Frustrating Setup, Poor Support Drove Us Away **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026 **What do you like best about Valimail?** I wasn’t able to even try out value mail to set up process was frustrating. I know for a fact that current users of value Mill have not gone through the same issues even though value male stated it was industry standard. My assistant recommended value male because she has other business contacts that currently use value mail, and they even stated that the issues we were running into were nonexistent for them. **What do you dislike about Valimail?** Setting up Valimail was a major challenge, and there was no solution to the issues we faced. I don't like the customer service, the support, or the explanations provided. It was a horrible experience overall, leading us to switch back to Mailchimp, which didn't give us setup issues. Valimail claimed to be industry standard, but that wasn't the case. Multiple verification processes that kept us going in a loop. Emails not going out. **What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?** We weren't able to set up Valimail; we ran into challenges and didn't find solutions. **Official Response from Al Iverson:** > I am so sorry that you had a challenging experience with the setup and support. I like being able to easily identify where we are having send issues and quickly resolve by updating approved senders and DKIM keys. Customer support is usually very helpful, when I had problems with the initial setup they were quick to assist. It's also great at catching when marketing starts up a new email campain without talking to IT. **What do you dislike about Valimail?** Marketing department should not run dubious campaigns. I wasted my time writing a thorough review so here's a bad one. **What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?** SPF management has been great. It allowed us to gather in more SPF records than supported for a single domain making it easier to manage all of our sources without having to create subdomains. **Official Response from Al Iverson:** > Hi, Michael. It was hard to implement and could not get tech support after signing up through Pax8. **What do you dislike about Valimail?** Reports are extremely confusing. And when domains won't align, their help documents don't match the product. **What problems is Valimail solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are not solving any problems.
