"IAS Vevox Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I love the ability to reach a large audience at scale, and make learning fun! As an admin, the interface is extremely easy to use and the creation of quizzes is simple. It doesn't take a ton of training to understand and things can be set up extremely quickly, which helped us pivot when we had to move our event from in person to virtual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

At the time we had to use it, there was not a Google Slide integration. I would say this was the biggest challenge we had but now that this is live, we will need to test it and see how it works for us.

One other thing is it would be nice to create one long session but still break up leader boards for specific topics in that section. This is easiest for admin and users so they don't need to continue to log in and out of sessions for Vevox and everything can be in one session but still accurate data. "Flexible, User-Friendly Platform for Events"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I appreciate Vevox for its excellent UI and UX perspective, making it easy for attendees to get started even if it's their first time using it. I like how it combines simplicity on the surface with deeper customization options for organizers who want a more tailored solution. Vevox really stands out with its flexibility and focus, which allows us to meet the specific needs of our clients. Its simplicity and ease of access, like providing both a QR code and manual entry code, help remove any friction for attendees with varying technology proficiency, which is crucial during event days. Vevox has always been our first go-to solution for polling and session interactivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I've had a request recently for a demographic question to be asked before a user submits a Q&A question. I think this is a valid request, as sometimes an organizer may want to gauge more information about who has submitted a particular question to better understand why they are asking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

We're glad to hear that you appreciate Vevox's UI and UX, as well as its flexibility and focus on meeting specific client needs. We understand your request for a demographic question before submitting a Q&A question and will pass this feedback along to our development team for consideration. In the meantime in your data report you can see what every user has responded to on a poll, if it is identified you could get the information here to look at alongside your Q&A. Thank you again for the great review!

"Streamlined In-Class Quizzes using Survey, with Moodle Integration and an Improved Presentation View"
4/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

The ability to use surveys as self-paced quizzes for in-class assessment, including low-stakes summative assessment, is particularly strong. Students can work at their own pace within a set window, and as Vevox is integrated with Moodle, scores can be automatically transferred into the gradebook, which makes this viable at scale.

The updated presentation view has noticeably improved the teaching experience. Being able to embed slides directly into Vevox reduces the need to switch between tools, and the option to zoom and adjust font sizes supports accessibility and inclusive delivery.

For synchronous sessions, spin the wheel is a simple but effective way of increasing participation. It works well for discussion prompts and selection activities, and the ability to reset or retain options gives academics flexibility without adding complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I find the Excel import document exemplar a bit cumbersome to understand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Vevox, especially regarding our new presentation view and spin the wheel feature. I will pass along your concern around the Excel import to our feedback team. Thanks again Husna for the review!

"Smooth Quiz Hosting with Intuitive Interface"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I use Vevox for personal and internal team engagement, and it does a great job of running live quizzes virtually with colleagues across different regions. It's quick to set up, easy for participants to join, and the interface feels clean and polished. This makes my sessions run smoothly, and the team genuinely enjoys it. I also appreciate how flexible and helpful the Vevox team is, as they work well with my small, occasional use cases without making it feel like a one-size-fits-all approach. Vevox is a great tool for clean and fun engagement, especially when I'm looking for something that looks neat, is easy to run, and can fit different needs. It's a software I was looking for, and it's intuitive, allowing me to set up sessions and build quizzes quickly while participants join with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

I think more in-app tips/tooltips while building the first quiz would help first-time admins avoid trial-and-error. It would be nicer to add more in-dashboard guidance for first-time hosts, such as tooltips/help icons or a short setup checklist to make it even more intuitive and end-to-end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

We're thrilled to hear that Vevox has been a great tool for your personal and team engagement, and that you find the interface clean and polished. We appreciate your feedback about in-app tips and guidance for first-time hosts, and we'll definitely pass that onto our development team. Thank you for using Vevox to run live quizzes for your distributed team!

"Enhances Student Engagement with Seamless Integrations and Smart AI Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

Vevox is a great tool to enhance interactivity and engagement for students in higher education. It can be integrated with Canvas PowerPoint, MS Teams and Zoom. I like the AI feature within the Quiz which can generate questions for you on a topic or an uploaded document. I am excited to trial the new the Spin the wheel activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

So far I have found:

- the person who created the question has to share their screen to be able to display the answers to the rest of the audience

- the answer spaces on the PowerPoint slide need to to be realigned as they can overlap the question in the title Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

We're glad to hear that you are enjoying the seamless integrations and smart AI features of Vevox! It would be great to hear more from you about feeling you need to share your screen with the audience to show the responses. The participants should also be able to see the results on their devices, so it would be good to work with you on this if this isn't the case! We can also see if we are able to help you with your PowerPoint design to help stop things overlapping. You can contact us at support@vevox.com.

"Streamlined Student Assessment with Seamless VLE Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

I like that Vevox is very similar to tools like Wooclap and Kahoot, allowing for various types of questions to be inserted into teaching slides and providing live information from participants. What I appreciate most is its integration with Bright Space, our current VLE. This integration means scores from student participation are directly published into Bright Space grades, which saves a ton of time in tracking student engagement and performance. This feature is really valuable as it streamlines the grading process. I also think Vevox can be integrated with other systems, though I'm not fully familiar with those yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

There are certain question types I would have hoped for, especially card sorting & matching. A nice to have would be allowing Maths algebraic inputs as answers (an on-screen keyboard where students can choose some structures such as fractions, indices, roots, integrals then input their algebraic expressions). The other aspect that I don't like is that all Vevox question slides on PowerPoint add-in have the same layout and font size. Some longer questions don't display fully, but if I change the font size on Slide Master, it changes all Vevox question slides. I would like to be able to have more layout control on individual Vevox slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

We're glad to hear that you find Vevox's integration with Bright Space valuable for streamlining the grading process. We appreciate your feedback on the desired question types and layout control, and I will pass this onto our development team.

"Seamless SSO and Easy PowerPoint Integration Make Vevox Beginner-Friendly"
5/5
What do you like best about Vevox?

Vevox offers seamless SSO integration, building trust and simplifying access for users. Its PowerPoint integration is quick and intuitive, requiring less than ten minutes to set up. The platform works smoothly across both mobile and desktop devices, with QR code access further enhancing participant engagement. The platform is particularly beginner-friendly, making it easy for anyone to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vevox?

Speed scoring in Vevox which is based on time lacks transparency, as reports only display the total time per participant instead of the time taken for each question. This limits visibility and reduces clarity for both leaders and participants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kate Beadell of Vevox

Thanks so much for your detailed feedback Shubham! We're glad Vevox is helping make your meetings and events more interactive and easy to set up. I will pass your suggestion about speed scoring transparency onto our team.
