It is not a major negative, but a wish list item. **Recommendations to others considering PrinterLogic:** Just make sure you have current drivers for all of your printers. I did have to update some of the ones I had. And I had to educate our users on the change. **What problems is PrinterLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?** I found the product at a Dell World conference several years ago. Being able to get rid of the print server was the best day I had. The benefits are it just works. People log in and they have the printers they need. The time it saves and the number of printing issues that I don't deal with are a big positive. ### 8. One would think it would take at least a week of training for a new platform, but it was very seamless. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** I don't dislike anything about the platform. The support was great and allowed us to perform a tremendous feat of migrating off of our Print Servers nationally. **What problems is PrinterLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've eliminated having to setup copiers/printers for end users calling our Help Desk. The benefits have been an automated process where the devices are automatically installed base on the subnet they boot up their device to, eliminating hours of support for end users. ### 9. Printer Logic has simplified this for us and made it so that teachers/staff can move their printers around to their heart's content and we don't have to remap ports or worry about a specific VLAN for them. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** We really haven't had much to complain about. We do find that it doesn't work well with Safari, so we have to coach our users to set up Chrome as a default browser sometimes, but all and all its a great product. **Recommendations to others considering PrinterLogic:** We love this product. We compared it against other similar solutions and found it priced right, but also great customer services and sales experiences. When we talked to them about concerns, they addressed them. When we came to them with ideas, they considered them and even implemented some of them quickly. Easy to implement. Saves costs and easy to manage. We can save money because we do not need to have another server setup for print server purposes. We can just implement this for any of our branches around the world. There are not performance issues or having to worry about any server upgrades or patches in order for users to have access to get printers. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** There is nothing to dislike. Everything seems to work very well. Some issues with browser compatibility. When adding the app to new users sometimes was not the easiest to do. No way to actively deploy to new users. I also realized one disadvantage is this cannot be used for home printers for users. This is not the limitation of the app but it would be good if the user can have this for their home printers. We do not need to hold all of our users hands to install printers for them anymore. Users can now go into the application and search for new or old printers and just add it to their computers themselves. This makes it easy for the user and the IT helpdesk team because it allowed us to lower our ticket count. ### 11. We are currently managing over 500 printers with little to no issues. Adding printers is simple and does not require an engineer to assist. Our Service Desk team can create and manage printers. We can automate the installation of printers based on IP range (site specific). Confidential printers can be secured using Active Directory permission. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** We need an alternative solution to the Google Cloud Printing service which Google is retiring at the end of 2020. We are required to migrate to the PrinterLogic cloud solution in order to use the PrinterLogic cloud printing service. I would prefer to have remained on-prem but it is only compatible with the cloud service. **What problems is PrinterLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?** No more sending print jobs to a centralized print queue and waiting for jobs to print. All printers are built and managed as direct-IP printers. Jobs are send straight from the end-user computer to the printer. Centralized driver management. Centralized printer security. It allows me to add drivers, mange them, and push them out to the users with ease. PrinterLogic really makes managing end-user printing hassle free. It is very easy to deploy new printers or changes across the organization with the built-in Active Directory integration. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** It would be great if PrinterLogic could also track the use of local printers without having to consume a licensed device for them. That would really make it an even better tool to manage the print environment. The ability to track supply levels on the managed printers would be nice as well, but I am told it is coming soon. **Recommendations to others considering PrinterLogic:** Check it out, you will not be disappointed. **What problems is PrinterLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?** No more print server to manage. Some are on a shared setup and some have their own dedicated environment. With this in mind we got the following feedback: *Centralized management we use for all of our customers, one tool to manage our printers/drivers, so also easy for our helpdesk *Getting rid of all the printerservers we had (50+) *Good RDS/TS support, as we have multitenant environments users and customers are not allowed to see eachothers devices. *HA/cluster support, we can create a high available setup and do maintenance without interruption. *Ease of use, the GUI is easy, but it can get some refresh as we are in 2020 *Multi AD support *Deployment of the client package by SCCM/MECM/RMM as this are our client management tools. **What do you dislike about PrinterLogic?** The quality checking could be better. We had some buggy releases with disappearing printers at the endpoints.
