If those apps were slow or unresponsive, they have a significant impact on our reputation with partners and ultimately revenue. We had a bunch of open source and cloud monitoring tools that we love - Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, AWS CloudWatch but we spent a lot of time jumping between those tools to solve performance problems and troubleshoot app/infra issues. OpsCruise unifies those tools in a smart layer that shows all the metrics, logs, flow and trace info in context + with AI/ML is automates the identification of the source of the issues. OpsCruse gave us the capability to have a birds-eye view of the microservice stack helping us not only to monitor but to be able to trace the issue very quickly. My discussions started at a very early stage of deploying our Kubernetes Cluster with OpsCruise. They played a critical role not just in deploying the tool but in understanding my requirements, expectations and helped customize some of the modules. I am unaware of what I like best about it because everything I used to like about it seems like it has been washed out the drain hose when this software was made commercial. It was ruined and the whole philosophy of the original open source zenoss was gone when this software went commercial. It worked very well back in 2014 when you could monitor and graph SNMP devices, have awesome alerts through email, text, and land line phone calls. The interface was a balance between complex and simple if you just took some time to learn it and earn it. Last time I tried to load the open source version of Zenoss there was some kind of terrible simplification front end that just made it terrible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I think the ability of it to hierarchically categorize alerts and show the highest level which is most likely where the issue is is very helpful and advanced. Many option are not easily customizable. Like if I do not want certain set of Process been detected by a Device, it is quite hard to customize the ZenPacks. With Zenoss Service Dynamics we're able to monitor physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures from a unified platform. Seems to have scaled well in supporting data, devices, and users.This tool really helps our MS Data Center team manage Presidio's internal systems; in particular, our Data Collection Appliances (DCAs) and Linux jump servers. Presents a wealth of valuable information on any device: overview, events, component health, performance graphs, configuration properties, views, and network maps. All very helpful for diagnosing problems and root cause analysis. Our MS Data Center team uses the Zenoss Incident Management Integration Service with ServiceNow for service monitoring and component monitoring. The Monitoring Automation section of ServiceNow provides detailed device information and resolution information gathered from the Zenoss collector that we use to troubleshoot the incident. We've seen improvements in monitoring since migrating from Nimsoft hub to the Zenoss collector. Metricly makes it very easy to integrate into your systems. Even for our application servers we can have an additional layer of metrics that give us insights to the main language we build our apps in. Also - we pretty much paid for our account our first year by using Metricly to determine where we were overpowered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Virtana Platform? Some of the metrics are 'intelligent' as they have a way of calculating a baseline. This took a bit to get used to as this is a proprietary feature that is quite useful. So not really a dislike, but more of something to get used to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The provider gives us metrics but we wanted to aggregate them all into one view. Metricly allowed us to do so. But more importantly, we also got deeper insight into our infrastructure.
