No more exporting, importing, and manipulating. I can pull in specific data into a specific cell or I can pull a range of data throughout the spreadsheet. I can build it dynamic and simply change an accounting period and everything updates. I can build a "template" focused upon a specific project and then distribute the template to my project managers who simply change the project number to the one they wish to focus on and the entire spreadsheet can update CURRENT data they way they want to see it. With Velixo NX, implimentation across our organization is so easy. Because I can make the spreadsheet template the way the project managers are used to and the way they want to see their data, integration was seemless. Project managers use it most at the end of the month for helping with their projections. As CFO, I use it almost every day and especially at month end and financial reporting. Because Velixo is so robust and their support features are so clear, I have yet to submit a request to customer support. This is a wonderful product that works exactly as presented. I've used it for 2 years now and couldn't imagine going back to data exporting/importing and manipulation. It's a massive time saver. **What do you dislike about Velixo?** Right now balances are available at the project and general ledger level. Sometimes, I'd like to extract transactional data, but it's such a minor issue I don't give it a second thought. **What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Financial statements configured that way that I want. The initial training was the best system training we've had with any system. I love that it's flexible, I can make a copy of a file, tweak accounts/set up as needed and it's seamless. Any report I want can be run /updated in seconds, it's super easy to copy and paste into other templates (to hard code monthly reports) and I can create balance checks outside of the print area to make sure there weren't changes in the account structure that aren't being included in the reporting. I believe that there was a writeback feature which sounded cool- but we haven't needed it yet. I'm using velixo files weekly and sometimes daily, and really without it our reporting would be so basic and not nearly as meaningful for users. **What do you dislike about Velixo?** Now and then there will be a glitch where a formula doesn't work the way it used to, or the way you expect(I think from upgrades), it can take a little fiddling or research to get it fixed, with that said the online support is outstanding, and any time I've reached out they have had a solution. I don't think it had standard reports when we started (OR it didn't work for us) so every report has to be fully created from scratch, thankfully the training taught us how to do it all though. **What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our boxed system reporting was not sufficient for our business - consolidation was nearly impossible, and any adjustments to reports was impossible. We've run into a few functional issues that have been resolved but took a little longer than I would have hoped. **What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Velixo allows for quick and easy downloads of financial data from our ERP system, and the use of that data to formulate financial reporting and budget templates. This has literally shaved 2 days off of our financial reporting preparation during our close cycle that we traditionally used for manual consolidated reporting builds. So, now my workbook works for the office that is transitioning out, but is broken for the rest of my offices. NX Feels clunky and sometimes I get stuck in a loop where it keeps wanting me to login to Acumatica even though I am already logged in. All users have to do during the implementation is to download Velixo and open up Excel. Velixo offers multiple channels of support for different purposes. To start, it has an excellent Help Center that documents core and advanced processes, frequently asked questions, and sample reports. With a sea of frequently updated guides and ease of user, Velixo truly becomes a product that can be self-serviceable by end users. Velixo trains and certified its implementation partners extensively. This makes implementation consultants a resource to end users, should any complex issues arise. On top of that, Velixo support email and ticketing system is uncompromisingly responsive and solution oriented. Where Velixo shines the brightest is its easiness to use and learn. With intermediate level of Excel efficiency, users can pick up Velixo and start building reports right away. It's a truly powerful product because it allows for complex report building without being difficult to learn and use. Velixo bridges the sophistication of OData 4 data and familiarity of Excel formulas perfectly. A great example of this is when a user needs to build a report across many different modules of their ERP. Traditionally, the user may have to navigate to the different screens, export different sets of data, open separate file exports. Then they can start slicing and dicing, before they can even get started on report building. With Velixo, I find myself building complex reports without even having to open my ERP once. This speaks to users being able to tap into the power of OData 4 by using formulas. After building a Velixo report, it is incredibly reusable. Once the intended formulas are in place, reports can be refreshed over and over with live data from the connecting ERP. On top of Velixo's built in refresh when opening and closing a report, it also has the options of Full and Smart Refresh for on demand use cases. As an implementation consultant, there are two features that stood out to my clients the most. Velixo Writeback and Distribution List. As users analyze data and produce outputs, Velixo has convenient out of the box writeback options for core transactions. For more niche use cases, users can map and build their own Generic Writeback and push data back into their ERP. A great example of how this is used by my client is they can to pull a full price list of their inventory to analyze and make pricing modifications, then push it all back into their inventory data. Distribution list allows users to send out their Velixo reports without having to open their email applications. If your Microsoft Account is logged into your Excel, no prior setup is needed.The distribution list allows users to specify a list of recipients and their email, determine delivery options: Excel, Excel without formulas, PDF, Password Protection, tab selection, and more. Then, sending out reports with varying delivery options is only a button away. All things considered, Velixo is the total package. It keeps up with modern protocols to enable futuristic features. The Excel based platform and syntax empowers to master their reports, even if the last piece of technology they learned was Excel 2003. **What do you dislike about Velixo?** If a Velixo file is connected to an external workbook, users may encounter issues with refreshing and formatting. This isn't ideal if users are looking to integrate data that are not from their ERP. If users encounter a mix of Excel and Velixo related errors, it can be hard to decipher by themselves. This makes self-troubleshooting a little unintuitive. When using a formula, Velixo can do a better job at giving more detailed prompts on what each formula does. Even though the online knowledge base is very extensive, sometimes users prefer to have more elaborate explainations without having to leave Excel. Distribution List and protected sheets/cells do not mix well. Even though it offers password protection for the entire workbook, users have many use cases to protect certain cells or sheets from being changed. Attempting to use Distribution Lists on workbooks with protected cells or sheets will cause the process to error out. **What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am an implementation consultant, so I will speak from my clients' perspectives. A project based client has always struggled with sending project reports and portfolios to their project managers. This is caused by the sheer number of project managers in their organization, and having to build separate reports for each. Velixo has solved this by having a Distribution list, along with the capability of changing specific cells per recipient. My client was able to build a project portfolio with all of its data looking up a cell containing project manager ID. After that, they were able to build a Distribution List with each line of recipients tagged with their project manager ID. With these setup, my client was able to mass-distribute these reports to project managers, with data relevant to their individual selves. This process used to take a team of people hours to build every week. With Velixo, all they can achieve better results more efficiently, by a click of a button every week. Another client has extremely complex subaccount structure requirements for their financial reporting. As their business grew, their reporting needs got more and more complex. This year, they want to start reviewing their financials by specific combinations and wild cards of their subaccount segments. After attempting to improve their existing report in their ERP's native report writer, we concluded building their financial statements in Velixo will only take a quater of time in comparison. Velixo's wildcard functionality paired with Excel native drop-down lists produced far better results with a fraction of time commitment. Velixo's reporting flexibility and ease of use saved us a considerable amount of time, which turned into savings on consulting expenses for our client. A distribution client had very agile and ever changing reporting needs across many different dimensions. These reports can cross from sales volume, item turnover, historic pricing, profitability, and on-time delivery. As these needs come up, he has to request these reports being built by us or his internal team. Though those requests are met for the most part, the lead time of reporting has always been something could be improved upon. This client was able to pick up Velixo and generate these reports referencing data directly from his ERP. Beyond that, making visuals in his ERP took even longer lead times due to missing knowledge of BI tools. Now, he can build visuals based on Velixo data using the familiar charting and graphing tools of Excel. A highlihght brought up by this client is that those charts also change when data refreshes.
