The thing which i like most about vanta is it automates the compliance process easily Vanta keeps track of major security controls and collects evidence in the background also i would like to mention the best part of vanta is it makes audit preparation much less time consuming and effcient The interface itself is straight forward and really helpfull in reducing the manual work

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I appreciate how Vanta has made a significant difference in the way we manage security, compliance, and governance by reducing the burden of fragmented and manual processes. It centralizes our data collection and automates scheduling, which uplifts our practices towards SOC 2 Type II. The way Vanta integrates with our ecosystem is incredibly valuable, supporting access reviews, surfacing known vulnerabilities for patching, and keeping evidence updated, doing a lot of the heavy lifting. It has rapidly helped us demonstrate to our board, enterprise clients, partners, and investors that we have the right controls in place to keep their data safe. I find the setup process of Vanta intuitive and logical, making it easy to get people on board and understand what comes next, while continuously offering improvements.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

One area I have noticed that could be improved is the access requests. It seems to work very well for existing users, but probably not the best for when you've got new onboards and you need to set up their access just prior to them starting. Usually, that's someone else in the team (such as a Manager) requesting access to systems on behalf of the new starter. I think having a flow for setting this up for a new starter might make this process easier.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Vanta centralizes data collection, automates scheduling, and eases the burden of managing security compliance and governance. It integrates well with our ecosystem, supporting access reviews and vulnerability patching, while helping us demonstrate to stakeholders that our data controls are effective.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I think the practicality of being able to integrate things simply is a great advantage. Vanta has several integrations with the systems we already use here at Zenvia, which makes it easier to connect my MDM tools, for example. Additionally, it already provides compliance evidence, such as encrypted hard drives and screen lock policies, and also checks if antivirus is installed. The more I integrate, the more I can automate the collection of compliance evidence for the next audit, which greatly optimizes the entire process. The support team is very effective, with service via support@vanta.com in just a few minutes. The use of embedded Artificial Intelligence in the tool is a great differentiator, as it analyzes risk scopes and suggests ISO 27001 controls, as well as analyzes policies and collects controls and documents for compliance with ISO 27001 in an automated way. I notice a significant performance gain with all these Vanta functionalities compared to my old processes.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I don't like the way the policy management module is implemented. Today, it basically functions as a general repository: all policies are in the same place, everyone can view and also edit them, and this is not granular at all.

In my opinion, there should at least be a more structured document management, by area or by type of document. There are documents with different levels of confidentiality, so it would make sense to allow limiting both access and, especially, editing. It would also be important to be able to control editing based on approving groups, with features more akin to document management tools.

I understand that it is a multidisciplinary tool, but for this type of need, I consider the document management model to be very simplistic.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Vanta to centralize compliance and risk management. It saves time by collecting evidence through integrations, improves effectiveness in risk analysis, and replaces other tools, reducing costs and modernizing our system.

We use Vanta mainly for SOC2 compliance and to make sure we have all items listed in a way that we can easily track them, understand what their current status is and also who is responsible for each item. Vanta gives us the visibility and easy handling of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

So far, I can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about Vanta. We’re a startup with fewer than 10 employees, and we really value easy access and a quick, clear summary of our status. Up to this point, Vanta has delivered on both of those needs.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a startup, we had (and still have) a bit of a mess when it comes to documentation, control, and access visibility for something as important as SOC2. Vanta is helping solve the issues I mentioned by keeping everything in one system and giving us the control and visibility we need.

Actually we have been using this software for so long now and it has helped us in so many ways like we don't have to take thousands of screenshots manually it automatically does this and stores in a particular folder so its automated evidence collection feature helps us a lot. its user interface is also good.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I think there is only one downside about this product and that is its pricing like for smaller teams it can feel a bit costly and also startup cannot even purchase it

Vanta has been solving many problems for us like it has massive integrations present because you can integrate it with any software also it provides super fast onboarding and it sends alerts 24/7 because it does monitoring all the time .

