"Review of Virtocad – A User's Perspective"
5/5
What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

One of my favorite features is the component library. It’s comprehensive and keeps growing — with a solid range of panels and inverters systems from leading manufacturers. It makes designing accurate and realistic systems much easier, and I appreciate not having to manually add specs or workarounds for common hardware.

From initial design to final proposal, the workflow is smooth and efficient. The tools work well together, and project execution happens quickly.

The layout is clean, and I was able to get started with very little onboarding.

Their support team is responsive, and it’s clear the product is being actively improved. Bugs are fixed regularly, and I’ve been informed that there will be even more meaningful feature enhancements over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

While the basics are intuitive, some of the more advanced modeling tools aren’t as well documented. A few more tutorials or in-app tips would go a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great software"
5/5
What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

Virtocad really changed the way I work. Designing solar systems is way faster now. What I love most is how easy it makes creating the BOM—huge time saver. Honestly, it’s one of those tools you start using and wonder how you ever worked without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

One thing I wish Virtocad could do better is handling rooftop and ground-mounted systems in the same DWG file. Right now, I have to split them into separate files, which makes the workflow a bit less smooth when working on hybrid projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Roof Layouts and Module Management, but Stringmapping Needs Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

Creating a roof layout is straightforward with this tool. The plugin includes several well-known construction companies, such as Sunbeam and Valk. Modules are also available within the plugin, and if a particular module is missing, you can easily add a new one. The customer Support of VirtoCAD is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

The automatic string mapping isn't always the most effective or technically accurate solution. As a result, you often have to adjust it manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy design that provides material specifications for making bids for power plant construction. This is especially important for making turnkey bids.

I would like to emphasize the exceptional technical support that provides answers in a short time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

It is not possible to design a power plant that provides for a combined solution of installing panels on the ground and on the roof of the building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
