**What do you like best about V-Ray?**

The realism in interior renders specially the lighting that works on actual physics. Further the software is quite easy to use.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

The exterior renders could use some work, Further the time it takes to produce one render is quite a lot. Furthermore, though the software is easy to use to achieve its max potential a lot of thing needs to manually changed in textures and reflections. What i am trying to say is if somebody lacks in depth knowledge of this software they might not be able to use the software with its full capacity.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vray is helping me in creating architecture renders for my academic projects and professional projects hence bridging the gap between me as a designer and the final output that the client can see.

**What do you like best about V-Ray?**

I've used SketchUp since it's very beginning, but always thought that StetchUp's images were informative but clunky. V-Ray was a magical revelation.  I now use it on every 3D modeling project nearly every day. Though technically quite sophisticated, I find that V-Ray has an intuitive interface that allows me easy implimentation and impressive results even as I'm on the steeper learning curve of the more complicated aspects of material selection, view positioning and nuanced lighting.  I'm continuing to learn and the resulting renders only got better and better. As a visual addition to the SketchUp tool bar, V-Ray and its sub tasks are seamlessly integrated into my creation process, allowing me continuous feedback, first as low res tests and last as high res renders. When I've had technical issues, I found that Chaos has a very good trouble shooting team who gave me timely and relevant help.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

Computing Requirments: In order to achieve the quality renderings I need and value, V-Ray takes a lot of computing power and time. I replaced my Mac Book Pro with a Mac Studio and that has helped speed up quality renders. Chaos has an online service but I don't want to spend extra costs for something I can generate at home. 
Animation: V-Ray only exports individual frames, which requires another software to compile and edit an animation. I'd like it to more directly exported animations that could then be enhanced with sound and commentary.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a retired architectural designer. I only recently discovered V-Ray as an add on to long used SketchUp. I do personal space design, office planning and pro bono proposals for  improvements around our highrise urban condo building in Vancouver, B.C. V-Ray has allowed me to show design ideas to my clients, community and family in preparation for major changes and upgrades. The photorealistic renders are accessable, understandable and convincing to everyone.

**What do you like best about V-Ray?**

Vray has create results - one of the best in the industry.  The control of the elements in Vray (lighting, materials, views, backgrounds, etc.) make this incredibly flexible and result in high quality imagery once the skillsets have been mastered.  The integration with other software like Enscape and the predefined models from Chaos Cosmos makes very easy to add a level of detail quickly.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

The knowledge based to develop the understanding of scene setup and adjustments for high quality, detailed images is not very intuitive and takes years to master.  Over the past 5+ years, this has gotten better, but is not as simple and straightforward as other renderings platforms.  I would also like to see more variability and flexibility in the types and looks of the image output.  Finding a quick way to add more diagrammatic feel would help.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps my clients understand the spaces that we are working to create and giving a photo-realistic understanding of the ways that we are heading in our design.  This results in reduced rework and creates a level of excitement for my clients once they can "see" the space.

sometimes its not easy to render when it comes to lighting, so i hope in the future the vray will make it easier and more realism and make it closer to real view

**What do you like best about V-Ray?**

The Chaos library has helped me save time searching for assets online. As an ArchViz artist, I appreciate having complete control over materials, cameras, shaders, HDRIs, maps, and camera settings.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

The software can be quite challenging to master, and I believe it would be beneficial to have a real-time renderer built in natively. This would allow clients to see updates to their projects instantly. While the current renderer is quite good, I feel it could be better integrated into the main program to eliminate any lag.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface has evolved in recent years, becoming more intuitive and easier to learn. However, I still feel it lacks a certain simplicity. I really appreciate the native material editors in 3ds Max and Blender, and I miss having something similar when I use V-Ray for SketchUp. I believe that integrating a native real-time renderer into the main software would make it much easier to present projects to clients, as being able to view changes instantly would be very helpful. This would also reduce the need to switch between different applications, allowing me to rely on more stable 3D software like 3ds Max and Blender without sacrificing visual appeal for clients who are not architects.

I really loved the mesh light feature of Vray, I created my 1st project back in 2019 that was a space gas station. And used mesh light all around to lit it up.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

Not much, but sometimes long render times makes me irritated.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quality as compared to other render engines available in market.
Easy access to material library, where in other engines I frequently need to google and download the textures.

**What do you like best about V-Ray?**

The addition of the polygon render region is a much needed addition to the system.  The region masks never worked properly and always left black rings around the selected object that didn't fit with the render.   This speeds up my work quite dramatically and I'd been hoping they would add something like this for years.

**What do you dislike about V-Ray?**

The colour collection and automated settings for selected bitmaps is a bit convoluted and sometimes glitchy and settings get out of wack.

**What problems is V-Ray solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The speed of changes.  The decrease in render times keeps helping me do my job better.    I can see changes instantly, and deliver products faster and more accurate than ever before.

The quality of renders it produces, the ease of rendering with pre-loaded materials.

No downsides as such but sometime it feels that the UI could be improved so as to ease quick rendering as the industry demands short production time and quality output.

Business requires us to generate photorealistic renders that help clients understand their space more, natural lighting effects, addition of custom lights is a great addon to mimic actual lighting condition of the catered space

I like the amount of details that V-Ray offers to produce renders. This allows for higher quality and more realistic images to be produced.

The only downside is the render time and having to purchase cloud credits if you want to run more than one render.

When designing or producing images, it allows me to represent the project in high quality while also being able to study aspects such as light, shadow, etc.

I have used it for architectural rendering in Sketch up. Also it can be ised for rendering your logo designs.
