## Userpilot Reviews
  ### 1. Over a year with Userpilot: A tool that truly simplifies onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago F. | Head of Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

What I value most about Userpilot after using it for over a year is how incredibly easy it is to create professional flows and tooltips without any coding. The learning curve is minimal - within minutes I was already building my first onboarding flows.
The segmentation capabilities are another standout feature I love. I can create highly personalized experiences for different user types without any hassle. The interface is so intuitive that anyone on the team can make changes without depending on the technical team.
But what really sets them apart is their support team. Every time I had a question or needed help, I received quick and personalized responses. These aren't generic bot replies - you can really tell there are real people on the other side who understand your business and want to help you succeed.
The practicality of the tool is remarkable. Everything is where you expect to find it, and the analytics show you exactly what you need to know without overwhelming you with unnecessary data.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

To be honest, I've encountered some minor technical bugs during this time. Nothing that seriously affected my work, but small inconveniences that interrupt the workflow.
The positive side is that the Userpilot team always resolved them super quickly when I reported them. Still, it would be great to see a slightly more polished platform in that regard, especially considering the price point.
Other than that, I really don't have any major complaints. It's a solid tool that delivers what it promises.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Userpilot, our user onboarding was a constant headache. We were losing users during their first sessions because they didn't understand how to get value from our SaaS. Creating onboarding flows required developer time, which meant any small change took forever to implement.
Userpilot solved this beautifully. Now, our product and marketing teams can create and update onboarding experiences independently - no more waiting for dev sprints. The ability to segment users means we're showing the right features to the right people at the right time, which has significantly improved our activation rates.
The real benefit? We've dramatically reduced our time-to-value for new users. Instead of users getting lost or overwhelmed, they're guided through a personalized journey that makes sense for their specific use case. Plus, the tooltips help us introduce new features to existing users without being intrusive.
What used to take weeks of development now takes hours of configuration. That's not just a time saver - it's allowed us to experiment and iterate much faster, leading to better user experiences and ultimately, better retention. Our support tickets about "how to use" questions have dropped significantly too, which lets our team focus on more complex customer needs.

  ### 2. Unparalleled Usage Insights That Act as an Early-Warning System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick S. | Director Customer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Unparalleled insights in platform usage, user activity, and feature adoption.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

None discovered yet. For me and my team, the reports and analytics are most important. With that we are only scratching the surface of UserPilot's functionality.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The analytics are invaluable for our pre-sales and professional services consultants to flag potential adoption issues, churn risks, or upsell opportunities. They can then pro-actively reach out to customers with advice or training. It really acts as an early-warning system.

  ### 3. Paid for itself with user session feature!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brayden . | Product designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

I love the ease of integrating it and to use it for site banners and to have a FAQ tool that is easy to update and use. The customer support is quick and I use it every day.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Setting everything up takes a bit of time to use it but once you get the hang of it, its not too bad.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was new to Userpilot and when I started using it I was amazed at how we were able to use it for temporary banners when we had holiday hours and for short interruptions.

BUT the part that I have used it for daily is to check in on the users using the Sessions feature where you can see how users are interacting with the pages and to see production issues. I was able to catch an issue where the user was making an important change in their account but on the back end it wasnt being updated. Catching that one issue saved the company $$ so Userpilot has paid for iteself already! Getting the Userpilot properties integrated on our website has been easy to implement and quick to update too.

I was having an issue with the sessions view when it was generating icons and I submitted some feedback and they were quick to respond and the issue got taken care of quickly so that was super convenient too!

  ### 4. Powerful, Intuitive, and a Huge Time Saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda J. | Senior Director of Product and Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

We’ve had a fantastic experience with Userpilot. The analytics and research (NPS and surveys) capabilities are top-notch, giving us clear, actionable insights that help us understand user behavior and improve our product experience.

The onboarding features have been a game-changer for us. We’ve saved a significant amount of development time by being able to easily create, update, and remove banners and walkthroughs without engineering support. The resource center is another standout feature—it’s intuitive, customizable, and has helped us scale support for our users in a seamless way.

