## Lyssna Reviews
  ### 1. Clean UI, Strong UX Research Tools, and Best-in-Class AI-to-Support Handoff

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I particularly appreciate the overall UI of the platform. It's clean, easy to scan, and contains all the necessary UX research tools. Pricing is competitive, and the growth plan allows for covering almost everything when it comes to UX research. The one thing that I liked the most was the chatbot feature and the very responsive, helpful customer service team. The AI does a really good job at answering surface questions, and whenever it reaches its limits, it transfers you very quickly to a friendly, very helpful customer service team member. That's the best AI-to-customer service feature that I've come across so far. I haven't encountered any issues in terms of speed or performance; it always seemed to be working well. The test was easily connectable with an external party for participant recruitment, so the integrations worked well.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The one thing that I dislike is that sometimes, foreign transactions get blocked, and therefore, it isn't possible to purchase a paid plan. It is a shame that the one thing that doesn't work isn't related to the product itself, because what Lyssna offers is great. When I tried to create an account with a Dutch Mastercard, the system wouldn't accept it. Customer service was once again very helpful with me, and they tried everything to find a solution. Despite the efforts, we were unable to make it work, but I really appreciated the level of effort that was put into trying to find a solution.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna is a simple, straightforward UX that doesn't have a steep learning curve and allows users to conduct all sorts of UX research at a competitive price. It is fast and simple to create a new study, put it live and start collecting data right away.

  ### 2. Right-Sized for SMBs: Easy Interface, Fast Results, and Fair Pricing that offers a UXR superpower

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Absolutely right-sized for small and medium sized businesses. The interface is easy to use and results get turned around quickly allowing us to be data-backed and decisive without dragging our feet. Pricing is fair and the allowance for self-recruits to reduce cost is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

If you have a big UX team that needs lots statistical merit and rigor, this may not be your tool.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to get lightning quick, highly relevant results at a fair price. Being able to ask our target market the right question at the right moment is a big deal.

  ### 3. Easy Setup, Exceptional Support for User Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuela R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I found it really, really easy to set up Lyssna and could explore it before I even had to pay. I was amazed by the customer support team who helped me with every question I had within seconds. The team also helped my out when I did a costly mistake. With Lyssna I feel I have someone who got my back, when I need to deliver insights fast.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There's only one thing I wish was different with Lyssna. As a consultant, I want my clients to purchase the tool instead of me. I'd love to be added as a seat in their solution. But that's not possible if I already have an account with Lyssna. I had to find another email address to make it work. It's a minor issue with a simple solution.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna helps me understand user reactions and experiences in my research, which other tools miss. It provides insights with its five second tests, addressing gaps in user understanding. It's self serving, fast, not expansive.

  ### 4. Fast Results and Flexible Audience Targeting for Quicker UX Decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I like how results are released quickly, it helps us ux designers to make quicker, faster decisions and iterations. I also like the fact that you can select the kind of audience you want and actually make groups for this. I like that customer support is easy to access and the option is right there on the screen. Running the tests is also pretty straight forward. I use it like once a quarter and intend to use it more often going forward. A large pool of humans who can validate my designs for me is great and makes publishing the tests easier and faster, leading to faster implementation (ease of implementation).

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Finding the studies that I have published through my account in an enterprise subscription is not easy. I still am struggling with finding my past user studies. It'd be great if Lysnaa could sum up the usability test findings in a document/presentation for me, integration will be easier that way.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me understand how well my designs work with the users. A large pool of humans who can validate my designs for me is great as it helps me decide the kind of audience I need for my test. It helps me launch my designs faster and with confidence.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks so much for the feedback. Your suggestions around finding past studies more easily and summarizing results into a document or presentation or via integrations are great ideas. We’d love to learn more about how you’d want that to work if you’re open to sharing more detail with us.

  ### 5. Lyssna User Research results in under 30 minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon S. | Senior Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I used Lyssna to run a research study for a new app I am developing. It was straightforward to set up with real users. Most surprising was the speed; useful survey results were back in under 30 minutes!

