## User Interviews Reviews
  ### 1. Best panel option for research studies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

They always find the people you are looking for, and it has plenty of filters you can use to target the right audience.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

The survey builder lacks options such as piping, randomization, etc. However, it offers the most widely used question types.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggle to the find people with very specific criteria. In those cases, we always look for UI.

  ### 2. Fun experience and easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

I love the UI, it's easy and straightforward. I love taking surveys as a participant. As a UX designer, I also have used it as a tool which is equally helpful and I get great insights from it.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

Selection of high quality participants is sometimes lacking.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps cut time with recruiting interviewees. It also makes setting up meetings easy and I love the screener question experience.

  ### 3. Not a delightful experience

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

Not a great deal to add to this section sorry

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

I can see from demos that it can be a useful tool once set up. But without the ground work, it's not easy and intuituve. The UX and UI aren't delightful. It's bland and clunky. I am also based in Australia, and was often offered times for support in the middle of the night (US times).

The cost for recruitment is also quite high.

It was very hard to get the team excited about this product.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We tried to use it for user research. We are a complex company where building our own list of users would have needed a salesforce integration. I understand that is on the roadmap.

  ### 4. It was a great experience as User Interviews helped me recruit all the participants.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher W. | Credit and Collections Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

The ease of use and ease of implementation.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

I liked everything especially integration.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recruiting and identifying the best participants.

  ### 5. A company with a passion for quality participant recruitment.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Collin P. | Director, UX Research, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

The no-limit on questions for the participant screener screener, along with viewing screener key questions, an enormous bank of job titles in the professional recruitment function essentially make recruiting participants easy, and simple. Not only for UXR, but designers and Product Managers in my company.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

There really is nothing. I see them as a thought leader in UXR.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User Interviews is providing my tech team the ability to find the right people for just-in-time planning of studies. And those participants have deep contextual knowledge in their field.

  ### 6. Good service if it fits your needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

User interviews allows you a central place to manage your project for recruitment, consent, scheduling, participation, and participation rewards.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

Depending on your project, their participant pool may not be what you need. Be sure they do a feasibility study before agreeing to anything. They will upsell you on services when your needs aren't her and potentially lock you into a contract that they won't refund if they are unable to meet your participation needs. Be very sure your project will work with their services.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Participant recruitment, consent form management, and reward fulfillment

  ### 7. Does the job but there's room for improvement!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

UI is super helpful for tracking applicants, approving participants, and viewing scheduled sessions in one place.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

It's tedious to set up participant communications in UI - Project description, Project invite are very similar. The templates for communications are a start but need personalization to make it sound more friendly. Rescheduled sessions have new Zoom links which can be confusing when sharing with product partners/notetakers. The updated user interface with tabs make it difficult to find the right tab - there seems to be more clicks down in order to access, for example, scheduling to add timeslots.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI acts as a participant tracking and scheduling tool which makes it easier to share timeslots and have participants choose the best time for them.

  ### 8. Overall it was super smooth to setup the project, add a screener and recruit customers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

Easy to set up the project, add a screener and recruit customers.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

It was challenging to reschedule the interviews and adjust the calendar availability. After rescheduling, participants were unable to access my calendar to rebook.
It was also a bit hard to be inclusive on User interviews (speaker's language fluency (got scheduled an interview with a participant comfortable in Portuguese, annotations - I misinterpreted ,000 and .000)

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to setup the customer research. I tried both ways - one by adding the screener myself and other by sending emails to required participant.
The problem with screener is finding the right candidates.

  ### 9. Too expensive

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

I like that I can recruit people fast and be specific with participants

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

It's too expensive for student researchers and I wish there was a student discount.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it to conduct user interviews for my thesis or my classes, because my participants were specific.

  ### 10. The tool to use if you want to do interviews

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebeka W. | User Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

I have used this tool for all of my usability studies. Easy project set up and launch. I love the Automated emails sent to participants.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

I had a difficult time figuring out where to go to get more information about billing. I use my company Credit Card to pay for the account and I need to have transparency on when I am being charged.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us access to a pool of verified professional participants, which allows us to run more impactful research studies. I work for a small organization and our own user base is small, but we are looking to expand and this allows us to do research to discover how we can improve.

  ### 11. Doctoral Student - Fantastic resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracy B. | Professor/Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

The set up was easy, the interviews were scheduled quickly and were very effective and efficient.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

The cost was very high for a student researcher.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me complete my dissertation inteview research process.

  ### 12. Best recruitment platform for US

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia C. | Senior UX Researcher & Ops, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

Very easy and simple to use. So fast to get the right participants to your study. Happy to work with this team, the customer support is very accessible.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

Quite difficult to manage calendar feature on User Interviews project page.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me get to the right users fast and easy.

