It offers a checklist of things that need to be done in an easy-to-understand user interface. This makes going through each item and crossing it off the list a straightforward process. They also provide directions on how to do each step properly which is critical for a small company like mine that doesn't have a lot of infrastructure experience. They are optimized to work best with medium to large sized companies and their automated processes are built with those expectations. For a solopreneur company like mine, the entire process is time-consuming, burdensome and near impossible. They did not offer proper guidance to me about what it would take to get SOC2 compliance for a company my size and I felt misled by their salesperson about the "ease" with which it could be done. Items like "every PR must be approved by someone else" isn't possible in a 1-person company. Things like "you must commit a PR to your code every month" also doesn't apply when the product is mature and feature complete. There are numerous other examples of where a small or solo software company would not be able to meet Vanta's requirements. This should have been disclosed better in my initial discussion with them. All in all it's been a huge headache to try to get certified, I doubt I'll ever be able to reach the endpoint, and I wish I had never signed up with Vanta. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. The UI is good and has actually improved over the course of a year since we started using Vanta. I have had utterly horrible experiences with the sales teams, account reps, and billing. I was locked out of my account for nearly a month when we started our subscription - it took the support team WAY too long to resolve. After I regained access, I was told by my first account rep (I've been through at least 3) that they could adjust our billing cycle to reflect the time I \*actually\* gained access to the account.