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

It would be great if the limitations of the free tier were explained a bit more clearly. For instance how many responses per study are permitted.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an independent designer developing a new product, getting validated responses from real users quickly is invaluable. The credit system makes it genuinely accessible for fledgling businesses. The support team, particularly Chris, made the process straightforward from start to finish.

  ### 6. Lightning-Fast Testing with Clear, Shareable Results

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany S. | Head of Product, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Honestly, it’s the speed. I mainly use it for five-second tests and preference tests, and I can get something live in about 15–20 minutes, which for research tooling is perfect. The results are also easy to read, I can pull a screenshot straight into a doc, and it actually makes sense to someone who wasn’t in the room.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The panel quality is a bit inconsistent if I'm being honest. You'll get responses where someone has clearly just clicked through as fast as possible to collect their reward, and there's not a great way to weed those out without doing it by hand. Also the pricing has gone up since the rebrand from UsabilityHub and I do feel it a little. Nothing dealbreaking but worth knowing going in.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team works using the Shape Up framework, and Lyssna helps us validate ideas before we go into the build cycle. In the past, even running a quick study felt like enough of a lift that it kept getting pushed down the priority list. Now I can just throw together a preference test before a design review, so I have something concrete to point to. It’s already saved me from a few pretty awkward “we built the wrong thing” conversations with stakeholders.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for the review and feedback Tiffany. Maintaining high-quality participant responses is something we actively work on, and we’re continuing to invest in improvements that help researchers identify and filter low-effort responses more easily. I'll be sure to pass your feedback to the team.

  ### 7. Convenient UXR Hub with Room for Improvement in Saving and Test Flow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** auzeen r. | UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I like that I'm able to conduct UXR in one hub. I haven't explored all the different types of tests, but I enjoy that I'm not responsible for external recruitment if I don't have to be.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There have been multiple instances in which my changes were not being saved and I lost entire studies that I had spent time working on, which was really frustrating. I wish it operated like Google Suite, where changes are saved almost immediately on the cloud with the option to Undo, Redo, and view Version History should I choose.

I also find the flow of some of the tests to be a bit odd, specifically A/B testing as a UX Designer. I've found myself having to administer 2 First-Click tests instead to achieve the results that a A/B test would otherwise give me if not administered through Lyssna.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes getting feedback on UX/UI Designs quick and simple. It allows me to disprove and/or validate my current ideas, explorations, and designs which are vital in the product development process. It allows me to make iterations quicker and support ideas with data when talking to stakeholders.

  ### 8. Great tool for gathering real and visual user feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjan v. | Senior UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

It's a great tool that I, as a UX Researcher, can use to quickly gather feedback about our live website and the prototypes that my fellow UX Designers are making for the team. This makes the voice of the customer more important to our company and advocates a great UX. Also, customer support is through the roof: always very helpful and accomodating. Feedback is brought to the developer team, so things that are missing constantly evolve.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Not many downsides, only that the questionnaire logic is a bit more basic than dedicated Survey tools.
But the fact that you can record live website behavior and people interacting with a prototype, and even do audio recordings, make it a tool that we are very happy to use.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna solves the problem of presenting visuals and prototypes to users and getting feedback. This isn't something that can easily be done in traditional suvey software. So Lyssna is a great addition to our UX Research toolbox, for this!

  ### 9. Intuitive Interface and AI That Speeds Up Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lorraine B. | UX design consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The interface is intuitive and the AI really helps to gather better responses and in turn, really speeds up and helps with analysing the results

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Customer support is mostly articles it was easy enough to figure things out but it would have been great to speak to a person in the early days

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in solving questions around comprehension, design direction, journey discovery, gaining customer focused feedback helps to squash uncertainty and individual stakeholder opinions

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for the feedback Lorraine. We actually run live sessions each month to help users get started. I'll share the link here, if you havent attended, it's a great way to ask questions and get help with those early studies.