Our Customer Success Manager is excellent (s/o to Danny) responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to help us get more out of the tool.

Userpilot was a third of the price of Pendo, and we actually prefer the UX and overall experience. Highly recommend it to any product or growth team looking for a flexible, cost-effective solution to drive user engagement and onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

There is a bit of a learning curve at the start, but once you get comfortable with the interface and logic, it becomes really easy to use and incredibly efficient.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to spend a lot of engineering time building and maintaining in-app banners, tooltips, and help content. With Userpilot, we can launch and update these elements quickly through an intuitive interface, which has saved us countless dev hours and made our product much more agile.

It’s also solved our need for real-time user analytics, (we were using GA4 and it was super clunky and really not built for SAAS products) giving us better visibility into how users interact with our product. That insight helps us make smarter decisions and tailor the user journey more effectively.

  ### 5. Some great features, amazing potential, held back by some UX issues.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahriar E. | Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

It has a lot of features that I really like. Being able to create banners, spotlights, flows, etc. There is also ability to create data trends and visualize that which can be quite helpful for analyzing product usage.

Their support is top tier, responds really fast and tries to solve problems asap which I really appreciate! Basel and the rest of the team is also really good to take feedback from users and gives update on their status if they start working on it

There is also really good documentation which is always a plus. I use it every day, and I guess while not a perfect product, it does not frustrate me as much as other products.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Not the easiest product to learn to use unfortunately and there are some usability issues and off-color design/ux choices in the use of the product. Creating segments or using segments isn't always straight forward. Viewing data from surveys can be tricky as well where button clicks aren't considered as an answer.

The lack of API is a huge buzzkill and the team should strongly think about leveraging the power of APIs.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use UserPilot to analyse usage and traffic, and try to make data-driven design decisions. We try to leverage all the data we have and the different kinds of interactions that UserPilot tracks in our work.

  ### 6. User-Friendly All-in-One Platform with Helpful Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylvia R. | Product Marketing Dr, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

User-friendly platform that brings everything together in one place, with approachable and helpful customer service.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

It could go deeper in terms of analytics, and the heatwave feature is missing.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to run onboarding for different types of users, and the combination of in-app guides and emails is an awesome feature for addressing that.

  ### 7. Intuitive, effective, and clean experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

It is very intuitive and has a clean UI, very easy to track the impact of our initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Survey data, when downloaded in a file, look distorted and are unusable.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a very easy way to communicate with users directly, run user surveys, and track the impact and effectiveness of several in-product initiatives.

  ### 8. Easy Product Content & Flows with Userpilot, Real-Time Configuration and API Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh S. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Using with Userpilot we have to easily drow product content, flow, and best content models, banners, real API data and lots other real time configuration when used extension also.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Some time did not find proper product flows and extension.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without used of this we have manage all think manually so Loat of time spending in research, managing, analysis product, content and configuration, but after used Userpilot we easily solve this problem and take an all this just a minutes.

  ### 9. Userpilot Helped Us Reduce Drop-Offs and Boost Activation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

As someone managing customer onboarding and adoption, I’ve tested a handful of tools.. but Userpilot actually feels like it was built with customer success in mind.

The feature I like most is how easy it is to build in-app flows without needing engineering support. I can create tailored walkthroughs, tooltips, and checklists directly in the product and push them live within minutes. This has been a game-changer for us because it means we can respond quickly to user friction points without waiting weeks for dev resources.

Another thing I really appreciate is how segmentation works seamlessly. I can trigger different flows for new users, power users, or even specific personas (like mom-and-pop landlords vs. enterprise property managers). It gives us precision without complexity.

On top of that, the analytics dashboard gives us a clear picture of which flows actually drive engagement, so it’s not just about building tours — it’s about measuring impact.

