So, basically Vegas Pro is the choice for professional video editing, the main advantages of this software are:

-The number of tools available in order to customize your video, including timeline and effects, text, media and any other thing that a video editor must have

-A large amount of audio and video codecs, including the ability to create a new custom profile for rendering. It is not obvious

-Built-in tutorial for beginners (word key: be patient!)

-It isn't resource-hungry. I used this on an old i3 laptop for years (company laptop) and, even if rendering speed and timeline weren't so fast and sometimes I experienced some lags, after all I had successfully rendered a lot of videos. Of course, this application on modern hardware will perform way better. Nowadays I'm using a laptop with 8c/16t CPU (Ryzen 7 4800U) for personal use, and performance are very lovely, even if I use it for personal reasons, less frequently than before Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-The first thing that I have to say: this software is very very expensive

-I admit that at the beginning I was in difficult, but, as I said, the built-in tutorial is ready to help you. Just be patient, take your time and you can learn a lot of things

-I don't know if it's a issue related to my laptop but sometimes m4a video (maybe for unsupported codecs?) cannot be played on timeline and then rendered

The best thing about Vegas Pro is the legacy basics. With Vegas you can live playback without rendering first. This is foremost the most important feature. Other software requires a pre-render in order to view video or audio. Also, the ability to add audio and video envelops is crucial. These basic tools allow you to rais and lower volumes and video opacity (or whatever plugin you assign to it) and add points along the timeline to make simple changes. I ten to use the PAN and Volume Envelope to duck certain sections or raise sections that need importance as well as assign what audio is sent to which side.

The ability to spilt the track to make a cut is great. You also if you made a mistake can delete the cut portion and drag out from the side you cut the original track. The complete flexibility to make all the edits you need or even additions including the recording into the program make it so versatile.

While this is not a negative, they have buried the legacy tools, so it is a learning curve to reacclimate to the software if you've used any previous version from its previous developer. I do enjoy its simplicity to video edit best. it's very user friendly, all you need to do is drag and drop and you will have your video clip and audio clip there, which you can edit such as slowing it down, adding some translations, or merging two videos together.