  ### 10. Great experience overall!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roni L. | digital optimization manager ( ux researcher and CRO ), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Super fast feedback
Easy to set up and run tests
Flexible formats for different research needs
Solid panel reach

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Prototype builder could use more flexibility
Pricing model can get tricky with targeting
The AI summary combines all responses in preference tests, so it ends up being too generic and not that useful.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna helps me obtain fast feedback on UX flows and the clarity of content, which accelerates iteration and supports optimization goals. However, the AI-generated summaries in preference tests tend to be too generic. We also encountered issues with the prototype testing settings, as they are not flexible, leading us to switch to a different tool for that part. Nonetheless, Lyssna is great for quick validation and early-stage testing.

  ### 11. Unpredictable Pricing and Performance Issues Undermine Lyssna's Value

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna's mix-and-match study builder is its main asset. You can easily combine different methods, task types, etc. in a fairly flexible way. The builder UI is intuitive (easy to navigate with keyboard, supports bulk pasting to build response trees, functional Figma integration), and data export is rich (although occasionally plagued with special character issues). It is very good for quick, single-purpose studies with rapid recruitment and flexible screening tools. I often don't need to write custom screeners because they collect a lot of demographic data you can use when building your sample - for example, if I want to survey homeowners, I can select that attribute rather than writing a screener question (for which they charge extra...).

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Lyssna's pricing is wildly unpredictable. Where other platforms charge a consistent rate for a specific type of research (e.g. $5/head for surveys, or $60 for unmoderated usability testing), Lyssna prices based on predicted length of study, and those predictions seem to have little relationship to reality. Sometimes this is useful - I find Lyssna's rates are often below competitors for shorter studies or single tasks - but sometimes it's prohibitive, as estimates snowball for longer studies and rapidly become unreasonable. I wouldn't recommend them for larger usability studies with many tasks, or for benchmarking studies where you want users to perform multiple tasks with each of several competitors, both because the randomization feature can't handle this, and because you'll have no idea of your cost until you've built the whole study out.

I also consistently experience crippling performance issues with their study builder, which is laggy under the best of circumstances and unusable under the worst. (Notably, PlaybookUX has the same problem here. I wouldn't recommend them either.)

Lyssna has zero qualitative analysis functionality for interviews - not even the ability to export video clips, let alone tag things. I would absolutely not recommend them for synchronous studies right now.

Finally, Lyssna's study builder does not autosave, and won't save your study with errors or incomplete fields. This makes it risky to work with - you can't build out a click test protocol preemptively without uploading your images, for example, because it won't save - and I've lost large amounts of work many times.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna is built to support rapid usability and concept testing. That's good for smaller companies who are iterating rapidly, but less valuable for companies that move slower and want more data behind decisions.

  ### 12. Easy to Use, Fun Research Opportunities with Clear Results

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melanie G. | Product designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Easy to use and understand results. Fun, unique research opportunities that are easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The limit to 5 minute unmoderated research on the basic plan. Wish we had 10 mins. Also, I edited a study and didn't realize I needed to create a new link to share, which means I sent out a broken link. So I think the UI design could improve when publishing studies.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily run research in creative ways. Easy to track findings.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for the feedback Melanie. I'll share the URL issue you faced so the team can take a look at this.

  ### 13. Almost There, But Not Quite: It’s comparable to powerful tools , just shy on functionalities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aileen M. | UX Research Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

It’s comparable to other powerful tools and very close to meeting all my needs—just a bit shy on some of the functionalities noted in my recommendations. The customer service and support, however, are excellent.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Recommendations:

More flexible logic for screener questions to route into card sorts and other test types.

Segment recruiting with expanded screener options (beyond 4).

Cap participants per screener/demographic for balanced samples.

Save and reuse participant pools from past studies as well as select them to be invited.

Support hybrid card sorts (open + closed), allowing participants to name categories or create subcategories.

Provide dendrograms for card sort results.

Show accurate recruitment timelines.

Send notifications as participant quotas fill.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna solves the challenge of running UX research without a dedicated budget or team. It allows flexibility for individual use, which is especially valuable for smaller companies. With Lyssna, I can still execute research using the essential tools needed to gather feedback and insights, even when resources are limited.