Overall, Userpilot has helped us reduce drop-offs during onboarding, improve activation rates, and deliver a smoother user experience. If you want a no-code way to guide customers through your platform in a personalized, effective way, I’d highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The only real challenge I’ve had with Userpilot is that the UI can feel a little overwhelming at first, but compared to others in the space, it's been the quickest learning curve.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot helps me understand my customers by providing me with a visualization of how they behave in app.

  ### 10. Great tool for insights and onboarding tours

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

I've only been using the tool for 5 months, so I wasn't involved in the integration and set up, but it's such an easy and powerful tool to use and learn. I learnt how to create onboarding tours for our users, super quick, without needing any coding knowledge, or help from other team members on how to set them up. We also use it for publishing feedback surveys in different areas of our site and also for site analytics and insights, both of which it handles really well. The UI is really simple and easy to understand/use key product features.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Only slight issue I've had recently, is with the platform logging me out frequently, but this seems to have been fixed.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding how customers are using our product and helping us identify pain points and areas for improvement. It's also helping remove friction with onboarding customers through the use of onboarding tutorials/flows.

  ### 11. Intuitive platform for driving adoption and upsell

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot makes it incredibly easy to create in-product campaigns that drive feature adoption, onboarding, and upsell opportunities without requiring heavy development resources. The platform is intuitive and straightforward to navigate, which means I can move quickly from idea to live campaign. I also appreciate the flexibility in targeting and customization, which helps ensure the right message gets to the right users at the right time.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The reporting and analytics, while useful, could be more robust. Sometimes I want deeper insights or more customizable reporting to tie campaign performance more directly to business outcomes. Additionally, there’s a bit of a learning curve when exploring advanced features, though the documentation and support make it manageable.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Userpilot to create in-app experiences that educate users, promote new features, and encourage upgrades. This helps us reduce reliance on email-only communication and ensures users get value at the exact moment they need it. As a result, we’ve seen higher adoption rates for new features, smoother onboarding for new customers, and increased conversion to higher tiers. It ultimately saves time for our team and drives measurable revenue growth.

  ### 12. Cut weeks of work into hours with Userpilot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom B. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot has completely streamlined how we guide and understand our customers. What used to take days of engineering work now takes me a couple of hours with no code. The ability to quickly launch onboarding flows, in-app surveys, and tooltips has saved our team an incredible amount of time. Even more valuable is how Userpilot gives us real visibility into customer journeys — seeing exactly where users succeed or get stuck helps us make better product decisions and drive adoption faster.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The product is powerful, but sometimes the UI has a learning curve when setting up more advanced flows. Nothing that’s been a blocker, but I’ve had to experiment a bit to get things looking exactly how I want.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot has solved two major challenges for us: reducing the time and effort it takes to deliver in-app guidance, and helping us better understand the customer journey. Instead of relying on engineering to hardcode onboarding or tooltips, we can now launch experiences in hours, which keeps us agile and responsive to customer needs. On top of that, the ability to track how users engage with these experiences gives us clear insight into friction points and adoption trends. The result is faster time-to-value for customers, higher feature adoption, and more data-driven product decisions.

  ### 13. Stellar Support & a Platform That Just Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Senior Director Retention Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot makes it incredibly easy to guide users through onboarding, feature adoption, and key product milestones—all without needing to rely heavily on engineering. But what truly sets Userpilot apart is the customer support. The team is knowledgeable, lightning-fast, and genuinely helpful. Huge shoutout to Basel—he consistently goes above and beyond to solve problems quickly and thoroughly. He's a total legend and a big part of why I enjoy working with Userpilot so much.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

There's a bit of a learning curve when you're getting started, especially when building more advanced flows or integrations. But the documentation and support team help flatten that curve quickly.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot helps us solve the challenge of activating and educating users without relying on dev time for every change. It’s enabled our team to quickly test and launch onboarding flows, tooltips, and announcements that directly impact product usage and retention. We’re now able to guide users through complex actions, reduce support tickets, and get insights into what’s working—all from one platform

  ### 14. USERPILOT PRINCIPALS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey K. | VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

USERS CAN CREATE ONBOARDING FLOWS WITHOUT NEEDING TO WRITE CODE, MAKING IT ACCESSIBLE FOR NON-TECHNICAL TEAM MEMBERS.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

TAKES TIME TO LEARN AND FULLY UTILIZE ALL FEATURES EFFECTIVELY.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

USERPILOT IS A ROBOST TOOL FOR ONBOARDING AND USER ENGAGEMENT PURPOSES.

