What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

I actively use Virto.CAD as an AutoCAD based application for designing solar PV projects. The tools and features provided are designed so intuitively and conveniently that every step of the engineering process feels smooth and effortless. Having every necessary tool—from layout generation to stringing—work seamlessly right at your fingertips significantly boosts work efficiency. I love the intelligent automation without sacrificing control, which allows me to auto-generate module layouts, run 3D terrain/shading analyses, and perform stringing with a couple of clicks. I appreciate the integration with civil and georeferencing tools (plex-Earth), the built-in mechanical and structural load logic, and the automated Single Line Diagrams and system configuration. The initial setup was very easy; I just downloaded it to my PC. Overall, I highly recommend it to any engineer working on solar project design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

I found the lack of native proposal and sales tools in Virto.CAD to be a downside. It would be more efficient if it integrated automated cost estimation, financial ROI modeling, and sleek web-based client proposal templates to streamline sales and bidding workflows. What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

Virto performs surprisingly well compared to its competitors in terms of site layout consistency and accuracy, providing precise analysis and placement. What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

Integrates within Autocad structure and therefore easy to jump between each product. The software is pretty intuitive in the you can import a location from Plex earth or a jpg of the location and draw a boundary outline, then use the frame designer and add the frames to the drawing and the software will layout the frames to fill the boundary, add the stringing etc, produce a BOQ. So all in all its good value for money as i can work on roof top and ground mounted systems with the one package. Customer support is excellent everytime i have used it the guys there are helpfull and will jump on a meeting to help resolve the issues. they take on board customer suggestion. What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

VirtoCAD makes solar designing faster and far more accurate than traditional CAD tools. The ability to import site layouts, model rooftop or ground-mounted systems, and calculate panel placements with shading analysis is outstanding. What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

1. Ease of use - From the straightforward plugin process into CAD software to its detailed yet simplified user interface, Virto CAD makes it easy for both beginners and professionals to get started quickly.

2. Comprehensive functions- Virto CAD integrates all the essential tools you need into one plugin;3D modeling, solar module placement, shading analysis, stringing, cable routing, and more, streamlining the entire design workflow. A standout feature is System Config tab, which allows you to group solar panels (flat/ground mounted) and directly assign them to specific inverters>MPPT>strings for precise system planning.

3. Robust component library - The Virto team did a great job in creating a user friendly library where you can easily customize/ add latest solar modules/inverters

4. Lastly, of all the things, the most impressive thing is the support team. They respond quickly, provide effective solutions, and have consistently guided me through challenges whenever I got stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

While the tool has many positive aspects, there are a few areas that need improvement to provide a smoother experience for design engineers:

1. Some additional features could be incorporated, particularly in the area of tracker systems, to facilitate easier and more efficient design workflows.

What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

I appreciate how Virto.CAD makes rooftop design easier, especially when creating 3D models for PVSyst. It simplifies my workflow by auto-filling rooftops with panels. What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

One of the frustrations I face with Virto.CAD is the time-consuming process required to understand when random error messages occur. Additionally, I find certain aspects of stringing parts of the modules to be quite difficult. Another area for improvement is the limitation in user customization, specifically regarding the ability to add personal naming conventions for obstacles within the software. What do you like best about Virto.CAD?

I really enjoy the easy implementation into our CAD System Bricscad. Virto.CAD is easy to use and can generate projects really fast, where manuel drawing was necessary befor i used it. In my area, ground mounted projects are really restricted and small. My daily task is to generate plans and visualisations of plants and to change them frequently because the customers want to influence each detail. I do also need 3D planing because it is hard for them to imagine, how the plant will look like in the actual terrain.

Virto.CAD became essential to me because it is otherwhise not economical to deal with those requests by placing tables manually.

With this workflow, and the Virto.CAD tools system setup, cabel routing and trenching i am able to be very fast responding from the request to a realistic offer for the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Virto.CAD?

Due to the great automated workflow in Virto.Cad it sometimes lacks in flexibility for e.g. rotating and customizing of single tables or groups of tables or changing trenching and cable routing afterwards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