  ### 14. Transparent Pricing and Effortless Research Project Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke J. | Director of Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I love the transparent pricing and how easy it is to quickly spin up and execute a research project.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Nothing at all, I've had really good experiences with Lyssna.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves a need for a range of research projects we had that we previously needed to use a bunch of solutions for. Things such as surveys, card sorting exercises, unmoderated research, preference tests, and more can now all be done through Lyssna.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks so much for the review Luke, we’re really happy to hear our transparent pricing and quick project setup are helping you run research smoothly.

  ### 15. Super Convenient User Research with Fast Target Group Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Remy d. | Digital Marketing Manager, Retail, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

It's a super convenient way of doing user research with tasks, surveys, screen recordings and approach the right target group within a short period of time. Feedback quality is high also and pretty much guaranteed.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Not too many downsides at this moment, only the costs are a bit high I would say sometimes per user.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UX problems on our website is the main reason we are using this tool to discover ways to get a higher appointment conversation rate on the site.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks so much for the great review Remy!

  ### 16. Intuitive product for beginner-level user testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda D. | Associate Creative Director, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

So darn intuitive to use. I've hardly had to refer to documentation to figure out how to get started. Lots of templates to use as a starting point. And I've attended several webinars hosted by the support team. Always have ready-to-implement insights and nice to be able to chat with other designers in the chat room. Easy to read and share the testing results. I've even added collaborators to the projects to encourage other marketing folks to leverage the tool. They also found it very easing to use. We can upgrade / downgrade as our needs dictate and the cost per cost is fair.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I need help writing good instructions to be able to get quality responses from the participants. Sometimes I feel like the responses don't give me enough insights to inform the next iteration of the design.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

giving us a signal for further A/B testing within our Adobe Target live site. giving us confidence to make the case for introducing new features and functionality into our website

  ### 17. Great Tool for UX Research!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie L. | UX Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna provides a wide range of tools that make it easy for us to carry out both moderated and unmoderated user research. Most of these tools are straightforward to use, and I particularly appreciate the excellent customer support offered by the Lyssna team!

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I've run into issues with losing progress on my surveys and tests because my browser timed out and I forgot to click the "Save and Preview" button. Wish there was a more intuitive way to save drafts, or have an auto-save feature!

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna helps me build surveys and user tests while integrating with Figma prototypes to give me a wide range of options for UX research.

  ### 18. Excellent UI/UX That’s a Joy to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michell M. | Digital Strategy and Innovations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Its UI/UX is really good, the ways to filter an audience to recruit is quite complete.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There are some limitations to recruit people from the french-speaking Africa. Also when you select several countries, they are not balances enough.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's facilitating market research for product creation, and preference tests for product improvement. Especially when our products and services are global.

  ### 19. Easy to Use, Quick Results, and Fast Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fatima S. | User Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The platform is easy to use, delivers quick results, and provides fast support when needed.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Nothing to mention here. The overall experience was very good.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to recruit participants for my master’s survey, and it helped me complete my thesis more quickly.

  ### 20. The best experience for those who has problems with recruiting the audience for research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anton T. | Head of Product and Business Develompent, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I've started to user Lyssna as a research platform about 3 month ago. For this time, we conducted about 11 surveys and UX research about our fintech product. For some of them we already had the audience but the most of them was conducted with recruiting tool help. We're international company and we need to conduct surveys for different countries and different user segments — and Lyssna helps with it a lot. I way more cheeper than Maze but quality is very good.

Also, it's very easy to create a survey or research in Lyssna. There's very convenient interface when you can create any task whether it survey or 5-sec-test. And I love the interface that users see while taking part in the survey.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I believe that it could be much better if the rates being reconsidered. The main problem that I cannot share any test or add any employee if I'm on starting rate — I need to purchase Basic or Pro. And the most strange thing for me that "credits" for paying for the recruitment is not inculded in any rate. I think if the rate contains some credits or some discount on purchasing them, it'll be way more attractive for us.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna solving two problems:
1. We can recruit the needed audience in every country we need — we don't need to recruit them by ourselves.
2. We can collect all the research and surveys in one place, divide it into folders, tag it, share it — it's way more better than add it to the Confluence every time we conduct any research.

