Over roughly 6 months of partnership with VidCruiter, I have been very impressed with their customer service. It is not so much a matter of dislike, but an area of concern and caution when it comes to new technology. A potential pitfall of inserting technology into the very human process of hiring is impact on candidate experience; we are finding that it is important to remember that technology can't take the place, entirely, of human interaction in the eyes of candidates. VidCruiter is a great tool that has helped us save an immense amount of time screening candidates for high volume roles. It eliminates the back and forth of scheduling phone screens/interviews because the hiring manager and candidate complete their part on their own time within a specified time frame. VidCruiter gives you the time to plan out your questions for a candidate and keep your interviews consistent. It's user friendly for both recruiters and hiring managers to collaborate on candidate feedback as well. The rating system is very helpful when comparing candidates for a specific role. There are some features that aren't as intuitive as you would want them to be. For example, when you are trying to create new video interview templates or invite people to rate. Very user-friendly and easy to use for applicants and admin. The VidCruiter team is super friendly and quick to respond to their clients, set up meetings if you need additional help. It's easy to set up new positions with new questions, record videos for those questions, and make the position live.
It has helped our District TREMENDOUSLY with hiring during the summer and during COVID-19. We are able to create a panel online, invite people to be Raters if they are not regular users, etc. Our Administrators can view and rate the interviews while on vacation, from a computer or phone.
I tested the software as the "guinea pig" before we went live with our positions. It's super simple and self explanatory.
We also like that the applicant has to include references and the references receive email notification to complete an online questionnaire that only the software Admin can view. Makes reference checks that much easier!
You get to customize the questions and positions to your specific needs- even down to the number of minutes allotted on answers, prep time for the applicant to read the questions, emails notifications that are sent to applicants, etc.

The only downside is that some candidates are intimidated by video recruiting. As it becomes more popular and well known, this will be an easy hurdle to overcome. The majority of candidates do not have an issue with it, and they always have the option to opt out of a video interview and request a phone call or face to face interview if they prefer. What I love about Vidcruiter over the competition is the fact that the tool is modular so I can build questions into a library with video and sound and reuse it in multiple interview profile. This is great for culture questions and generic interview questions that are the same for all your jobs.
