  ### 1. Frustrating Experience with Poor Support

**What do you like best about Valant?**

The calendar is clear but that's where it ends. The calendar hanging on my fridge is is also clear.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

I find the user experience of Valant to be terrible. Patients often have difficulty logging on to the portal, which can be frustrating and hampers the functionality of the service. The video feature only works about two-thirds of the time, posing a significant reliability issue and impacting virtual consultations negatively. I used Facetime frequently as a backup. I also experienced poor customer support. Impossible to get customer service on the phone. Takes at least two days to get resolution after opening a ticket. Furthermore, the management appears to be rigid and indifferent, and, frankly, uncaring. I tried reaching out to senior management before I left but was unable to do so. Zero confidence in the Valant's ability to improve. The technology did was not updated in my seven long years of being their client. On several occasions the whole platform just crashed and we had chaos for the whole day. usually after an update. Not even an apology. Could not even access my calendar. So stressful. Overall, the setup of Valant was initially hard, indicating a steep learning curve and challenging onboarding process. I also found it to be expensive. For every so called innovation they up-billed me. Due to these significant problems, I would not recommend Valant to colleagues or friends or even my worst enemy.

I use Valant for charting and prescribing in my psychiatry practice, documenting patient encounters after sessions and billing.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

Valant bills itself as a strong tool for delivering data and reporting on activities. Unfortunately, most are not useful.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

Valant has literally set our business back by a year. Since we migrated off of it, billing has passed through insurance reliably, where it would be hung up and contested with Valant.

Its reporting library, while extensive, is not clear as to what report to use or their source of data. Two seemingly similar reports will frequently deliver different numbers.

Our practitioners have also considered it difficult to use, which has led to a delay in their entering encounter notes, leading to late billing and lost revenue.

Valant was a 6-month+ integration process and has lost us thousands of dollars in lost revenue, and wasted training effort.

Valant was intended to be an all in one system to manage our therapy business' operations.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

Nothing. This platform is trash. I have nothing good to say about it.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

I was informed that there were functions that were simply not available OR were poorly executed. Telehealth component which was an unexpected add-on  (which I was told this was included) was absolute trash. Patient appointment reminders, which were supposed to be included ARE inlcuded, but only 2 with each reminder incurring a charge. Sales rep was very misleading and now I'm stuck in a 12 month contract that I can't get out of. I was not aware that signing on was a 12 month committment. I've reached out to customer service regarding my concerns and was told that I can not opt out. Worst mistake was believing the sales rep that the platform had capabilities that it did not have.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

This is a great system when it comes to appointment scheduling for a team of providers. Automated appointment reminders can be set up via call/text/email and the record fields are extensive, although not very customizable. They have a great support team too.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

Not many features/fields can be customized, but Valant does try to cover all the bases. You are not able to retrieve the stored data very easily (so if you ever change systems you might have an interesting time getting all your documents out of the system). Also really struggling to set up eLabs on Valant.

**Recommendations to others considering Valant:**

Find out the cost and hidden costs of everything. For example, only the first signature on the eSignature packets sent to patients are free.

**What problems is Valant solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have now managed to merge a number of different systems into one. Valant now does our appointment schedules, our billing and our reporting. It also stores all patients documents, files and notes.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

1. Valant offers as a component of the admission note, various appraisals that are naturally scored! 

2. Adaptable for how you might want to see catches. 

3. Gathering Notes consequently extend from the principal note in the general segment, VERY supportive! 

4. Prepopulated from the last note, so you don't have to return to audit. 

5. Client administration is astounding. Follow up email or telephone questions are immediately replied without steady requirement for development. 

6. Cloud based. 

7. 100% good with Mac, iPad, iPhone and Windows.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

it's a great program, Honestly, I can't think of much I don't like about Valant

**Recommendations to others considering Valant:**

Do not hesitate to acquire this product if you want your company to exponentially improve the service it provides to its customers.


**What problems is Valant solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Business was searching for a totally incorporated framework to give the best treatment to our patients. We were given a few proposals from Software guidance and one of the recommendations was VALANT. We investigated a few programming frameworks and chose Valant. Cases and qualification are finished with the clearinghouse that does all procedures progressively, which will expand income for the business. Patients can sign on to a patient entrance to send messages and messages safely online to the advisor legitimately. Evaluations can be sent to tolerant before arrangement to round out. Planning and updates are sent consequently. You can do notes anyplace not just in an office setting.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

I really enjoyed the  home page which gave helpful pie charts describing which notes and charts were up to date, how many notes you were missing, and how many still needed to be approved by your supervisor. It was clear and concise and provided a good overview. I also enjoyed that you could have your schedule in the application. 

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

Sometimes Valant would not save the note that took a long while to type. It was very frustrating. Also, occasionally clients would not show up on the schedule for a few hours and if you have someone scheduling for you, it was sometimes easily missed and two clients were scheduled in the same space. 

**Recommendations to others considering Valant:**

It is a good system to help you organize your records. Easy to use. Easy to train new staff on. 

**What problems is Valant solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Valant has been helpful in regards to having billing, schedules, and client charts all in one easy location, instead of having to log into multiple platforms for each of these. It is a system that is easy to learn for new staff.

**What do you like best about Valant?**

It's incredibly easy to use.  I can check patients in effortlessly and because of the simple check-out process, submitting CPT codes for billing is easy as pie.  

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

I'm not too fond of the external prescription service.  It's not exactly self-explanatory in regards to the title menu, and I really feel it could use with some aesthetic updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Valant:**

It can be confusing at first, but it's really worth it to learn and stick with.

**What problems is Valant solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were really able to use Valant to manage short and long appointments - it's really nice that we can 'double-book' long appointments for new patients, and still book short 15-minute check-ins at the same time without running into errors.

No down time availability to see patient chart
Marked decrease of expert customer service after we were up and running

Realize during down time you have no patient information

All providers are able to maintain documents and find data and patient story easily
The patient information and story carry over visit to visit
Printing labs mostly good

Constant software/server issues; crashes, technical glitches, browser incompatibility

Make sure they can meet your needs based on size and scale of your agency. They are making improvements to software,however be aware of limitations inbrowser compatibility

I love the organization. Scheduling and opening patient charts is easy and smooth. Applying payments are a breeze as well as looking at charges.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

I wish there was an easy way to set a timer on inactive patients for more than 18months.

The ability to send text messages and call reminders. We benefit greatly from it.

Staff were friendly, but that is about it.

**What do you dislike about Valant?**

Terrible communication. Staff did not communicate and were not upfront about how we would bill with the system.

Due to the realization midway through on-boarding that Valant would be unable to do our billing, we pulled out and we were refunded.

The interface is intuitive and definitely more reliable than other products I've used. Records are organized and accessible.

Haven't found any major downsides yet. Quite pleased

Evaluate cost-benefits. Even though it's costly for a small practice, I hear, it is significant in problem solving ability.

Our company uses ValantMed partially to improve secure methods of communication with pts, which benefits me greatly.

I love how easy it is to organize and get tasks done. I also love that it is easy to search through the DSM and customize each client.

There are a lot of updates but it is brand new so I completely understand

Benefits include things like stayingn on top of work and being more efficient writing progress notes.
