## About Userflow
Userflow is a Product Adoption Engine built for customer-obsessed SaaS teams running self-serve products. Many teams rely on engineering to ship in-app onboarding, announcements, and user education, slowing iteration and limiting visibility into what drives activation. Userflow removes those bottlenecks with a flexible, AI-powered platform for in-app onboarding and in-app guidance that helps turn users into champions. Build product tours, onboarding checklists, surveys, feature announcements, and a customizable resource center without code. Personalize experiences by behavior or segment to drive product adoption and feature adoption across the entire lifecycle. Userflow goes beyond surface-level guidance. Real-time product signals power segmentation, targeting, and continuous optimization. With built-in analytics and product analytics integrations— including Amplitude, Mixpanel, and cohort sync via Segment— teams can stream events, sync cohorts, and measure impact without stitching together multiple tools. The AI Assistant integrates with help center search (including Intercom and knowledge bases) to provide contextual, in-app answers while reducing support volume. Userflow installs as a lightweight layer on top of your app and supports modern data workflows with event streaming, two-way integrations, and CRM sync, helping teams close the loop between insight and action. Whether you’re improving trial-to-paid conversion, scaling onboarding across personas, or optimizing feature adoption in a complex product, Userflow helps teams move from guesswork to guided, measurable growth. ## Userflow Reviews
  ### 1. User friendly for administrators and end-users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

The support we have received from Userflow

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

The change in pricing model is restrictive

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

Please give Userflow a try, if you're struggling to on board new users or have an ageing site that is no longer intuitive these tools can offer you a stop-gap while you develop a better solution. Most users love on-screen guidance, and those that need it can simply dismiss it.

The support guys are exceptional, really quick to respond and always willing to screen share if required.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our on boarding process for new users has historically required a site visit and training day with one of the account managers. While this still goes on, we now offer on-screen instructions to new users to allow them to train themselves and at least learn the basics.

Userflow also enables us to cheaply launch and advertise new features and functionality to the site, it helps us release those changes iteratively rather than feeling forced to create a bulk of functionality and release together due to the high costs of a marketing campaign.

  ### 2. A super valuable addition in our product toolkit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesper K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

The fact that you can customize endlessly to your exact needs is fantastic. This is not a product for just making cookie-cutter flows.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

It's a little steep learning curve, and the UI/UX could be easier to figure out. But I'm sure with time this will get redesigned a million times and end up super easy. The core functionality is there.

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

The Userflow team is super helpful and is eager to help out. The main challenge with UF is basically getting it configured. But they are working hard to make things easier and often ship improvements hours after we've requested something.

If you are looking for something that feels like "you've built it yourself" or "intercom product tours in steroids" then UF is probably a good bet for you.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost all other "onboarding" tools are essentially just glorified modals that you can get to pop-up various places inside your web app. Userflow reads your web app down to the last HTML tag and can position and listen to what is happening in the UI. This has proved to be absolutely necessary for providing our users with assistance in some of the more complex areas of our web app. Before we could only should a welcome modal on "how to use our workflow builder" or a generic video. Now we have a step by step assistance deep inside nested dropdowns and selectors. Fascinating!

  ### 3. Great tool, excellent customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugene B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

Very easy to use, great price, and excellent customer service. In the few instances I've had questions they've responded back within just a few minutes and have gone above and beyond - even sending me a personal video walkthrough for a more complex implementation that I was creating.

Probably the next best thing I'd call out is that implementing this via JavaScript allows non-developers to update and augment any of our flows at any time. To be able to quickly do this on the fly has been a superb value.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

They are in the process (from what I've seen) of adding a few features that would be awesome to use. It's still a extremely feature rich application, but a few of these features would have been useful.

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

Do it!

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is the quick and easy ability to provide a walkthrough for our users. The second, is not having to spend dev hours on implementing this ourselves let alone making tweaks.

  ### 4. Great solution with enterprise functionality at a reasonable price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard S. | Chief Product Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

User Flows is a comprehensive solution that includes advanced functionality without over-complicating the user interface. Its simple, the brand customisation process is super quick and its own guided boarding process is a great example of how to best utilise the platform.

Implementing User Flows into your software is easy and flexible with the ability to create your own user and group attributes. Groups are a super flexible function which can be utilised for Account-based aggregated user experiences or onboarding, a feature that is not available in many other solutions other than AppCues (which is prohibitively expensive).

