From time to time, I receive e-mails secured by Virtru from clients and other colleagues, so I trust it when I need to share something securely. **What do you dislike about Virtru Secure Share?** Long story short: the two times I needed Virtru, I was not able to use it and asked a colleague to do it for me as if I was incompetent. Virtru usability is confusing to me and not at all new user friendly. When I go to Virtru, I want to share something. But as soon as I log in, I'm facing "My Data", "Settings", "User", "Admin" screens, none of them help me do what I need to: share things. I have to remember to go to the bottom of the screen looking for "Products > Share", even after the LOG OUT feature (whaat?). Once I hit the "Secure Share", I'm asked AGAIN to sign in. After making my way to secure share, it's time to share. My first experience: Could not share. Why? As a new user, sending sensitive data, I wanted to make sure how my e-mail would be received by the user, and if I was doing it the right way. So I sent it to myself to check, and everything was working. Then I created the same thing again, this time adding all recipients, but I could not share it because I hit my limit for the day (one email). Result: I asked a colleague to do it for me, as I was incapable of doing it. Virtru did a terrible job informing me beforehand of this, and even worse when trying to submit, because it says: YOUR CONTENT WAS SUCCESSFULLY SENT, even when not delivering the messages. The other case I have is: Knowing I have just one e-mail to use, I just wrote it and add the 4 subjects right away. When trying to send, Virtru said: limit of subjects above limit. Then I tried again with 3, with 2 and could not send. When I reached 1, Virtru said: you have reached the limit of messages today. WHAT? Additionally, it makes it nice that all these messages appear in one email thread, keeping communications organized and easy to follow. **What do you dislike about Virtru Secure Share?** I don't like having to log into the platform to read every email, it is annoying. I'd like it if somehow personal laptops could automatically log in, so when I click unlock email it just appears rather than having to type in my email and password. **What problems is Virtru Secure Share solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Virtru Secure Share for work emails, sending protected emails for student-specific data and information. There’s no complicated setup or learning curve — the “Turn On” secure email button makes it easy to enable encryption right from the compose window. Secure email threads are clearly structured and easy to follow, and uploading attachments is quick and intuitive. The overall experience feels smooth, secure, and thoughtfully designed for both convenience and usability. **What do you dislike about Virtru Secure Share?** I've had a few external recipients mention that they were confused the first time they tried to open a secure message. Making that initial access process a little clearer or more intuitive would really help improve the experience. One thing I’d really like to see is a better dashboard or summary view — something that shows which messages have been read, which ones still need a reply, and overall where things stand. It would also be helpful to have a “Drafts” folder or holding space for messages I’ve started but haven’t finished, or ones I still need to respond to. Right now, if I get logged out after clicking a secure link, I have to go back and search for the original email just to re-access the thread. A centralized place to manage and track message status would make a big difference for visibility, follow-up, and compliance. **What problems is Virtru Secure Share solving and how is that benefiting you?** Virtru Secure Share is helping us stay HIPAA-compliant and aligned with our SOC 2 goals while simplifying how we exchange sensitive information. We handle confidential documents like medical records and internal reports, and Virtru provides a secure, hassle-free way to send and receive those files. It’s a major improvement over tools like Sharefile — much easier to use, with no clunky interfaces or extra logins for recipients. And for a lean team like ours, the cost makes it an even better fit. ### 4. The recipients are also able to recieve without complication **What do you dislike about Virtru Secure Share?** The only thing I don't like is that I have to use the program in Chrome and not able to use it within my google email account on Safari. The price is also an issue, I feel it is a bit pricey and I have to pay upfront for the year. **What problems is Virtru Secure Share solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem it is solving, is allowing my company to send confidential emails to clients without it being exposed.