  ### 15. Core engagement feature has potential

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

I use it for tracking user activation, number of users per company, and how they interact with the platform. I also use the engagement tools for system walkthroughs, creating awareness about new features.

We will soon start using the email function. We were very happy when we saw this was available.

Our CSM, Lauren, is very attentive and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

It misses some filters. For example in core feature engagement, I would like to have different time ranges to be able to compare engagment.

Creating new reports or analysis is not simple, it requires a lot of dedication to understand what the filters and metrics do for a new report. I would appreciate a webinar about this topic.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking the users, their activity, how they click (sessions). Core engagement is very intersting for us but it's limited in the time range.

  ### 16. Great all-in-one tool for growing teams that need flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian L. | Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Super easy to get started — setup was quick, and adding custom events was straightforward

Works well across multiple teams — CS, Customer Education, Product, and more

Makes it easy to target users with the right message at the right time

Tracks usage, journeys, and key metrics without needing extra tools

Great support/customer success team!

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

UI needs some upgrades and could have more AI features.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slow or complex onboarding of new tools:
We needed a solution that was quick to implement and easy to customize without engineering bottlenecks.

Fragmented communication with users:
Our CS and Customer Education teams struggled to reach the right users at the right time with relevant messages.

Lack of centralized product insights:
We lacked an easy way to track usage patterns, user journeys, and engagement metrics in one place.

Tool sprawl and overlap:
We didn’t want to maintain multiple tools across teams. We needed one platform flexible enough to support different use cases — from in-app messaging to analytics.

Scalability across functions:
As a growing business, we needed a tool that could support multiple teams without creating silos or steep learning curves.

  ### 17. A great tool for product teams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romain M. | Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot is a highly comprehensive tool, perfectly suited for onboarding new users. We especially appreciate the robust analytics features, which allow us to gain valuable insights into user behavior. A special mention goes to the recently added session recording feature —this has been a game-changer in understanding how users interact with our platform and in identifying bugs that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.

In addition, the customer support team is easily reachable and very helpful. Our dedicated CSM, Lauren, has been a great help to assist us in getting the most out of the tool.

Overall, Userpilot has proven to be an indispensable part of our onboarding and user engagement strategy. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

A bit pricey compared to other onboarding solutions but Userpilot offers more features.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot helps us to onboard new users, get access to valuable data using analytics and surveys, and communicate easily with our user base.

  ### 18. Userpilot: The Perfect Balance of Ease and Power

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakash J. | Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

What I like best about Userpilot is its no-code simplicity combined with powerful personalization. It was easy to implement and integrate with our existing setup, and it lets us build tailored onboarding flows, checklists, and in-app experiences in minutes, while still providing deep analytics to understand user behavior.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The product is excellent overall, but the UI could feel a bit overwhelming at first because of the many options. Once you get familiar with it, though, it becomes much smoother

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot solves the challenge of onboarding and guiding users effectively without developer dependency. It benefits us by accelerating user adoption, improving engagement, and giving actionable insights to optimize the product experience.

  ### 19. Userpilot: A Compass for Both Users and Product Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Micus Z. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

1. Userpilot is efficient in creating client-facing guides on websites without heavy reliance on the development team. Its user-friendly interface allows product teams to easily design and implement onboarding experiences, significantly enhancing user engagement.
2. The ability to track user behavior provides valuable insights that help in making data-driven decisions, ultimately leading to improved product features and greater user satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

1. The learning curve for new users can be steep, particularly for those unfamiliar with similar tools.
2. Locating elements in the screen can be hard, especially when front end code is written not for it. It would be great if suggestion can be provided to enhance the code.
3. Finally, some users may find the pricing model to be on the higher side, especially for smaller teams or startups, potentially limiting access to its full range of features.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complex User Onboarding: It simplifies the onboarding process for users, making it easier for them to understand how to use the product effectively. This reduces confusion and frustration, leading to a smoother user experience.

