I think the main reason to get a Vive for me was a roomscale support out of the box. Suited for big rooms, where you can't use oculus. But oculus has roomscale support too, although the area is smaller. Vive controllers are feeling more like you're holding something in your hand like a weapon or tool. Vive controllers seems to be more durable in terms of hitting something, but I'm not sure. Can't tell about Knuckles. The tracking solution is bad. Steam is trying to stay current and help push us into the next iteration of digital interaction. They have built a great platform for small and independent developers to reach a large crowd of consumers. Steam makes virtual reality easy to use and easy to implement. It can be a little buggy at times, but it's also important to keep in mind that this is relatively new technology and it is taxing on your computer. I run my setup with an Oculus Rift S, and I have trained myself to close all Steam and Oculus software when changing games. This seems to help. Virtual reality and the games we have gotten for it through steam VR have been really great to get us moving while playing. It's a whole new way of experiencing a game and it really adds to it.