I like Vanta's API and integration capabilities the most. They make it easier to connect GRC workflows and automate tasks instead of relying on manual processes. The API facilitates connection with other systems, allowing us to work with GRC data to automate compliance workflows. We also use native integrations with tools like AWS, Jira, and Slack, which enhances our experience.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I find the Vanta reminders could be more customizable. The automated emails are very generic and don't provide enough help for non-technical users. More detailed configuration notifications would make it easier. Automated emails should be more customizable, with different schedules and customized templates to provide more context. Also, the initial setup was a bit tedious since a lot of data had to be moved.

"The most valuable aspect of Vanta is the ability to centralize security monitoring across our entire infrastructure. Instead of manually gathering statistics from dozens of disconnected services, I have a single pane of glass for all our security metrics.
As a manager, I particularly appreciate the task assignment functionality. It allows me to delegate specific tests and remediation tasks to employees within their respective domains. In my experience, the UI is currently Vanta's most significant drawback. The primary issue is the lack of seamless navigation between related data points, which forces constant switching between different modules. For instance, you cannot directly open a linked computer's details from the employee list, which is a major friction point in a manager's workflow. These small but frequent inconveniences and the absence of intuitive cross-linking make it difficult to access information quickly, often leading to a fragmented and less efficient user experience.

Vanta addresses the critical challenge of maintaining a continuous security posture in an increasingly complex digital landscape. The primary problem it solves for us is the fragmentation of security compliance; it serves as a master dashboard that provides real-time visibility into our audit readiness.
This benefits me significantly by automating the oversight of security metrics and internal guidelines. Instead of relying on manual check-ins, the platform proactively monitors our environment, ensuring that no requirement falls through the cracks. For the management team, having a centralized source of truth for audit progress simplifies high-level reporting and allows us to address potential vulnerabilities long before an official audit begins. **What do you like best about Vanta?**

I really like Vanta because it largely automates the work of keeping our systems compliant with major security frameworks. The digital monitoring and tracking aligns with regulatory guidelines, which makes the overall process feel much more manageable. I also appreciate that Vanta provides an actionable roadmap to help us reach our security standards and compiles a clear security checklist to support meeting regulatory requirements. On top of that, the continuous scanning across our software and backend tools removes the stress of manual evaluation and helps reduce the chances of issues being flagged by external assessors.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I keep getting the same alerts over and over about a compliance check that didn’t actually fail, which is very irritating. The initial setup was also tricky and more complicated than it needed to be, particularly around granting permissions for each individual backend software component.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love how Vanta automates compliance with security frameworks, consolidates policy management into a single, unified system, and offers a dedicated portal for auditors. It brings security checklists together and continuously scans our software in the background, which significantly reduces the stress and effort that come with manual evaluations.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

We specifically like how Vanta is able to be a one-stop shop for our SOC2 compliance and the ability to communicate that with customers through the trust center. It also enables us to be the nerve system for auditing, compliance, and speaking with our compliance partners. Furthermore, it also has really good integrations with our system so that we don't have to do all of the gathering of information ourselves. They also have good templates. We also like that the UI and UX of it are really easy to use, as easy for anyone who's even non-technical to understand what the controls are necessary. We also like how easy it is for us to onboard. We were able to do this self-serve without any additional things, and the performance was really fast.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

We dislike how the current monitoring offerings for monitoring controls don't have anything that rich. As a result, we can't use it as an exclusive way of handling MDM. Also, the way to deploy this monitoring is very lightweight, and we wish we could integrate it with something like Apple Business Manager.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ganta is solving the issue of how we communicate with customers regarding our software compliance, and also working with our auditors and our other compliance partners. That enables us to spend less time on compliance and more time for our engineers to do so.

In fact, one of our engineers is doing all of our software compliance, which is something that would typically be done by a CSO. This enables us to spend more time working rather than doing other stuff.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I primarily use Vanta for Assets > Vulnerabilities. I manage updates across multiple repositories, and I keep the Findings by asset page open in a browser tab pretty much all the time. I like that the UI lets me see almost everything I need at once.

If I could add one feature, I’d want the ability to reorganize the columns so I can put SLA Status and Due Date first. Right now I regularly have to scroll the table to the right just to see how much time I have left for each repo.

On performance, I’d appreciate more detail on refresh status. It warns that it might take a couple of hours, but it’s usually much faster (which is great). Still, it would be helpful to have a bit more visibility into where the refresh is at.