Lack of User Engagement: By providing interactive guides and tooltips, Userpilot helps enhance user engagement. This ensures that users are more likely to explore and utilize the full range of product features.

Limited Insights into User Behavior: Userpilot offers robust analytics that track user interactions. This helps product teams gain valuable insights into user behavior, enabling them to make data-driven decisions to improve the product.

Resource Constraints for Development Teams: It allows product teams to create user guidance without heavy reliance on developers, saving time and resources. This empowers teams to quickly iterate on user experiences based on feedback and analytics.

  ### 20. Easy to create effective Step by Step guides!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas L. | Senoir CX Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

The ease of use. The extension for Chrome works well and when you create flows they autosave. You have also the possibility to create checklists that you can modify to your own brand and style so it doesn't clash with the platform you use it in. Their customer support is easy to reach and has fast and accurate answers.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Nothing in particular with the platform but would be good to get more feedback through AI what possible actions could be to up the usage of a flow or checklist. Get some feedback and learn from others.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To shorten our Time to Value. We have many features in the platform and we wan to show our users the right features at the right time so get more value out of the platform. Make sure they move from our free subscription to our paid subscriptions.

  ### 21. Super support and packed with features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian S. | Customer Experience Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

What stands out for UserPilot is the people at UserPilot. Whether it’s CSM or support, they always take time for you. I have contacted them multiple times, and they always take the time to help. The system itself is easy to work with, and during our time with them (almost 2 years), they have launched many new features.

We have been working a lot with analytics, and UserPilot shines where we can use the Analytics features in tandem with our telemetry.

I use it daily, basically both for creating new/reviewing content, but also for dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Because they release new features, there are bugs and improvements that need to be ironed out. Also, despite many features, some features should be more optimized.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us we use UserPilot mainly for Onboarding and product adoption to get more retention and transformation from novice to power user

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

We transitioned to Userpilot from a competitor and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. We were able to retain all of our required functionality and get access to a team that is willing to hear out and act upon feedback. The ease of the flows builder and ability to tag NPS comments are highlights for me.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The mobile SDK being behind a paywall is a bit frustrating, but understandable. I also believe that their custom reports could be more flexible. I oftentimes feel that I can't slice and dice data exactly as I would like to.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot provides insights into our users' behaviors and allows us a unique channel to engage with those users for feedback and assumption testing. We frequently push out 1-2 question surveys to our users as a means of streamlining our feedback loops and discovery processes.

  ### 24. An intuitive and powerful tool to guide users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot is very user-friendly — the interface is clean and easy to use, even without technical expertise. I really like the wide range of options available to build interactive flows and guide users. The analytics features, such as tracking user clicks and behavior, are also extremely valuable to understand adoption and optimize the experience.
The support team is excellent — we always feel well-guided and accompanied. They are responsive, helpful, and make sure we get the most out of the platform, which really adds value.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The multilingual management could be improved. Managing multiple languages can be a bit tricky, and the automatic translation could be more accurate.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot helps us guide users during onboarding and new releases with easy-to-build flows. The Resource Center centralizes key shortcuts to support and documentation, while the News section keeps users informed and engaged.

  ### 25. Ease of use and top customer service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura L. | Customer Education Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

The ease of use and all the different products they offer to lay over our platform. From banners, to guides, surveys, NPS, the Resource Center, and all the options to tailor it to specific segments of clients. Implementation was done quickly and seamlessly. The training provided was also excellent, as was the Support from our CSM.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

some bits of the interface are not as intuitive to use, like where to edit the colours of boxes within flows. We haven't been able to harness some of the data without extra coding on our end.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, as the Customer Education Manager, is about Onboarding and Adoption. I want our clients to learn how to use the platform, to be aware of new features, to point them in the right direction of the tools they're more likely to use/need.

