What do you like best about Veritas NetBackup?

Using NBU saved me a lot of overheads in integrating different storage units procured over time. I was no longer stuck with a single vendor for my backup and archival needs. The single console management and deduplication are my most appreciated features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Veritas NetBackup?

NBU is an expensive solution in the market. The peers come with lesser cost. Though dynamic, I had to scrap my backup exec to implement NBU. My 5-year-old investment was non-reusable. This is unexpected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetBackup for SharePoint"

What do you like best about Veritas NetBackup?

I like the best that NB has an add-in for SharePoint so in case there's need to restore a single item from a list or document library it can be done easily.

I dislike the fact that every server needs a license in a SharePoint Farm; servers such as the indexing server shouldn't need a license if NetBackup will not be used for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Veritas NetBackup:

I would recommend engaging with NB or one of their re-sellers to perform the initial implementation to make sure a proper configuration is in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