For the AWS integration, it would be really helpful if Vanta could pull in the specific area where the offending file is located. For example, when I go into ECR and select a specific finding, there’s an “Affected packages” section with “File paths” on the side. If Vanta surfaced that same data, it would save me a lot of time. Often I’m trying to figure out which dependency is using an offending sub-dependency, or whether the issue is with a default gem in Ruby itself.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Just the scrolling to the right on the table for the vulnerabilities "Findings by asset" page. If I could see the SLA Status and Due Date first, that would be great.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta solves the problem of observing vulnerabilities across multiple dependencies along with knowing how much time I have to fix them, which helps me plan out my priorities.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I appreciate how Vanta helps us get compliant with SOC and ISO and any other compliance needs we have. I like that we get access to people when we have problems, and the platform itself helps us scope out our issues and understand what we need to fix for compliance. Vanta also provides templates and explanations, along with AI features that help us understand controls.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I wish there was a consultancy option for Vanta where we would get even more support in terms of doing the work, rather than just how to get it done or how to get compliant. I feel Vanta should help us more with actually doing the work, providing more support than we currently have, and help us clear and do the work as much as possible supported inside of the organization instead of just listing what needs to be done. Also, I don't feel like Vanta is very project management friendly, especially for tasks and everything. The views and boards just aren't very project friendly, so we use Notion alongside Vanta. The initial setup was a little challenging with a bit of a learning curve because it's not as friendly as we would want it to be, but we eventually got the hang of it.

Vanta helps us get compliant with SOC, ISO, and other standards. It provides templates, explanations, and AI that help us understand controls, scope what needs fixing, and clarify compliance requirements.

I really like how Vanta helps with drafting, especially by bringing specific company information into a template to streamline the process. I appreciate how it's evaluated across controls policy documentation, allowing me to save previous drafts and create new versions. This makes handling compliance information simpler, without starting from scratch, since all my data is already in one place.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

As much as I do know the Vanta agent, it could be improved in the sense that there are times that I will have to repeatedly tell it to remove highlight areas for specific brackets that work as placeholders within templates. I would prompt specifically to be removing this and replace it with information from our company, and it won't be doing it. So if there are times that I have to, or it will actually change it, and there can be some parts of it that aren't fully correct. It takes all these tasks without having to be asked multiple times.

I use Vanta to store all my compliance information in one source, making it easy to access and incorporate expert insights. It streamlines the compliance process by integrating company information into templates and maintains draft versions, saving time on starting from scratch.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

Vanta's continuous monitoring does a lot of the heavy lifting for our ISO 27001 program. The integrations pull evidence automatically, so instead of chasing screenshots before an audit we get a live view of where our controls actually stand. The access and vendor tracking has been especially valuable for us — seeing who has access to what, keeping personnel onboarding and offboarding visible, and having vendor risk in one place has taken real manual effort off our plate. Over time it has become a reliable single source of truth for our compliance posture.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

There is a real learning curve at the start. Getting comfortable with how the platform is structured, understanding what each failing test actually means, and knowing how to action it takes time, so it helps to have someone able to invest in that initial setup phase.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta gives us continuous visibility into our ISO 27001 controls rather than a once-a-year scramble before an audit. Automated evidence collection, together with access and vendor monitoring, means far less manual tracking and fewer surprises at audit time. Practically, it lets us catch control drift early instead of discovering it during review, which makes our whole compliance effort more sustainable and frees the team to focus on the work that actually needs judgement.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta helps us a lot in being SOC 2 compliant. It's also quite helpful as we're working on ISO 27000 certification. Vanta provides a consolidated view of our entire compliance policy, allowing me to monitor anything and everything related to compliance. The timely reminders to update our documents and policies that we might have missed are particularly beneficial. I find the Slack upgrade and the time limit features quite helpful as they give an exact timeline for upgrades.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The search features in Vanta are a bit confusing. Searching for specific policies or compliance issues can be cumbersome, especially if I don't have the links readily available. It's not very user-friendly, and the search functionality doesn't work properly when looking for particular compliance issues or policies. This aspect could be improved a bit.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us be SOC 2 compliant and ISO certified by providing a consolidated view of our compliance policies. It allows me to monitor everything related to compliance and provides timely reminders for document updates.

