**What do you like best about VensureHR?**

Historically the way they handle all of my HR needs form payroll to benefits to answering questions and guiding me through challenging situations has been awesome.  It is nice to have one team that gets to know my business and guides me through all the HR challenges that come up.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

It seems like we are continually getting a new team to work with every few months and each time that happens we get worse and worse support and there are more and more mistakes.  I can't even keep track of all the different contacts for all the different companies and that makes it difficult to resolve issues and there have been a plethora of issues lately to the point of it being untenable for us.

**What problems is VensureHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are mitigating my risk in the HR space, but it is damn difficult to get any answers.  They drop the ball constantly and I am the one pushing all issues along.  Proactivity on their part is zero.

**What do you like best about VensureHR?**

I like the personal customer service I receive from VensureHR and the timeliness in processing our payroll. It's important for me to have a good working relationship with the payroll team, and I appreciate how they can give me the specific reports I need.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

The biggest downfall is the time difference. Sometimes it's a struggle when no payroll specialist is in our same time zone. A three hour gap makes a big difference. If a situation occurs and the person who handles our payroll has already left for the day, it is an issue. I feel you need to have people who work in our same state or one with an hour's difference.

**What problems is VensureHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use VensureHR for payroll and workers compensation insurance. It runs smoothly, offering great customer service and timely payroll processing. They create any reports I need, which is super helpful for maintaining a good working relationship with the payroll team.

**What do you like best about VensureHR?**

I like VensureHR for their great customer service. I can get in contact with someone via email very quickly, which is really helpful. They also walked us through the whole implementation process and were willing to have as many calls with us as we needed. When setting up the platform, they provided all of the necessary instructions and offered additional support whenever we needed it.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

I wish that their portal was a little bit prettier. There's a lot of information there, a lot of reports, and links to different places. But it's not as visually nice as other portals.

**What problems is VensureHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VensureHR integrates everything in one place for benefits access and administration. It offers strong customer service with quick email responses and guided implementation. We switched to it for its robust platform and PEO benefits.

Excellent communication, with helpful reminders when things slip through the cracks. They’re very responsive and highly knowledgeable, which makes the whole process feel smooth and well supported.

The website can be a bit difficult to navigate, especially if you aren’t familiar with it yet.

Vensure handles all of our payroll and workers’ comp filings on time, so I don’t have to worry about it.

On some occasions it takes longer than expected to get a response to a question or resolution of a problem.

Payroll and payroll taxes processing; benefits offerings; and benefits administration are the biggest benefits. Our administrators have been able to save incredible amounts of time.

**What do you like best about VensureHR?**

The idea of our HR and payroll being under one roof.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

I am a small business owner who used Vensure HR for just over one year, and this has been the most disappointing vendor experience in my 10 years in business. During our time with Vensure, we experienced multiple serious payroll failures, including two missed payrolls despite meeting submission deadlines. I was forced to issue paper checks and reimburse employees for late fees when automatic payments overdrafted their accounts. In another instance, payroll was withdrawn three times in one day, including wire fees. It took multiple business days to recover the excess funds. There were also ongoing communication breakdowns and unresolved benefits-related issues. These problems were documented, repeatedly raised, and well known internally, yet they continued. As a result, we lost trust in Vensure’s ability to reliably manage payroll, a core PEO responsibility.

Due to these failures, we transitioned away and provided written notice on December 11 to terminate December 31. Despite multiple follow-ups from myself and my Practice Manager, Vensure did not respond until December 18, even though several messages were time-sensitive.

Most concerning, on Christmas Eve, just two business days before our final payroll, I was notified for the first time of a $2,500 early termination fee, never disclosed during our transition (only buried in fine print of the contract signed a year+ prior). I was not given the option to adjust our end date. Instead, $2,995 was withdrawn from my account without discussion, $495 more than the contract’s stated maximum. This amount, along with funds owed for benefits calculation errors, has still not been returned.

This has been the worst customer experience I’ve had to date. I share this so other business owners can make informed decisions when choosing a payroll and HR partner.

None, more were created by the time we ended our contract.

The drop menus are user friendly, I am able to quickly find what I am looking for. Quick and easy access to reports, our account team is great! Always available when needed. Over all navigation is excellent.

I have not been able to find something I dislike about VensureHR so far. I hope it stays like this during my time working with them.

The help me with reports that I need to complete insurance audits, they upload requested documents to my company account.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

Below is our feedback on areas where we believe Vensure could improve. We’re sharing this in the spirit of partnership and with the goal of making the experience smoother for both our team and yours.

1. Communication & Change Management
Announcements are often confusing, with multiple changes communicated at once—some that apply to us and some that don’t—leaving staff unsure of what to pay attention to. A bit more clarity and a bit less “plot twist” would go a long way.

