"Excellent tool for mapping processes, and standardizing knowledge."
4.5/5
What do you like best about USU Software Asset Management?

Version control is probably the most important thing here. So long as it is managed correctly, there is always confidence in saying, "if you search and read it on USU, that is the most current information. Do not reference it in narratives if you can't find it anymore."

You can embed HTML documents with some restrictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about USU Software Asset Management?

The UI is a bit clunky and seems out of date. Cannot embed things like tableau reporting or any HTML with javascript. Formatting of the documents is labor intensive to keep a consistent format. Formatting text, in general, needs alot of help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jillian Bamforth of USU Software Asset Management

"Very insightful tool and excellent support and advise from services"
5/5
What do you like best about USU Software Asset Management?

USU has an excellent toolset. I like that it has different reports and views to gain insights into the data and nothing is a "black box". You can figure out why a product calculated the way it did. It's also very flexible to allow for various data inputs, complex or customized licensing, and analysis on more efficient ways of licensing or adjusting the footprint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about USU Software Asset Management?

It is difficult to use if the staff isn't knowledgeable. Its flexibility is an asset given the nature of licensing, but for those who only want a quick analysis on simplistic licensing it's probably not the best choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jillian Bamforth of USU Software Asset Management

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about USU and our services. We're glad to hear that you find our toolset to be excellent and appreciate the flexibility it offers in managing different data inputs, complex or customized licensing, and analysis on more efficient ways of licensing or adjusting the footprint.

We understand that USU can be difficult to use for staff who may not be knowledgeable about licensing, but we strive to offer comprehensive support and training to ensure that all users can take full advantage of our toolset.

It's great to hear that USU has helped your company gain insights into data and identify areas where data may be lacking or conflicting. We're also pleased to hear that our toolset has helped highlight risks and opportunities for reducing spend through small or large adjustments.

Thank you for choosing USU and our managed services to help solve your company's ITAM needs. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to provide insightful and valuable services.

"SAM at its best!"
5/5
What do you like best about USU Software Asset Management?

The easy to use interface. The precision of demand calculations especially for Windows & SQL Server on server virtualized environments. The governance of how the catalog works helps understand the exact rights per part numbers on the market. The scheduling reports are also a nice feature. The clear path of a raw signature to its normalization to an effective demand is easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about USU Software Asset Management?

I would love to see a UI API feature to configure and set up recurrent data imports from a client user admin point of view. The import feature is nice for one-off massive data load, but setting an API requires a little xml programming knowledge. Maybe there's a way but I haven't really explored how to yet... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Dani Swankoski of USU Software Asset Management

Thanks so much for your wonderful review! Many of our customers realize the value of one repository which normalizes several data sources into a single view of your software estate. Also, good news about your UI API feature request, this is currently in the USU roadmap!