  ### 13. Feedback from a UXR

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corinne S. | Product designer and UXResearcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

How you can set up studies regardless of the scale and the ability to manage participants.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

That it's not easy to create your own pool of users to reach out to.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the issue of recruiting potential customers.

  ### 14. A staple in B2C UXR facilitation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

We've used UI for 90% of our research projects for the past few years. I wasn't apart of the implementation, but I have had a very positive experience since onboarding. We use the panel management option and occasionally use the UI panel. Communication and incentive distribution is pretty easy. I'm excited they're exploring mobile text alerts.

The interface has improved and become clearer in that time, and I've had the chance to participate in research where they've asked for improvement.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

We have to use other products (Lyssna, Lookback, etc.) in conjunction with UI to facilitate unmoderated studies. If UI ultimately developed this kind of software, we could do absolutely all of our research from the platform (and I'd love that!).

Like any research tool, UI's panelists are sometimes "career tester" users that will say overwhelmingly positive things about your tested product and ask for positive feedback or additional incentives, outright.

The communication templates are a little rigid. I wish there were more variables.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our panel of customers and providing access to consumers outside of our customer base.

  ### 15. great for user discovery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

super automatized and easy way to recruit participants for user discovery at product company. Is so easy to train the team to use it and implement it. We use it every week as we manage a product pipeline. Love the amount of filter you can user for recruiting, and it also greta that it connect to our teams calendar so seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

not much, they really are great at connecting with you when something looks not ok in your project

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps us recruti a lot faster than with other vendors

  ### 16. Most valuable app for both researchers and participants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lora R. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

What is most helpful to me about user interviews is it seems so much more legit than any other app that I've ever used,I trust it 100%. It's easy to use and it always tells you in advance what the research project is about. Additionally, support is amazing and always there to answer any questions or struggles that you may have.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

I've been a part of User Interviews for about 3 years now and I can't really say that there are any downsides at least I haven't run into any yet! I recommend this app to both researchers and participants!

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my opinion User Interviews is solving the problem of bringing researchers together with users. This benefits me as the user, moreso I like helping research. It's extremely helpful to me to know that my opinion matters and to know that organizations are using applications like user interviews to improve their products or research.

  ### 17. Ease of recruiting, screening, and scheduling participants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

Some of the user interface is a little confusing

Recruiting, screening, and scheduling participants

  ### 18. Great customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

Set up was easy and their helpful staff were on hand to support unprompted

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

Quite complex once set up - found it hard to work out how to edit a live advert - but i think that maybe not so important. I found the scheduling tool difficult and as a result got a weird slot booked in with a interviewee.

Understand how users are using our product in their own words and actions.

  ### 20. Underrated CRM for Research Participants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

While UI is best known for their Recruit product, I'm a big fan of their Hub product. They consistently invest in the research participant CRM, allowing it to be a great place for you to host your research participants that are your own customers. It's way more than a cloud based spreadsheet (like a lot of offerings out there), there are tons of features that make the investment worth it.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

Some filtering shortcomings with the Hub product, but nothing they don't know about, and haven't tried to address or fix.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to safely store, and track, the internal research panel of our own customers, as well as scheduling and delivering incentives. It takes hours and hours of manual effort out of my day to day.

Recruiting a large number of people at once

**What do you like best about User Interviews?**

Recruiting publicly is a breeze and recruiting from our own subscribers has gotten much quicker than my manual efforts before Research Hub on userinterview.com. There are just a few aspects about the platform that don't quite seem as efficient as they could be, but they're constantly asking researchers to share feedback and they make frequent improvements to their UI. Their support team is also very responsive and helps me get the info I need quickly. When I have a recommendation for improving the platform, I feel confident my feedback is being passed along to the designers and considered in future design updates.

**What do you dislike about User Interviews?**

The Research Hub (home to database of our own subscribers) is what needs the most work. It's hard to update several subscribers at once and hard to quickly find a specific subscriber. However, I know they're working on improving the process of finding subscribers so I expect this to improve soon.

The only reason I gave a 9 instead of a 10 is because I haven't had the time to research other platforms to compare, so I'm not 100% sure it's the best option.

**What problems is User Interviews solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before User Interviews we were placing cold calls or sending individual emails to subscribers and hoping they'd respond and that they were a match for our target audience. (It's awkward to ask screener questions on the phone!) User Interviews lets us send out personalized (i.e. includes first name) email blasts to more subscribers and, by including a sceener survey, we can ensure they fit our target audience. Then, it's a breeze getting those folks who passed the screener signed up for a time.