  ### 26. Solid onboarding tool

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

It is expensive especially for the starter package which has considerably few or inssuficient features for the price.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can track our product's usage and run surveys that help us to better understand how we can improve our value proposition and act on feedback.

  ### 29. Intuitive Journeys, High Cost

Making our customer user experience significantly better, and helping us personalized the experience at-scale.

  ### 32. Great Starting Tool to Gather Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot is an excellent platform for creating in-app experiences and collecting user insights. We originally chose to use Userpilot because our company had an onboarding issue and Userpilot had an easy and intuitive interface that made it easy to design and implement flows. We eventually transitioned to using the tool to collect data on our users, which helped us track user engagement and behaviors. Userpilot also frequently pushes new features and improvements that allow us to allocate resources to other areas in the product. On top of that, the account managers and support team are incredibly responsive and helpful, always willing to troubleshoot quickly and get on a call if further assistance is required.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Occasionally, building onboarding flows don't work as expected. The preview shows an effective flow, but in reality, our clients experience instances where the flow breaks, and we are unable to override and mark the flow as completed.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot is solving our challenges with onboarding new users and understanding their engagement. Previously, we struggled to easily onboard users, track their actions, measure how long they stayed engaged, or monitor how often they logged in. Segmenting users to personalize experiences was also a significant hurdle. Userpilot does this effectively and allows the product team to create these experiences and measurables, allowing us to allocate dev resources to other focuses.

  ### 33. Effortless Onboarding with Userpilot

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha L. | Marketing

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

I appreciate Userpilot's straightforward setup process, facilitated by supportive onboarding assistance from the team. The tool effectively helps onboard trial users quickly, transforming them into paying customers. I value the the software’s ease of use, additionally, features like walkthroughs and notifications for beacons are instrumental in helping users engage with our platform efficiently. The ability to monitor user activity and engagement enhances our understanding of client interaction with the platform.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

I find it difficult to hide the resource center from appearing to specific user segments.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Userpilot for user onboarding and to walk users through new features, which simplifies client familiarization with our software, transforming trial users into paying customers.

  ### 37. Intuitive UI with Seamless Setup

  ### 38. Userpilot review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny v. | Marketing Automation Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot helps us to implement and highlight specific platform features for specific user segments. This allows us to highlight features and create onboarding flows that are only applicable for specific groups.

We've been using the native integration with HubSpot which makes it easier for us to track Userpilot events and interactions within our CRM. Direct communication based on HubSpot CRM data makes tailored and specific flows a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

The learning curve of using Userpilot is a quite steep if you want to use specific features on your website. I've had to refer a lot to our html code to be able to implement flows triggered based on button clicks or elements shown on a specific page.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot helps us with feature adaptation for specific user groups on our platform.

  ### 39. Experience with UserPilot from a UX researcher's point of view who works in a B2B company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea T. | UX Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Easy to discover all functions and easy to use. We wanted to get a demo aout the dashboard and other functionalities and we were satisfied with it.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

I really miss the opportunity to create survey which consistantly stays on our demo site and not riggered by an event so the users can give us feedback anytime and they want. We use this right now with the help of Hotjar, but it costs us a lot to pay for 2 tools.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Session replay is really cool, it is important to conenct quentitative data with qualitative data to have a full picture of an user need or problem. Easy to create onboarding flow and survey, and of cource product analytics are also useful to us.

  ### 40. Brilliant for instant communication with users for marketing & product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan H. | Events & Community Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

I love that we have an instant line of communication open with our customers, it's super easy to segment audiences and filter out who we need to be contacting at that moment. I love it for promoting events to our customers and sharing other crucial updates and marketing material.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Nothing at the moment, potentially some more detail around user adoption and features.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enabling us to communicate to all of our customers where they are natively living - in our product. without sending another email or calling. It's especially helpful if we have urgent comms that need to go out en masse.

