The lessons are very detailed and allow practice at the end of each session. Like 'Duolingo', the exercises show options to mark and check if the information is correct or not. More than just lessons, the platform has Challenges and Assessments that effectively improve your knowledge. The challenges are reviewed by professionals, and you receive feedback to improve imperfections or receive honest praise. The Skill Graph and Leaderboard are good for people who want to track hard and soft skills and compare them with classmates. The platform offers Career Paths to help designers understand what is needed to achieve all aspects of a UX role, combining lessons, challenges, and assessments for designers who want to enter the workplace. Moreover, but not least, the Arcade and UX Glossary are very interesting resources for people who want to practice and understand some common terms in the UX world. The Arcade is a game space where people can improve their abilities in diverse ways (the Ultimate Eye is my favorite game). I recommend Uxcel to everyone who wants to enter and refine their knowledge in the UX field. **What do you dislike about Uxcel?** I dislike the Job Board. In my opinion, it could have more opportunities for people from other parts of the globe. I think that the platform needs to update the jobs more frequently, and intensive curation could be a good solution. Another thing that could be very interesting is a volunteering space for people who want to put into practice the knowledge gained during their studies on the platform. **What problems is Uxcel solving and how is that benefiting you?** For me, Uxcel solves a big problem: recycling knowledge about the UX field. Normally, you can find a couple of videos, articles, and podcasts teaching about the UX field, but none compile all you need in a single space. I prefer learning by text, so Uxcel fits perfectly for me. As I entered the field a couple of years ago, I felt it was necessary to remember the fundamentals and gain more knowledge about the area, so I gave Uxcel a chance, and I love it! ### 5. I really like that there are courses that one can take that also comes with assessments. One can also take professional UX certifications from UXcel. The site/app covers all the different categories of UX/UI knowledge and helps a UX/UI Designer learn and grow in a well-rounded manner. The site also provides challenges to the community that are then evaluated by other experienced professionals, which then gives the Designer good feedback to act on. I really like the "My Skill Graph" which tracks what areas I am good at, and what I'm not as good at - this provides me with the opportunity to evaluate myself as I go and see what aspects I need to learn more on. UXcel also gamifies the experience by providing points and achievements that one could get from doing lessons, participating in challenges, playing the UX games, and such. There is a leaderboard, which will probably be attractive to those with more competitiveness in them. The subscription to UXcel is also very affordable, and comes up to $25/month or $12/month for a yearly commitment. It isn't difficult to set aside $12 or $25 a month to get access to all the different features. There are also fees created specifically for teams/organizations. If learning and growing aren't enough for you, the site also incorporates a job board that updates with UX related jobs. UXcel is truly a well rounded tool for career development. **What do you dislike about Uxcel?** I'm sometimes not a fan of the leaderboard because I'm not very competitive. The leaderboard only serves to give me anxiety and heightens the imposter syndrome in me. I think it would be useful if there was a way to turn this feature on or off based on whether I want to compete with other designers or not. Due to the fact that there are so many features, courses, and assessments that one can take, it can be overwhelming to decide what to tackle first. I love that uxcel is an easy and fun platform for learning all aspects of a UX career. The platform encourages consistent improvement by making lessons into games, showing progress as well as a tiered leaderboard and a daily streak counter. My personal record was 120 consecutive days of use. In order to keep your progress, you need to complete at least one quizz per day. It is not enough just to read a section to count as progress for that day, which I think it is in reality (but an action such as completing a quizz is much easier to be verified by the system). I would suggest at least counting quizzes that were taken in past as daily progress, since sometimes users might want to review some of the lesson. Another cool thing would be adding "freeze days", where you can freeze your progress for a day or two, for when you know, life happens, and you cannot use the app or take a quizz in that day, without losing all of your progress. **What problems is Uxcel solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think one of the biggest pain for a person that wants to learn new information or want to keep the current updated, is to find complete and well structured information on the subject in the vastity of the internet.