  ### 21. Customizable Tests and Fast Participant Recruitment in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren C. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I like being able to customize the test and find participants and run tests in a concise timeline.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I think I wish there was a little more customization of the live web and being able to have the navigation feature have optional hit targets. Maybe slightly more robust things to test or different layouts of the sections for participants to view.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can test and get feedback for design decisions before launching new features.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for the review Lauren. I'll share your feedback with the product team.

  ### 22. A great user research platform for a variety of research needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kylie M. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I really like that Lyssna is able to let me create studies that are simple and straightforward, or complex and advanced. It has great summary and synthesis tools, and lets me recruit however I need to best.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I dislike the lack of customization and some of the UI design, I also really struggle with the lack of an autosave feature while editing/creating a survey.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a smaller company, we have our UX designers complete all of our user research. Lyssna makes research less manual by giving us a platform to conduct complex prototype testing and send it out to our users to complete in an unmoderated session.

  ### 23. Clear insights and easy usability testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna makes it simple to gather fast, actionable feedback from real users. The platform is intuitive, easy to set up, and provides a variety of testing options, which makes it flexible for different research needs. I like how quickly I can create a test, share it, and get results that are clear and well visualized. It helps me validate business decisions with confidence, without needing a steep learning curve or heavy setup. Their support team is also great, and very quick to respond with helpful answers.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The pricing is quite steep, especially for smaller teams or individuals. I was also told my order would be complete within 20 hours, but in reality, it took 5–6 days in total, which was frustrating as I hoped for a much faster turn around.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna helps me quickly validate design decisions and collect real user feedback without needing to recruit participants manually. This saves a huge amount of time and gives me reliable insights that I can share with my team to support product and UX improvements. It allows us to test ideas early, reduce guesswork, and make data-informed decisions, which ultimately improves the user experience and speeds up our design process.

  ### 24. Streamlines User Feedback Collection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DuJuan H. | CxO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Streamlines the process for collecting user feedback.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Not as much help available on problem discovery/Job-to-be-Done interviews but useful nonetheless.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping my startup understand whether we are pursuing a "problem worth solving".

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for the review DuJuan.

  ### 25. Simple to Use—Create Tests in Just 5 Minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viktoriia Z. | Design Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

How simple it is to use. I just make test in 5 minutes

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There is no stop button for test if i understand that i make a mistake

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Be more specific in communication with stakeholders

  ### 26. Compared a few options but chose Lyssna.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I liked how easy it was to set up a user research test. The platform feels real intuitive and has a bunch of features that are actually helpful.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

It wasn't clear right away how much it will cost. It took me a while to figure out the final pricing and how their payment system works.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It help me figure out the best features for my website that people actually find helpful.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> Thanks for sharing your experience, and for choosing Lyssna!

We’re really happy to hear the platform felt intuitive and made it easy to set up your test. We also appreciate the feedback on pricing clarity, and we’re always working to make the cost and payment process more transparent. Great to hear Lyssna is helping you focus your website around the features users truly value!

  ### 27. Major bugs and opinionated backend choices make Lyssna frustrating to use

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The variety of tests available on the platform.
Responsive support.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

One study per month at the starter plan level is surprisingly low.
Backend glitches and performance issues.
A clunky backend experience leads to a lot of manual work.
Conspicuous branding, even on a paid plan, makes exporting client reports difficult.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna is a user research suite of tools that lets me collect insights on designs and experiences.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> We’re glad the variety of tests and our support team have stood out positively. At the same time, we take your concerns about plan limits, performance issues, backend friction, and branding seriously. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have. I will share your feedback with the team.

  ### 28. Lyssna is my go-to for very cheap but super flexible surveys

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosie D. | Lead Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The survey creation tool is second to none. You really can do any kind of survey or unmoderated research you want on there. Easy analysis, easy creation. What more could you want? I've been using Lyssna for years. It's also by far the cheapest platform out there. Like, by a really long way.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The thing I would improve is the size of the panel. It's really good for consumer insights and slightly more generalised audiences, but when you want to get really specific with B2B or niche audiences, then sometimes I'm not able to get the participants I need.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna lets me speak to users in a really lightweight and flexible way.

