As product utilises S3 Cloud storage, which we can purchase considerably cheaper in blocks than providers can offer, it reduced backup costs by a large margin. This also allowed us much more involvement in set-up of said storage, location for offsite backups, local backup storage targets etc. etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Veeam Data Platform? The Cloud management console proved to be less than accurate, with failures reported for working backups, failing backups not reporting in, missing schedules, agents offline and no warnings, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Much more involved product than the majority we've tried, but this also means the onus is on you as not only the provider, but also the data/storage controller. I dislike the unhelpful account reps, unhelpful technical support reps and the immoral auto renewal system Veeam uses to abdicate responsibiltiy for its payment practices. Recommendations to others considering Veeam Data Platform: Veeam seems the most complete solution, but if you have limited time to learn new software, choose something simpler.