It gives structure when going for certifications (ie ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR) in complex business environments.
When setup properly, it gives a good view of progress towards framework compliance.
Questionnaire automation looks promising to safe time filling those out.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

The pre-made frameworks have a lot of overlapping similar tests & controls. It would make the process of collecting evidence more streamlined if these were combined better.
The automated tests look promising but in practice the auditors have still been requesting documented evidence that should have been covered by these automated tests.
Features that seem to me should be part of the basic package, such as filtering on a product for automated questionnaire answering, are charged as additional packages.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly organizing evidence to comply with frameworks and attain certifications. Also the risk management tool is useful to build an interactive risk management file and assign owners.

I like that I can do my internal audit in it basically daily. It's always monitoring and it's so easy to know when things are off.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Right now their AI agent takes forever to load anything, remediations, questions, etc. Their AI features are extremely slow that you click out of Vanta and forget about it for an hour.

It automates the process of gathering all the evidence from various systems like AWS, GCP consoles, and others, pulling in everything we need automatically, so we don't have to spend hours digging through disparate systems gathering screenshots or spreadsheets. Having everything brought into one place really helps us to keep track of our compliance status for relevant certifications.

There's a lot of stuff that's not in Vanta yet. A lot more tests could be inventoried both from a document point of view and an automated engineering test point of view, which we still have to do manually. The UI is quite frustrating to work with sometimes, especially when you load up a page with one of the table views - if you're previously applied filter they still exist. This makes it hard to share URLs with colleagues as they don't always work.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

What I like best about Vanta is how much manual effort it takes off our plate when it comes to compliance monitoring. Instead of chasing evidence across different systems, everything is centralised and continuously monitored, which makes audit prep far less stressful. The automated alerts when something drifts out of compliance are especially useful, since they let us fix issues proactively rather than scrambling before an audit. Overall, it's given us much more confidence in our security and compliance posture without adding a heavy administrative burden

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

One thing I find challenging with Vanta is that some of the automated checks can be a bit rigid, occasionally flagging things as non-compliant that don't fully reflect our actual setup, which means extra time spent investigating false positives. The interface, while generally clean, can also feel overwhelming when managing multiple frameworks at once, as it's not always easy to get a quick overview of what needs attention most urgently. Additionally, integration setup with certain tools took longer than expected and required some back-and-forth with support to get fully configured

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta is solving the challenge of continuous compliance monitoring across multiple frameworks, which would otherwise require significant manual effort to track and evidence. It's also streamlining audit preparation by centralising the evidence collection process, so we're not scrambling to pull documentation together each time an audit comes around. The real benefit for us has been reclaiming time that used to go into manual compliance admin and redirecting it toward higher value work, while also having greater visibility and confidence in our overall security posture.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

The strongest thing about Vanta for what you do is continuous control monitoring. Instead of point-in-time evidence collection, the automated tests keep running and flag drift, which is what makes the ISO 27001 and SOC 2 evidence stay current between audits. That's the core value versus a spreadsheet-and-screenshots approach.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Noisy native tests. False positives and tests that flag on trivial drift generate alert fatigue. You already hit this. It's why you replaced the native PR approval test with a custom check (CC-CHG-1).
Rigid native connectors. When a native integration doesn't model your data the way you need, you're forced into custom connector work (your LangSmith sync) or manual document uploads. The abstraction leaks fast for anything non-standard.
Manual evidence lifecycle. Documents expire and need re-upload on a schedule, which is why processes like the CC-MON-6 monthly renewal exist. It's recurring toil the platform pushes onto you rather than automating end to end.
Framework mapping gaps. Newer or less common frameworks (ISO 42001) have thinner native support than SOC 2 / ISO 27001, so you end up doing more manual control-to-clause mapping and custom evidence plumbing.
Cost and lock-in. Pricing scales with frameworks and headcount, and once your evidence and control mappings live in Vanta, migrating out is painful.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like that Vanta gives me a cohesive overview of my status and tasks. I really like the audit tracker where we can communicate with our audit team back and forth. I also like the tests tab where we can see how we're doing and filter it based on different compliances like SOC 2 or HIPAA. I like that everything is combined into one space.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Sometimes when I'm trying to remediate outstanding tests on Vanta, I think there's an annoying workaround with how to actually resolve them. On the page itself, there's a button for deactivate. But, otherwise, I have to click the three dots and go to a different window where I can actually try to address the problem itself. I wish that it could be more cohesive in one space so I wouldn't have to switch back and forth between windows. I also wish there was a different way of assigning tasks to different groups. I found it quite annoying that it was restrictive - when you create a group, they can only follow that specific list of tasks, so if you wanted any of the tasks members to have a slightly different approach, then you had to create a new group. It was just not very intuitive with not being able to have overlapping groups or overlapping tasks where people can be linked to different task groups and have different tasks shared amongst them. I also feel like for the audit, there was a little bit of an annoyance in terms of where the information was stored. Like, you had to go to a separate audit view, and it was a little bit unclear where you should be submitting things as complete or not. There are some definite areas for improvement.

