The pricing can be steep for smaller organizations, and the learning curve for new team members is moderate. Customer support response times vary — sometimes fast, sometimes slow during peak hours. Also wish the reporting dashboard had more customizable export options beyond standard formats.

**What do you like best about Valimail?**

I like how Valimail is very easy to use and pretty fast to set up. The graphs they provide for the reports are very informative and give GeoIP-based approximations for both legitimate and impostor mail, which is a nice suggestion of locations of people pretending to be us. The stacked bar graphs are also easy to read and being able to view graphs for specific outgoing mail servers is a very nice feature. Overall, it's much easier to parse compared to the raw data.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

I find that the domain insights tab could present some next steps for Essentials, and I find it annoying when senders get lumped into Unidentified senders.

**What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Valimail solves the issue of difficult-to-read delivery failure reports by handling parsing and statistical analysis, making it easier to adjust mail policy. It's easy to set up, and its informative graphs simplify data interpretation, offering useful GeoIP approximations of mail legitimacy.

Valimail provides automated tools that help with DMARC implementation and ongoing operation, including SPF/DKIM configuration and DNS server updates and management. This removes the need for manual, complex setup and makes day-to-day operation more efficient, even without specialized expertise.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

With so many competitors offering DMARC report outputs, dashboards, and monitoring solutions, choosing the right implementation takes careful consideration and a clear understanding of what you actually need, for example, dmarcian for easier setup and user friendliness, Proofpoint for holistic email infrastruture, MxToolbox for simple reputation check.

**What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DMARC report aggregation and analysis are particularly useful, especially the feature that automatically associates sending IP addresses with services and then displays them by service name.

We also provide automated tools to help with the SPF/DKIM configuration and the DNS server updates and management required for DMARC implementation and ongoing operation.

Once DMARC enforcement is in place, it enables BIMI configuration, which displays your brand logo in inboxes and provides a visual confirmation that emails originate from legitimate sources.

**What do you like best about Valimail?**

As a small nonprofit, I’m on the free tier. I appreciate that it gives us a solid foundation for decision-making at our scale. I was able to set up Google Workspace login, which helps with continuity for future org admins. I also have access to charts that showed enabling enforcement wouldn’t affect our ability to send or receive emails.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

Some of the UX is subpar. For example, the hint descriptions for items on the “domain report card” are written in a way that doesn’t clearly reflect whether the current status is a pass or a fail. That makes it harder to tell whether the text is describing the current situation or explaining what “passing” would look like. A few of the charts are also a bit labyrinthine to get to. That said, this may be because I’m on the free tier rather than a paid tier where those charts are easier to find.

**What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Valimail helps confirm that our email is configured correctly across multiple services that send mail from our domain. It covers DNS configuration such as DKIM, SPF, and DMARC, and provides DMARC reporting so we can see how recipients are treating messages that claim to be from us. It gives some visibility into the imposter emails being routed to junk or blocked outright.

What provides the most value is Valimail Enforce and its Instant SPF feature. Managing our SPF record used to be a constant headache because we were continuously hitting the strict 10-DNS-lookup limit as new tools were added across departments. Instant SPF completely eliminated this manual DNS editing. Now, when marketing or HR adopts a new sender like Mailchimp or Workday, we approve it in two clicks inside Valimail instead of restructuring complex DNS strings.

While Valimail generally simplifies sender authorization, managing complex integrations with platforms like HubSpot can sometimes be tricky. When marketing sets up dedicated subdomains or custom tracking domains within HubSpot, mapping them correctly in Valimail requires manual oversight to ensure full DKIM and SPF alignment.

Prior to Valimail, we struggled with unpredictable email deliverability across our sales and marketing stack (HubSpot, Mailchimp). It gives me piece of mind, knowing that when I send my newsletters out, the emails are safely arriving into my subscribers inbox and not being blocked. The UI/UX is simple and easy to use when checking for email insights. The performance is great, with quick alerts if any problems arise. It integrates perfectly with my email account and google account. The monthly price is cheap for what the service offers.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

The support can be very slow at times. When I needed help with a DMARC problem, it took a while for the support team to resolve it. AI options should be easier to access. I don't see any of that in my account.

DMARC and compliance with Google is so important to my business and VALIMAIL is the best solution for this.

Valimail was rather easy to set up with step-by-step instructions to monitor the email security of our domains. I appreciate the video tutorials that explain DMARC, DKIM, and SPF especially. The dashboard is easy to read and monitor how our email delivery is performing. Email authentication is complicated and time consuming to monitor on your own; Valimail streamlines the process and clearly let's you know if there is an issue.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

While the free monitoring is sufficient for our size organization (small non-profit), be ready for constant offers to upgrade to premium services.

**What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Valimail, we were aware of people spoofing our email, potentially damaging our reputation and blocking delivery of our legitimate emails. With Valimail, our email delivery rate is almost 100% and spoofed or illegitimate emails are being quarantined as they should be.

The initial setup was super smooth. It translated our messy XML aggregate logs into something clean and human-readable. The UI saved us a ton of time getting our SPF and DKIM aligned without blowing past the 10 DNS lookup limit. That limit was a major headache for us before, and ValiMail handled the heavy lifting to help us reach our goal.

Once you get your domains to enforcement and clear out unknown centers, there isn’t much reason to login regularly. Pricing can also feel steep if you’re just looking for passive monitoring after the main on boarding work is done.

For us, enabling DMARC was a step that we were hesitant to take, because you don't want to harm your email deliverability. Valimail helped me taking this step. It's was easy to set up and instantly brings clarity to DMARC violations and misconfigurations. I really like the free tier which already gives plenty of information.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

It's sometimes hard to figure out whether a violation is an attacker trying to spoof email, or a service that we didn't set up correctly. Usually we find this out after some digging, but sometimes it stays unclear.