  ### 29. Lyssna customer support goes above and beyond

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitoria V. | Content designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Aside of the highly intuitive and newbie friendly interface of Lyssna, the customer support team proves that a good product can only achieve greatness when user needs are truly central. When I've faced issues while analysing data from a study, they were swift to take action and fix the bug so my experience wasn't affected.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

A minor downside is that there isn't, up until the present moment, more regionalised language options to conduct your study into.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna helps me and my team build easy and effective surveys and user tests that we use to improve our product's experience.

  ### 30. Easy to use quick results.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig at Tech PM Career Path . | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna is easy to use. I have used it for three online studies so far; 2 web usability studies to improve my homepage and 1 study to rank business ideas. There's no technical jargon getting in the way to understand it. Billing is simple and easy to understand before you buy.

In terms of "recommendations", I've already written a blog post about Lyssna so that other small business owners can consider using it to improve their websites. In my blog post I mention that I am not affiliated with Lyssna, just a happy customer, which is how I believe recommendations should be given.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Some of the participant responses are provided too quickly. For example, the Lyssna results show the milliseconds that each participant spent answering each question in my study. Sometimes the response time is too short, when I know it will take longer to read the questions and consider a real answer. *This is an issue for any company offering online studies.* Perhaps AI/ML can do anomaly detection or measure mouse movement to separate "real considered" answers from people quickly clicking just to get through the study.

They need 2 factor authentication.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are able to (a) offer a platform with great usability to host my studies (b) allow me to narrow down the type of participants I want at a very fine granularity and (c) quick get results, usually within 1-2 days for a small study.

  ### 31. Lyssna is a decent panel tool but limited on non-english speaking recruitment

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Its easy to set up a study and there are a lot of criteria available for selecting a panel. The pricing is more flexible than other platforms such as Wynter as there is no steep "buy-in" costs which makes Lyssna more accessible if you don't have the budget for a $17k initial subscription.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There could be more choice in the survey question formats. The job titles to select from in the panel recruitment section seem really random and some obvious job titles seem to be missing.
If you need non-english speaking panellists then this can take a while. I had to abandon a French survey due to only being able to recruit 10 people (not worth it) and a German survey has a lead time of over 10 days for 20 people.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps gives a market perspective of our products that is less biased than customer interviews.

  ### 32. A very happy experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madalayne R. | UX/UI Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I have had a very positive experience building surveys and usability tests within Lyssna on a regular basis. It's very user friendly, the support staff is incredibly responsive and helpful, and I feel that this team cares about their users and improving the product. The options suit my needs well and there are new features coming out that make my life even easier.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There are some limitations with the survey builder. I think it could be made more flexible for different use-cases, and there could be more customization with regard to how survey respondents navigate through the survey (maybe a back button, or multiple Qs on one page). I think there are some quality of life improvements, and some more mechanisms for not losing data when building a survey.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna gives us a way to collect feedback from customers in a quick and easy way, and allows us to identify and address usability problems by allowing respondents to explore our prototypes.

  ### 33. Clear insights with an easy-to-use experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge R. | UI/UX Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna offers an intuitive and visually clear interface that makes it easy to create and share tests. Plus, its fast results support agile, informed decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Some advanced features could benefit from clearer guidance or onboarding, and greater customization options for test flows would enhance flexibility and user control.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna still presents certain challenges, such as limited customization of test flows and a need for better guidance with advanced features. However, these limitations actually work in my favor by keeping the focus on simple, effective solutions that align well with project goals, without unnecessary complexity. This balance between functionality and simplicity has allowed us to make agile decisions based on clear data.

  ### 34. Great tool with great survey options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

One of Lyssna's standout features is its ability to automatically transcribe audio or video recordings into text but I love most is its ability to synthesise data into actionable insights. By identifying recurring themes, patterns, and issues in user feedback, it helps product teams make informed decisions about what to prioritise.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Lyssna is packed with features, which can feel overwhelming at times, especially if you're new to the tool. The sheer amount of data and options available can make the interface feel cluttered and a bit difficult to navigate.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna's ability to detect themes, sentiment, and recurring issues in feedback helps you focus on what truly matters to your users, enabling more informed, data-driven decisions. I love it as it enhances our team collaboration, allowing everyone to access, annotate, and contribute to research insights if needed.

