- As advertised, the platform is truly a self-serve, all-inclusive FP&A software that provides all the "tools in the toolbox" a finance professional would need to take on planning, reporting, and advanced FP&A analyses.

- Vareto is incredibly hyper-focused on the customer and their needs. The customer success team is arguably one of Vareto's biggest assets. Customer growth managers' responsiveness and attention to detail have been brilliant from day one and, ultimately, provided a seamless onboarding process and development of the use-case of the Vareto platform at our firm.

Our firm is highly complex from a financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting standpoint. In the beginning, Vareto's systems were a bit clunky and slow and had lots of bugs that made it difficult to use the platform as efficiently as possible due to the delays. Additionally, due to the complexity of forecasting, we cannot onboard our entire corporate forecast into the system, which has trickle-down effects on how much we can leverage the Vareto platform. However, it is essential to note that the Vareto team has been highly responsive to our concerns. The platform latency and general buginess have improved tenfold since we first onboarded and working with the Product teams has cleared a pathway to importing our complex models onto the platform. The company is in early stages so there are occasionally kinks in the system (e.g. slow to load or refresh data) but the support team is super responsive and immediately takes action on anything we flag for them.

1. The UI for Planning is still geared towards the power user vs. the business user. To increase collaboration with business users within Planning, the UI needs to be abstracted to something more akin to their reporting UI, which is great.

The ability to customize this system to our organization's reporting, budgeting, and planning needs is unmatched. Our organization has a number of different departments and programs/projects that require managers to see financial information for only specific departments, programs/projects. Vareto has the ability to customize these reports and limit individual access rights. The planning system also allows for custom integration with our accounting software to pull future deferred revenue amounts on current contracts into budgets for planning and forecasting purposes. The Reporting and Planning interface can be a little tricky to navigate right off, but after doing a walkthrough and playing around with the system, it can be learned quickly. Changes and updates to key metrics, mapping, & head count data in the Data Manager section basically require the help of an experienced Vareto team member to update; it would be nice to do some of these simple changes yourself. Vareto's reporting dashboards are some of the most effective tools for communicating insights to leaders. The dashboarding & reporting capabilities are clean, well-structured & suit our needs for Financial & Operational Reporting.

The Data Manager tool is easy-to-use & helpful for building custom metrics & analyses. The Data Manager feature is unique to Vareto & allows for us to define metrics & KPIs in a way that most tools are not flexible enough to handle.
