One of the reasons we switched to VI was in part due to the lack of training that made sense for those that are not so tech savvy. Once you've gone through your basic training, it is easy and intuitive to navigate. This program is very customizable and has made setting up and managing the annual review process very convenient. Ashley, the senior application specialist we work with, is highly responsive and always goes out of her way to ensure our timelines and goals are met. We are glad to have upgraded our system to the new ViWave platform - absolutely worth it! **What do you dislike about viEval?** We've encountered some problems with using the platform on the Microsoft Edge browser. While I understand it works best on Chrome, and am happy to use Chrome. Some of the less technically inclined folks at the firm struggled with understanding why it wasn't working on their end. We had to explain to them what a browser is and hand-hold while they downloaded Chrome and figured it out. There was fear that no product on the market could duplicate our app. viEval (Classic) met all our needs. Naturally, there was some change management that we had to work through, but it has been a great experience. Having looked at other vendors, I'm sure the competition would not have been able to accommodate a lot of our bespoke requirements. We are told that viWave is even better than Classic, so looking forward to that. Also had a great experience working with the viEval implementation team, Adam Deaves in particular. Very knowledgeable, creative, responsive, and patient as we went through our implementation. **What do you dislike about viEval?** As we are trying to "learn to fish for ourselves", looking at the multitude of controls can be very daunting, like your looking at an airplane control panel. Perhaps it's just a learning curve, and why the tool is capable of doing a lot. Hopefully viWave may be more powerful, yet not as intimidating to learn. **What problems is viEval solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to retire a homegrown app that required a lot of in-house resources to maintain. This saves the Firm money, and does not put us in a vulnerable position of depending on specific people with specific knowledge sets to maintain the app. It also made it easier to share the data with other interested parties (i.e. Firm leaders, HR, etc). Last, our homegrown app was lacking in reporting capabilities. The out-of-box solution is full of reporting capabilities, plus there are options to build custom reports. ### 4. Weekly check-ins and guided setup help kept us on track. The customization that is available is perfect for our needs. **What do you dislike about viEval?** I feel there are various items that I didn't learn much about because they were so helpful in getting things handled. However, it saved time and I am appreciative. **Recommendations to others considering viEval:** If you want one place to hold all evaluations and gather results in an organized manner, check this out. They are helpful in using what you have for evaluations or helping you create one from scratch! **What problems is viEval solving and how is that benefiting you?** We did not realize how difficult it was to track evaluations over the course of various years. Assigning everyone to evaluate someone manually was also becoming a huge chore. viEval has solved many of our issues, even ones I didn't realize we had! ### 5. I also appreciate that, after having seen demos of other similar software packages, vi seems to be the only one that offers the viWorkAllocation module, which I use in conjunction with the viEval module, that we have used for our Summer Associate work projects for over a decade. **What do you dislike about viEval?** When running individual or group eval reports, it would be helpful if they could be run directly from the viWorkAllocation module, rather than having to go to the Performance Managment (viEval) module. **Recommendations to others considering viEval:** You will not find a better support team, starting from the top. **What problems is viEval solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mostly use viEval for our attorneys' evaluations of our summer associates' work product, and am satisfied with the ease and content of the built-in individual and group reports I can retrieve from the system. I also am an end-user for annual performance reviews, and do find that there are issues with formatting at times (at least with the version we are using) when cutting-and-pasting stylized text into the module that can affect spacing and fonts. ### 6. The platform gives LTO more control over the eval process, and is an intuitive and easy-to-use interface for our attorneys. We have been using the system for a few years now, and have not encountered any technical issues with the platform, which was an issue on our legacy evaluation systems before we moved to viEval. However, I would say the best part of working with vi is the outstanding technical support provided by their team. We had asked for a good number of customizations, charts, and reports that are specific to the way our attorneys work. No matter what feature or enhancement we requested, the team at vi was able to accomodate it, which is a testament to the flexibility and extendability of the base platform, and the technical expertise of the support team at vi. Additionally, I would say that their support is above and beyond what you typically get from a third-party software provider. Their technical support really feels like an extension of our IT department, and they respond very quickly to requests for help or support. **What do you dislike about viEval?** Nothing comes to mind - the product has been easy to support from an IT perspective. **What problems is viEval solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using viEval for our attorney review process, which includes attorney self-evaluations, downward evaluations (partner reviews of associates), as well as upward evaluations (associate feedback on partners). We have been able to consolidate the reviews of our different practices into one easy-to-use evaluation form as a result of moving to viEval. The system also has improved the reports that partners provide to associates. ### 8. From our staff side, it's quick and straightforward to use, which makes administering these processes very simple. **What do you dislike about viEval?** Not mcuh that i dislike - there are still many options/configurations which would make it hard to do a process from start to finish without the help of vi, but the help they do provide has been superb. **What problems is viEval solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we did processes in the old system, we were having to send a lot of emails outside of the system. Now the new system allows us to really customize the experience to make it nice and streamlined a reduce work outside of it. ### 9.
