As a small business, I appreciate the ability for our WC coverage to be included with our benefits. I like the dashboard/portal with access to reporting all in one location. Due to higher turnover (perceived), it's challenging to know exactly who should be contacted in the event a question arises. The full disclosure of "back-door" emails (401k, garnishments, wc) are not shared and are generally not disclosed. Emails are "forwarded" to necessary contacts and you really aren't sure if someone is going to get back to you. We've had challenges within payroll processors/staffing - while our account seems a bit challenging, when a new vensure hire comes on, it takes extensive periods of time to understand how to process our account. Suggestion on our payroll could potentially be - using AI to write an operations procedure for our specific payroll process. What problems is VensureHR solving and how is that benefiting you? Our business operates in 3 states, which mean we also have employees living in 3 states. Having VensureHR process our payroll and process the different municipality taxes, additional withholding requests, and tax designations for our divisions has been extremely time saving. The International payroll specialist process the payroll correctly and produce the reports we require to facilitate our needs and they understand the time difference, so everything is process to our timelines. The support for our Client Relation specialist is excellent, she replies to all our queries and the support is excellent. HR support is excellent supporting us for different legislation across USA. The benefits packages and prices which the company provide are excellent. They even provided me with step by step guides showing me how to set up the new benefit and also information to help employees. Unlike many HR/payroll platforms that push you toward chatbots or generic ticket queues, Vensure gives us access to real people who actually understand our account and respond quickly. This has been especially valuable for benefits-related issues — when an employee has a coverage question or an enrollment problem, we get a real answer fast instead of getting stuck in a support loop. New requests (whether it's a plan change, a new hire setup, or a benefits adjustment) also get handled promptly, which matters a lot when you're running HR for a small, fast-moving company without a dedicated in-house HR team. Beyond support, the platform itself is straightforward to use. The UI/UX is clean and intuitive, so even non-HR staff on our team can navigate it without much training. And from a pricing/ROI perspective, we feel we're getting solid value — the cost is reasonable relative to the breadth of PEO services (payroll, benefits administration, compliance support) that would otherwise require multiple vendors or additional headcount to manage in-house. While the day-to-day system is generally easy to navigate, generating and customizing reports (payroll, HR, benefits data) feels less intuitive than it could be. It would help to have a more user-friendly reporting interface — easier filtering, clearer export options, and more flexibility to build the specific views we need without having to go back and forth with support just to pull a report. This is a fairly narrow complaint rather than a dealbreaker, but it's the one area where the experience doesn't quite match the strength of the rest of the platform. Before working with Vensure, we struggled with managing U.S. payroll, benefits administration, and multi-state HR compliance in-house as a small, fast-growing company without a dedicated HR department. Each new state we hired in brought its own registration, tax, and compliance requirements, and keeping up with that alongside day-to-day payroll and benefits admin was a real drain on time that should have gone toward growing the business. With Vensure as our PEO, we now have a single partner handling payroll processing, benefits administration, and multi-state compliance, backed by responsive personal support whenever an issue comes up. This has resulted in significant time savings for our finance/HR function, faster turnaround on new hire setup and benefits enrollment, and much lower risk of compliance missteps as we've expanded into new states — without needing to build out an internal HR team or juggle multiple vendors for these services. Unfortunately, I haven't had anything positive happen with VensureHR. The software is clunky and difficult. The integrations don't work as expected. The company's performance is below even the basic standards for payroll processing. The pricing is good but the ROI is negative. The onboarding lacked responsiveness and people are not helpful. The main challenges have been the level of manual intervention required for routine payroll and benefits administration, limited administrative control within the system, and inconsistent or delayed resolution of issues. We have experienced payroll configuration errors, retirement plan administration challenges, problems with Puerto Rico tax withholding and PTO configuration, and system functionality that has not always aligned with what was presented during implementation. These issues have increased processing time, required additional audits and reconciliations, and created greater dependence on Vensure representatives for routine corrections and administrative changes. Overall, we would like to see stronger system reliability, more proactive quality control, greater client administrator access, and faster, more consistent communication and issue resolution. VensureHR was intended to consolidate payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and related HR administration under one provider. However, at this stage, we have not experienced a clear net operational benefit. Many routine processes require more manual intervention, additional reconciliation, and greater dependence on vendor support than under our previous system. The platform does provide a centralized structure for these functions, but the implementation and ongoing system limitations have reduced the expected efficiency gains and increased the administrative effort required to process payroll accurately and on time. When we were struggling financially and had trouble making payroll for two pay periods, they were very patient and understanding throughout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about VensureHR? They nickel and dime everything. On top of that, we have to ask repeatedly for them to fix the same issues over and over. A few examples: PTO—they still haven’t gotten it right, and we’re 7 months in. This will single-handedly be the reason we switch to a new PEO. They also get the payroll period wrong EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. New employees also aren’t enrolled into payroll unless we reach out, so we end up emailing them to update it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Also, we're asking them do some retroactive pay since we're now fully funded and it's like we broke their minds. Upsides: health insurance is a big savings. The Prism software they use offers extensive reporting, is relatively easy to use for administrators once set up, the people I have worked with are great. Nonetheless, VensureHR didn't have 1 point person to oversee our onboarding process. There were several people, several departments, a lot of confusion resulted and answers to issues took lots of follow-up. Varying levels of experience by their staff people hindered rapid resolution of issues or questions in some cases. Fortunately, the sales manager could be counted on to know the person who could resolve things. The sales person with our account was always helpful. All but one staff were helpful. Some issues that arose were baffling to me, how could what seemed like a simple problem to resolve take so much time, and was there anyone who understood? In the end everything worked out. It was challenging!!! Mistakes were made. We often didn't know who to talk to, and Vensure employees often seemed like they couldn't make decisions themselves, or didn't know enough to answer questions when we didn't understand things. It took a lot of work. I think the next time, if we were to switch and I was the point person for our organization it would go a lot smoother. We hadn't used a PEO before and had what turned out to be unrealistic expectations to implement the change. I think Vensure also had some unrealistic expectations of their staff. It seemed like people were sometimes pressured with too much to do, another department way behind. As far as other tools that wasn't our focus. As the admin, I appreciate that I haven't encountered a lot of questions, making the transition from our previous payroll processing system a great experience. The system is relatively affordable, which is important for us as a nonprofit, and it's been widely accepted in our organization without much pushback. Even if they've been terminated, they still populate in the following payroll field as an active employee.