I use Vanta to manage policy access, track onboarding and offboarding, and oversee our computers. It gives me a cohesive overview of my status and tasks, making compliance with standards like SOC 2 easier.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

I like how Vanta easily integrates with all our subprocessors automatically, so we don't have to manually ensure consistency. It supports a lot of different niche sub-providers, which is really convenient. The ease of use and integration, especially with managing compliance frameworks, is probably the best thing. I appreciate how Vanta catches different compliance rules, allowing us to achieve certifications automatically, which saves us from having to manually work through each rule.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

Yeah. Sometimes it tends to overreact to a lot of things or it's not exact, like for example, on the AWS ones. Like, it'll take a lot of time to mark things that are out of scope properly, and sometimes recurring issues pop up, and it's not clear exactly how to subdue some issues that we know have been properly addressed. Vanta's automated system doesn't always know that.

I use Vanta for managing compliance automatically, easing integration with subprocessors without consistency checks. It catches compliance rules automatically, reducing manual effort.

I love Vanta's interface because it's very easy to navigate and understand what needs to be fixed. I also appreciate the AI-powered assistant that helps point out what materials might need additional context, making it a very helpful tool. These features make my job easier by allowing me to quickly identify what I need to do to ensure compliance with SOC2. Additionally, I find it really useful that Vanta integrates with our company platforms like Hubspot, Zoom, and Google Suite to ensure compliance.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I get a TON of emails from Vanta daily about what needs remediation - these are confusing and I don't find them helpful. Summarized emails that clearly indicate what needs to be fixed, specifically, would be more helpful. Generally I wish they were less frequent but more concise, specific, to the point.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vanta helps us stay compliant with SOC2 by quickly identifying issues we might not catch manually, preventing accidental noncompliance. Its interface and AI assistant make it easier to ensure compliance by clearly showing what needs fixing.

**What do you like best about Vanta?**

We use Vanta to manage our SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance programs. It helps us document all of our security controls and manage document versioning and history. Vanta allows us to collect and store all the evidence needed for our annual SOC 2 audits. I appreciate that it helps manage vulnerabilities across our infrastructure components, report on them, and resolve those issues. The platform also assists in managing employee compliance and security training. We've let Vanta integrate with all our third-party tools, such as infrastructure providers, MDM tools, and source code repositories, which I find really useful. Setting it up was fairly easy, especially with the help of a third-party vendor. Over the years, Vanta has been reliable, and issues we faced in earlier versions, like automation with infrastructure providers, have been resolved. The end-user alerts, employee compliance management, document management, and vulnerability monitoring all work well now.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

In earlier versions, Vanta had some bugs and issues with setting up the automation with our infrastructure and other connections. But since then, those problems have been resolved.

I really like using the MCP of Venta because I can just use Claude to search through our documents and see what kind of documentation we have and what is still outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Vanta?**

I thought sometimes it was a bit buggy when I can't see the offboarding button for ex-colleagues, but this has been resolved in the latest attempts.

**What problems is Vanta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Venta is solving our problem of having all the compliance documents and compliance requirements all in one place, which is really beneficial. When we have a new client onboarding or customer onboarding and we need all this information, then we can look into Venta instead of looking into like 20 different platforms or folders.