  ### 41. Easy, On-the-spot Product Education for Users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Our platform is quite complex, so it's a huge win that Userpilot lets non-developers like me build training flows and in-app notifications without needing engineering help. Creating a flow is straightforward, but what really stands out is how easy it is to target users based on contact or company data—we had those fields ready, so setup was seamless.

Setting up goals and tracking metrics has also been simple but powerful. These insights help us better understand user behavior and translate that into actionable improvements for our product.

We’ve been using Userpilot for almost two years now, and it’s been impressive to see how much the tool has evolved. It’s clear that Userpilot is a product that grows with its users—just like our own platform.

What’s even more impressive is how rarely we’ve had to reach out to support. As a SaaS provider ourselves, we know how often things can break—but with Userpilot, the experience has been smooth. The documentation has been incredibly helpful, not just for us on the content side, but also for our dev team when integrating it into our system.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Personally, the limitation that the builder only works for chrome is a downside, since I mainly use firefox for most things.
Aside from that, when I started, our implementation partner helped a lot in understanding the potential of userpilot, but having no templates or samples to start with really did slow us down at the start.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client Onboarding and Product Education, Features and App Feedback, Usage Tracking

  ### 42. Clear Data Visualization and Effortless Configuration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Clear way to show data. Easily configurable.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Learning curve to create paths, funnels.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understand the real usage of the app. Anticipate user's isssues to maintin engagement

  ### 43. We started 3years ago for helping our users getting on-boarded and now we do much more.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philippe B. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Simple UI, straightforward use. Our dedicated CSM is very appreciated by the team.

UserPilot cover most of our needs as user interaction and is a nice additional touch that hightlight our product strenght.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

A little bit pricier than orther alternatives.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We bring tailor-made user documentation for our biggest client directly in-app.
We propose appropriate guidance to new users and admins.
Have access to insightful product analytics.

  ### 44. Feature rich and well supported digital adoption and analytics tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan T. | Digital Adoption Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot allows us to quickly create and publish digital adoption flows to support new features or onboard new users, while increasing adoption and confidence around existing functionality.

- Support is excellent, with prompt resolution of any issues and features requests taken seriously.

- Simple to segment flows for different user types or companies, as required.

- Strong analytics within Userpilot to track flow completion and feature adoption. The addition of surveys, reports, dashboards and session replay is incredibly valuable to maintain a clear view of user interaction and sentiment.

- A/B testing to confirm the suitability and success of specific content in driving user behavior.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

- Flow and resource center management can get a little overwhelming. The ability to add and search by tags would be welcome!

- Lacks some of the more advanced flow logic that other tools provide (i.e. start at a certain point if ... or forking flows depending on a user's choice/actions at a certain point).

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot allows us to increase user awareness and confidence around added and existing functionality. It also allows us to contextually surface other useful content (i.e. documentation or videos) at the right time for our users.

We have recently used Userpilot to successfully deploy customer onboarding for two of our products, with the aim of familiarizing our users with those products before they receive further training.

We are currently trialing session replay, and so far it looks like a very strong tool for understanding user behavior and investigating any issues that users encounter.

  ### 45. Perfect In-App Communication Channel to Drive Adoption & Growth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Userpilot has quickly become a foundational part of how we drive product adoption and collect feedback through our platform. Its no-code builder is fantastic and makes it incredibly easy for us to create highly-targeted in-app messages that look native to our UI and trigger based on user interaction/behavior.

Perhaps my favorite aspect are the different formats available. Whether we need to publish a longer-format message via modal windows or bring quick awareness via banners—Userpilot allows us to tackle any use case. The ability to segment and target has been a huge time-saver enabling us to create one flow, but disperse it across our 10+ unique product UIs. We're very happy with Userpilot!

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

In full transparency, at this point in time, there's not much to dislike. It allows us to communicate with our customers in-app—and that's all we need it to do! Next, we'll likely dive deeper into the data/analytics side further ingraining it into our workflows.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most recently, we've used it to launch new features, drive usage, and segment flows by product/persona. The best part? No engineering lift.