It was the uncertainty of what will happen if we enable DMARC, and also whether there is misuse of our domain.

**What do you like best about Valimail?**

The onboarding experience was very positive. All of my questions were answered quickly, either during meetings or through email replies.

I was also able to integrate the platform into our environment very easily via SSO and with our domain.

The user interface is self-explanatory and very user-friendly. With just a few simple clicks, you can find what you need, and it’s always easy for new employees to start using the platform because they can navigate it without much guidance.

The website is consistently responsive and fast, and we’ve never had any issues while using it.

The ROI is great as well—we get a lot of value from the platform. The authentication reports and the ease of configuring the email policies are especially worth it. These features are a must-have for businesses today, since many large companies are pushing for these policies to be implemented.

There’s also an intelligent chat box you can use. I find it very useful when I want to locate documents or get quick answers without spending too much time Googling.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

Even though I like the user interface and find it user-friendly, I think it could use an update to look more modern. The placement of the different sections is great, but the platform would benefit from a refresh to make it feel a bit more modern overall.

**What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Valimail has been helping us by providing clear, actionable insights into our email authentication issues. We can find all of these details in the authentication report section, where it quickly shows what’s failing to authenticate, what’s only partially authenticated, and what’s authenticating correctly. Having this information makes it much easier to ensure all the services in our environment are properly authenticated, which in turn gives our clients and vendors more confidence in emails coming from our side.

It’s also very useful when it comes to configuring email authentication protocols like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. The platform gives a strong overall view of these settings through a user-friendly interface, which is a big improvement over the old way of managing them through outdated methods.

Also, the periodical reports are very useful when it comes to keeping an eye of the changes in our environment.

I greatly appreciated the value that the free version of Valimail offers for managing and monitoring DMARC. The integration of TLS Reporting (TLS-RPT) in Valimail Monitor has been a really useful addition: it gives us daily visibility on encrypted deliveries, allows us to quickly identify expired certificates or server-side issues, and maintain compliance with MTA-STS. It is a simple, yet essential tool for protecting the reputation of our domains and preventing man-in-the-middle attacks.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

Being the free version, the main limitations mainly concern advanced features and support. The interface is very clear and suitable for basic monitoring, but more in-depth customization options for reporting and detailed log analysis are lacking. 
Furthermore, AI functions for identifying third-party services or for automatically managing DNS changes are reserved for higher-tier paid plans. Also, onboarding in the free version is largely self-service: the documentation provides good guidance for the first steps, but if complex deliverability issues or specific configurations with some providers arise, direct support remains limited.

It allows us to monitor in real-time who is sending emails on behalf of our domain, immediately identifying phishing attempts, unauthorized sends, or shadow IT situations. I like that Valimail has a clean GUI website with visuals to help parse information and identify issues. It integrates well with Office 365 and offers guided onboarding. The automated sender discovery feature is particularly valuable. The initial setup was easy, which made getting started a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

It seems that Valimail's licensing/subscription model is more geared towards Enterprise and not Higher Education. Also, it seems that even the Monitor (free) solution still hides necessary information in order to strengthen our DMARC behind a paywall. It provides just enough information that we then have to go dig up the DMARC report email itself and use the information inside of the raw email, when that information should be provided in the Monitor solution. Limited reporting customization leaves a desire for deeper analytics and more complete information in order to strengthen our DMARC posture. But the biggest issue is hiding stuff behind a paywall that should be included in the Monitoring solution.

Valimail helps us identify senders using our domain to strengthen our DMARC record. It has a clean GUI and integrates well with Office 365. However, its licensing model suits enterprises, hides useful info behind a paywall, and lacks reporting customization.

Additionally, setting up initial integrations for complex custom domains can take a bit of extra troubleshooting during onboarding. While the tool is powerful, the user interface can sometimes feel a bit complex when searching through deep log details or troubleshooting specific third-party senders. A more streamlined reporting view would be helpful. Initial onboarding requires careful coordination with internal DNS management teams, so it is not a 100% plug-and-play solution right out of the gate. However, once properly configured, it works well.

**What do you like best about Valimail?**

I appreciated the presence of a free offer allowing me to test the solution. I had issues with the deliverability and performance of my emails and was looking for a simple solution to handle and implement, without calling for support, allowing me both to diagnose my problem and solve it, in addition to the investigations I had been able to conduct elsewhere thanks to artificial intelligence. The automatic configuration assistant did not work in my case (complicated integration with my provider?) but I was able to easily use the suggested record and copy-paste it.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

Sometimes, the richness of features can seem a bit complex even if getting started remains accessible. I would have liked the free offer to allow for more things to be done. Furthermore, I would have liked to receive an alert when my DMARC record was modified and I lost data from a few months.

Valimail allows tracking the quality of its mail configuration over time and alerts in case of deviation. Valimail helped me diagnose the deliverability issues I was encountering.

I find Valimail helpful for making the implementation of the records easy and keeping track of major breaks. The sales team was good with the technical recommendation, and the platform is relatively straightforward to use. **What do you like best about Valimail?**

Valimail offers a straightforward dashboard that clearly shows our email DMARC status, while still providing multiple detailed daily reports when we need deeper visibility. It was also very easy to integrate with our existing email infrastructure, and it’s free to use.

**What do you dislike about Valimail?**

Valimail does have some bugs in their panel, which is not serious, but could be annoying sometimes.

Valimail let us know the reason of our email cannot be delivered.
