"Cornerstone of my workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

With Vray I have always found it easy to quickly produce a good quality output without spedning excessive amounts of time rendering. I've used Vray daily in my work for over 10 years now. It has always been incredibly easy to integrate into my workflow (I use it as a plugin to 3DS max), it works seamlessly and Chaos are constantly adding new features. What do you dislike about V-Ray?

Can't think of anything in particular that I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best All-Around Renderer"
5/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

What makes V-Ray so valuable to me is the multi-platform availability. I use both 3D Studio MAX and Rhino and having a common renderer between them is so helpful. Both platforms are rich in features and assets. Highly recommend this software. Worth the price!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

The only thing that would truly make V-Ray outstanding is if they could support Unreal Engine 5.X Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"V-Ray is Great at What it Does"
4/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

Our team, in general, has great things to say about V-Ray. It's easy to use, provides good results and is consistent. We use it alongside Vantage every day and have no plans of changing that. It's integrated into our workflow easily and seamlessly. We had no issues implementing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

Honestly, the worst part is subscription management. Any time you want to cancel you have to jump through hoops. Additionally, I wanted to upgrade the subscription but was told by customer support that wasn't possible which is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"As an architecture student, V-Ray gives me the most photorealism renders."
4/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

I love that the transition from sketch-up to V-Ray is seamless, I've found it to be the best rendering software to get real life looking images from my digital models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

Achieving photorealism requires tweaking lots of settings (materials, lights, render parameters), which can be time-consuming and requires a lot of playing around and tutorials to grasp the full capabilities of the program. Outside of the software, I've found it to be quite pricey even as a student trial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Nice but lack of Mac support for V-Ray for Blender"
3.5/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

Somewhat easy and compatible with a lot of software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

No support for mac + v-ray for blender. And the GUI of it would be nice to have more like the standards that are used in mac / adobe etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customisable and easy"
5/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

Vray is a very easy and customizable tool to use, you can get any type of lighting be it fake artificial lighting or real sun paths. Vray has really good assets, their new vine 3d model assets are amazing, it never fails to make my renders look amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

I have issues sometimes with it loading up on my rhino, so sometimes i have to restart my pc for the vray license to start working. But maybe thats an issue with rhino, i don't know. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A very Good rendering software for interior renders"
4/5
What do you like best about V-Ray?

The realism in interior renders specially the lighting that works on actual physics. Further the software is quite easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about V-Ray?

The exterior renders could use some work, Further the time it takes to produce one render is quite a lot. Furthermore, though the software is easy to use to achieve its max potential a lot of thing needs to manually changed in textures and reflections. What i am trying to say is if somebody lacks in depth knowledge of this software they might not be able to use the software with its full capacity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