We tried both Chameleon and User Pilot before User Flows and User Flows was the only one to deliver on functionality promises. The User Flow team is agile and super responsive to ideas about how to improve the platform, several of which they've already implemented.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

Our platform is an enterprise solution with a large amount of configuration required to implement it - too much for a single checklist. User Flows does not currently provide any way to link checklists together which creates a few issues for us currently. We've discussed this with the team at User Flows and we are confident that they will deliver some improvements soon to address this challenge.

The only other issue is that the list of checklists/flows can get a bit unruly. User Flows shows all records in all environments in a single list and has a status indicator as to whether it's published in the environment. This results in a very long list in complex platforms and needs a hierarchy or folder-based view added to simplify.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To onboard new accounts to our platform, stepping them through the account set up process. This has reduced the level of time our CSM team has to spend hand-holding accounts through repetitive training processes.

To onboard new users to an existing account and to provide in-app guides for existing users to reduce support tickets, enhance user knowledge and reduce churn.

  ### 5. Userflow is the ONLY tool to rapidly build onboarding guides for your SaaS product. Period.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miko G. | Founder & CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

The flow builder allows you to create with so much ease, but doesn't shy away from complex and nuanced options if you need to go deeper.

The tool supports you when you need simplicity and rapid development, but it also supports you when you need intricacy and fine control.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

The downside is that you'll start onboarding more users than you can handle ;)

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

Check them out and reach out to their team on Intercom when you have questions. They are incredibly helpful, and will be there to help you understand what you need to understand to make a good purchase decision.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating onboarding flows, and then iterating them over time, is a huge strain on engineering bandwidth. Userflow takes care of that, and allows you to rapidly push out onboarding content, and then rapidly iterating that content to keep in step with what your users need.

  ### 6. Saves us time and money

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristian Kragholm L. | Junior Customer Success Representative , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

Userflow helps us save time and money by automating our product walktroughs. Also the support is effective and helpfull, and listens to your proposals for new functions or ways to make the present ones even better.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

No direct downsides. But in the future I would like to be able to view video guides of Getuserflow, which would inspire both me and the new colleagues I have to teach how to use the product.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are that we save time and money on product walktroughs, and that we can monitor our customers behaviour on our sites. We have also learned alot about our own product and gotten valuable insights into developing new ways to design the product with the purpose of making it easier for customers to navigate.

  ### 7. Easy to integrate, powerful functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

Ease of creating userflows and the analytics

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

There are several products in the workspace and we looked at each one. As a non-profit, our resources are tight. While Userflow had the most competitive pricing and offered a generous non-profit discount, the monthly cost is still a little higher than we can afford.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a few UI challenges related to Personal Accounts and Enterprise Accounts and the users needed to know to switch. We were able to use it to create the funnel. We have used it to enhance a few UI gaps, which has been great. Also, we now had a dashboard on user engagement, which was unexpected.

  ### 8. A joy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arpit C. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

The flow builder that makes it so easy to create complex guides and walkthroughs. I have experience using the more popular tools in this space and their builder is no match for what Userflow offers.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

Nothing in particular. For an early-stage product, Userflow offers more than what one needs when they are getting started with in-app experiences.

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

Just go for it!

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create guides and walkthroughs that take new users through the process of building an integration on Integromat. We have seen decent completion rates for our guides, especially considering some of them have many steps and take several minutes to complete.

  ### 9. The perfect product introduction tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian L. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

I really like how easy it is to let your users get a general or deeper feeling about what your product is about in a few simple steps. It is very easy to segment your users and to create content that applies to them specifically.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

The learning curve to create flows is a bit slow but nothing you won't be able to handle.

**Recommendations to others considering Userflow:**

Have a very clear idea of what type of users you want to create flows for. It will make the process of creating flows easier and the user experience much better.

**What problems is Userflow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some users just get it, some other users need a bit more hand holding; for those that need a more detailed description, Userflow is just perfect! We have also realised that the support tickets regarding features that we created Userflows for have decreased.

  ### 10. Userflow – Amazing Onboarding Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

What's there not to like with Userflow? Our company tested 8 of the most popular onboarding tools out there and we picked Userflow. It's stand-out features include checklists, A/B testing, ability to personalise, great analytics tracker, multi-page support for flows, UI customisation, security and integration support.

The best thing about Userflow is that the company has an amazing support team. We're really happy we went with them!

Can not think of anything at this point in time

The ability to guide users to their first a-ha moment faster.

  ### 11. Quick and simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Userflow?**

Very simple to create and edit flows. Support is amazing. Great turn around on feature requests and bug reports. Has everything you need without all the extra bells and whistles that get in the way. Actually affordable as opposed to some competitors.

**What do you dislike about Userflow?**

Nothing really, can't find a fault......

Developer onboarding and adoption
