  ### 49. Allows emulation of machines like Windows or Linux without problem

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurry P. | Consultant en gestion informatique, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about VirtualBox?**

This application allows you to enjoy Windows OS and others without having to touch your basic Windows partition on the hard drive. A good configuration is needed to run another machine because both systems require RAM, processor, and screen.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I would like the screen drivers to be directly loaded during the installation of a virtual machine on Linux because it is not necessarily easy to do it afterwards.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

If you don't know how to use Windows or Linux, use both at the same time with this application.

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem with myself and my company was to choose an operating system that would suit everyone: with VirtualBox we were able to do tests and choose the best for our needs, for us it turned out to be conclusive, I am personally satisfied.

  ### 50. I regularly use this application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** lorry d. | Human Resources Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2018

I am regularly on VirtualBox both at home and at my business. Personally, I am on Windows, and VirtualBox helps me to emulate Linux machines like Raspbian or others to test or code. VirtualBox offers a complete service with many practical tools and services.

**What do you dislike about VirtualBox?**

I am not really disappointed but certain drivers deserve to be pre-installed but once they are installed there are no more problems.

**Recommendations to others considering VirtualBox:**

You work in IT Virtual Box will be useful to you and will offer you the possibility to test new things on Linux Windows finally all currently known OS

**What problems is VirtualBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

He allowed me to test more than 20 Linux systems and their tools in order to enable my employees to find, in my opinion, the application best suited to their work.