2. Inconsistent Support Expertise
The level of expertise among the support team varies widely. We’ve had some excellent contacts, others less so. Usually, we end up being reassigned to stronger team members after something undesirable has happened. We would really appreciate more consistency from the start. The good news: our current team is working wonderfully.

3. Dental Benefits — MetLife Issues
While the benefits overall are solid, MetLife dental has been challenging. Staff have been receiving unexpectedly high bills, and despite submitting reports and invoices, we’ve been told this is strictly a MetLife issue. From our perspective, because Vensure selected MetLife as the dental provider, these concerns should be taken more seriously and escalated as needed.

4. FSA Enrollment Communication
The recent FSA enrollment messaging caused a lot of confusion. Staff were told:

The enrollment period ends in 3 days,

If you haven’t enrolled, you have 1 day left,

If you have enrolled, you have 3 days to make changes.

Even our most detail-oriented people needed to reread it twice—some of us three times and a cup of coffee later. We recommend simplifying the language and clearly distinguishing between the enrollment deadline and the window to make changes.

What I like best about VensureHR is how easy it is to use and navigate. The platform makes handling HR tasks like payroll, benefits, and employee management straightforward and efficient. Their customer support team is very responsive and helpful, which has given me peace of mind whenever I’ve had a question. I also appreciate the range of features offered, as it saves me time by having everything in one place. Overall, the implementation process was seamless, and it quickly became an asset to our organization.

There are very few downsides, but occasionally the system can feel a bit overwhelming when exploring all the different features for the first time. It takes a little time to get familiar with everything.

VensureHR saves me a ton of money as a small business who needs an HR solution, but not a FT employee to do the work. We loved working with Jessica and Dean and all issues were taken care of asap thanks to these two. The interface for employees is easy to use and I can tell my team likes the solution.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

Onboarding was a little bumpy, but the minute I expressed concern we were taken care of. The interface for the HR team is a little outdated in terms of UI, but it has strong UX.

**What problems is VensureHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a more affordable payroll, healthcare, and general HR admin solution and we were doing all of it ourselves. This has taken hours off my plate each week.

The only upside is the Vfficient app for checking paychecks and documentation.  I had to use it religiously iin order to catch all the payroll errors

Lack of response.  Complete lack of accountability.  Slow to respond, and that is when you can even get them to respond.  Such a bad experience

Vensure has not solved any problems.  Vensure causes problems.  They deduct more money from paychecks than they should.  I had their pet insurance benefit for 2 years.  I canceled the benefit by following their instructions.  That was on July 22, 2024.  They were still deducting the benefit cost from my paycheck until 2 weeks ago.  Now, they informed me that they refuse to pay me back for the money they stole from me, telling me that I have to go to the third party benefit provider and "fight for" my money.  They refuse to pay me back

From day one, working with Vensure was an absolute delight. My consultant, Roman, was knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to finding the right solutions for our company. Amiee, our implementation consultant, was incredible. She guided us every step of the way, always patient and professional. Even when we encountered issues, she went out of her way to ensure everything was resolved. I can't recommend this team enough.

I love the platform from a personal user perspective. However, I believe it could be a bit more user-friendly on the administrator side. It's nothing too concerning, just a suggestion for improvement.

The number one reason I love Vensure is the constant support available whenever needed. With previous platforms, it was almost impossible to reach my team for questions or concerns. With Vensure, I can contact my team and resolve any issue almost immediately.

Difficult to say there was anything to like. Every time Vensure came up in internal meetings, I never heard a positive comment.

Completely unaccountable and unresponsive. Payroll errors were a constant fact of life. They had issues with the permissions in their online portal and over the course of multiple years, there were some users at our organization that never had their technical support issues resolved. We were told repeatedly that their tech team was looking into it, and we just gave up after a while.

VensureHR processes payroll. We need payroll to run a business. I suppose you could say the benefits may have outweiged the costs of working with Vensure, though it is difficult to say.

**What do you like best about VensureHR?**

I've had the best experience with our client relations specialists!  Kim Snyder and Christi Pardo are a blessing to our company.  They exceeded expectations any time we had a minor issue with our Vensure services!  They both have been happily available after hours for urgent needs.  The care we have received form them is rare, but cherished.  They truly take care of their clients while going above and beyond!!

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

The disconnect between payroll processing and the benefits team can be frustrating. It would be helpful to have team members on payroll that have experience in Vensure's benefits departments.  Any time we have an issue with benefit deductions, there is never a quick answer and our client relations specialist has to get involved.  The client relations specialist usually has the answer we need before our ticket with the benefits department is involved.  When processing something as time sensitive as payroll, tickets can be be a huge bottlenck in the process of adjusting the issue and approving payroll.