  ### 46. Powerful Product Analytics and User Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

-Powerful analytics
-Ability to really help user journeys
-Great customer onboarding

We recently implemented Userpilot and are already seeing great gains with the powerful analytics we are capturing from our users. This will be key to us being able to tailor our products to meet their needs, as well as address usability issues that might come out in how they navigate and use the interface. It’s always a work in progress! Effective user journeys are critical to keeping happy customers.

We’re also excited to start implementing onboarding flows with Userpilot, to really take things to the next level by helping our users be successful with our products from the moment they log in to when they achieve all their objectives.

All in all, I’m very excited at where we’ll be taking Userpilot, and how it will help our customers have excellent experiences.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Takes some engineering work to properly integrate with our products, but that's to be expected!

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us to better understand how our users use our products.

  ### 47. Amazing Potential, Great UX & On-boarding tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram G. | Senior Associate Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

-Robust for inapp communication
-we were able to decentralize our content creation process so team could create & send their own communication to the clients
-support was really great throughout the onboarding process

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

As of now there is nothing, but once I explore it more I'll add it up.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot has facilitated our product team’s ability to rapidly introduce new features and deploy promotional banners without disrupting the workflow of our developers. The application includes integrated tools for embedding surveys and collecting Net Promoter Score (NPS) data, which are vital for obtaining user feedback directly within the platform. Furthermore, the support team is outstanding, readily available to swiftly resolve any issues that may arise.
Additionally, the segmentation functionality is particularly remarkable, as it allows for the provision of customized experiences and communications to various user groups. This feature has significantly contributed to the enhancement of user engagement and overall satisfaction.

  ### 48. A complete, robust, quality in-app message tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David V. | Revenue Operations Analayst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

UserPilot provides the whole range of in-app messages and customizability you could ask for. Its quite seamless to implement. I am able to deploy very customizable modals using CSS. A very practical range of layouts for banners. My favorite thing is that you can utilize javascript. I built an automation that moved a fake cursor to demonstrate where to click on items. Its also a great tool for surveys, NPS ratings. Their customer service seems to be on top of things and I've only had positive experiences between the proactiveness of our CSM to the due consideration often given by their support team. We use it for all in-app messaging. They have the basics of data integration such as event webhooks and apis.

Their building UI uses a chromium extension which is actually something I really like. It is very practical and I've had no issues building with it.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

Not the most ideal when it comes to integrations. They have some of the basics, but they do not seem to have a snowflake/segment integration. Some of the audience/cohort selection tools are not as ideal. I have been accustomed to Intercom's tagging and audience segmentation tools that I would prefer to see used here. More robust event filtering, user tagging, and bulk audience tagging are features I wish they had.

Another wish would be for more robust flow trigger configurations. They have some great practical throttles, but I feel like they could go farther to give you more control on when or how modals deploy.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UserPilot allows us to seamlessly deploy in-app messages for digial adoption with no code and therefore very low risk of bugs deploying in-app messages. From onboarding, to nudges, banners and surveys, UserPilot is a complete product with nothing missing in this regard.

  ### 49. A great tool to centralise product engagement efforts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maddy B. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

Easy and intuitive to use, gives us all the options we need to engage users at multiple levels in our platform. Engagement comms functions look gret and appear seamlessly in out platform.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

None that I know of yet, it's been a great experience

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enaging our users with comms, highlighting and showcasing new product features and guiding user behaviour so our users get the most our of our platform

  ### 50. Amazing product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marisha M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Userpilot?**

The product is incredibly versatile. It includes all of the features I was looking for to improve my user onboarding experience (e.g., a resource center, checklists, flows, NPS, high level analytics/insights). It was very easy to set up, and the support team is phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about Userpilot?**

It is a little overwhelming at first, but I think that is the nature of this type of software. I tried several other tools, and this was by far the easiest and most stress-free onboarding experience I've had.

**What problems is Userpilot solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Userpilot makes it easy to implement a "self-serve" support model--setting our customers up for success when onboarding while also decreasing the volume of support tickets.