Vensure helps us with employment laws.

I was able to get benefits, which is the only reason I stayed with them as long as I did. Even with that, I left because dealing with the subpar service was NOT worth it.

Unreliable payroll: They are constantly fixing their own mistakes, re-running, and changing your invoices... and the constant turnover of new account managers makes it extremely difficult to fully grasp your payroll. I am a small business, I couldn't even begin to fathom how confusing it would be with dozens of employees.. like I said, it was a NO for me. 1 star, and if I could give lower, I would.

I was able to get benefits from them.  That's about it. I moved from GUSTO running my own payroll to them solely for the benefits. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Find benefits elsewhere or find another payroll company.

My team at Vensure has been instrumental in allowing us to accelerate our growth far past what would have been possible if we were to have to adminsiter HR and payroll internally, or worse, do everything on paper.

My favorite thing, other than the people we work with, is the amount of resources that Vensure has for their clients! System is easy to get use to and fairly intitutive to use. Their partnerships and single sign on make admin work a breeze!

I love that there is always a team there to assist when there is a problem or when we need something quickly. Payroll is also quick and the website is easy to use! Implementation was also a breeze. We have 2 entities through Vensure and it was a seemless process. I love that there are so many different functions and that we can use their system to write a handbook. I log in to the site nearly every day.

I wish there was more that I could change when people are having issues getting registered. Waiting to have someone change a SSN or name when the employee mistypes it the first time can be a pain.

Pricing is very competitive and has not been ridiculously increased over the years that I have used them.  They have many services to use if you need them and a lot of it can be customized to your needs.

Too many different softwares that do not communicate.  Ive used ADP in the past and having to login to one portal for everything is very convenient.  With Vfficient, staff have to clock in with one software, then for payroll you have to import that over, then for approving you have to go into a different portal.  It would be better if they all at least communicated better.

I havent really noticed them solving any problems, but I keep finding issues and bringing them up.  If you do not know who to go to, it can be difficult at times to get things fixed.

The VensureHR team tends to be quite responsive and knowedlge, or can find one of their team members that can help you. We have been with them through some significant transitions, that were honestly bumpy, but they have tirelessly worked to improve their processes and communications. We've enjoyed our tenure overall with them!

Anytime you include another person in the loop, it increases time to an answer. However, this has increased more and more overtime with VensureHR as they've streamlined and learned some things through their growth.

The customer service has been amazing! We have been with 3 other PEO's and we use a PEO so we can lean on their expertise and Vensure is responsive, helpful, reliable, and cost efficient!

The benefits side with Vensure/Thompson Risk has been a bit tricky for some of us to navigate. Using the PHCS network has been an adjustment for our group but our account representatives are always there to offer their guidance.

Their platform has full HRIS capabilities at a better cost than ADP and most of the others. They also have the ability to connect us to global payroll providers for a great cost and that is something we were looking for with our business being across the globe.

The initial onboarding experience with Vensure was pretty good in late 2021. Unfortunately, they did a massive reorg and RIF in early 2022 and things went downhill thereafter. From then on, we really only had one reliable contact and she was often helping us but doing so from well outside her directed scope.

**What do you dislike about VensureHR?**

We had more issues with Vensure than I can elaborate on:
- They ended up double charging us for benefits due to a communication issue with them
- They had multiple account managers who couldn't spell our company name properly (it's not that complicated) and often replied to emails with responses that were so grammatically incorrect that they were hard to understand... yet all of them were native English speakers
- We wasted 100s of hours trying to help Vensure triage an accounting problem
- We switched to another PEO this summer and Vensure ended up cancelling some of our benefits a month early
- Because of their poor direction, we ended up with some messed up SUTA accounts and are still cleaning that up
- Arbitrarily cancelled our HSA with no warning or notice such that employees thought they had it 3 months after the start of a benefits year
- Repeatedly messed up small benefits deductions that would result in random deductions/refunds to employee paychecks
- At one point, I had to point out to an exec that I was their exec sponsor yet they had messed up my paycheck (and the CEO's)
- Hated their implementation of PrismHR. Clunky and disorganized. The Employee Portal would often freeze up, especially during benefits election

We already terminated our relationship because of all of their missteps and problems.

The homepage has a fair amount of information readily available. Finding certain details about pay and time off is also easily accomplished, as well as updating personal information.

The name of the platform, the name within the platform, and the URL are each a unique name, making it very confusing to know which of my umpteen bookmarks to use based on where and how the conversation originated, or if I'm looking for an email from the platform. I dislike how challenging it is to find additional details about the benefits I'm enrolled in, as if you only get those details during open enrollment.

This is our payroll and insurance/benefits system, and only for our US employees. It's useful in that I get paid, but I don't generally use the system more than a handful of times per year.