  ### 35. Powerful test builder

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad G. | Senior Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The ease of building both simple and complex tests is great. Highly flexible to any testing needs

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Minimal customisation. I would like to be able to edit and control some of the screens that appear between blocks/tests that give instruction. They show screenshots of nice websites, which may confuse users if I'm testing wireframes.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to validate hypotheses for usability mainly. Also, in the past I've used it to get quantitative feedback on card sorting exercises as well as surveys

  ### 36. Affordable and Easy to Use, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna is very easy to use and affordable

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The prototype testing is horrible. I understand that latest updates in Figma has made this feature difficult, as it doesnt track certain prototype behavior. But if it doesn't work, dont promote/sell it.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Low cost usability testing for website/app components

  ### 37. Insight-rich tool for UX research. Just needs better guidance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elena T. | Freelance Email Marketer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Easy to set up and run surveys from quick tests to full usability studies. I started using it last May, and the results have been solid. The free version is surprisingly complete. Great for validating content and copy early on before implementing it.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

The interface of Lyssna could be improved, but it functions fine. The number of options is great, but early on, it’s easy to feel lost. It would benefit from a more guided onboarding experience during the first couple of weeks.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me test and validate content quickly, saving time and reducing guesswork in UX and copy decisions. I write content for emails, websites, and ecommerce, so getting fast feedback is a big plus.

  ### 38. Very useful tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

It has a lot of useful tools that provides us value, and the interface is very nice and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Perhaps that some exercises work less well on phone since the instructions and Lyssna tool takes a lot of space from e.g. the homepage you want to display.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allow us to do user research in quite deep detail without spending too much time and still get a good number of input.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> We’re so glad to hear you’re finding value in the range of tools and enjoying the interface. We also appreciate the note about mobile experiences. That’s helpful feedback and I will share with our product team.

  ### 39. Fast and intuitive tool for usability testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

What I like most about Lyssna is how easy it is to set up and analyze usability tests. We've been using it a lot at the company whenever we need to validate something in the design we're building. I love Lyssna's interface and feel like I can do everything I need quickly and effectively.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I’m not a big fan of how prototypes are displayed on the screen—there’s a floating modal that, depending on the screen format we’re sharing, can end up covering part of what’s being tested. In my opinion, this negatively affects the testing experience.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna enables us to run usability tests quickly and efficiently through their user panel, often delivering valuable insights within hours—or even minutes. This rapid turnaround supports our design decisions and allows us to confidently share data-driven results with stakeholders.

  ### 40. Frustrating experience with Lyssna's Figma integration

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

The actual user experience of Lyssna is quite intuitive. Navigating through the tool is straightforward, and its design is user-friendly, which makes setting up tests and analyzing results relatively easy.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I had high hopes for Lyssna as a user research tool, especially with its claim of being the best alternative to UserTesting.com. However, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The integration with Figma is particularly problematic. Despite having a small prototype, the tool constantly flags my file as too large. When I reached out to their support team, they acknowledged that my file was indeed small but offered no concrete solutions or timeline for a fix. This issue isn't isolated to me; several colleagues on my design team have encountered the same problem. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and buggy, making it difficult to rely on Lyssna for our user research needs.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It would solve my problems if it actually worked like it's supposed to.

**Official Response from Team Lyssna:**

> I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. This is definitely not the usual experience for our users. I'll pass this feedback on to the product team to look into it further.

  ### 41. Easy UI and Templates Make Testing a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

easy ui and the templates to run different tests

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

i have trouble recruiting enough participants

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

its super helpful for scheduleing interviews and having all those recordings in one place

  ### 42. Quick, Easy User Research Studies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Run quick user research studies for insights

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Features hidden behind paid plans that requires an upgrade

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you want to understand the why from users on-site behaviour, Lysnna allows me to run quick studies

  ### 43. Lyssna is a great tool to improve your user experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

It's really easy to setup Lyssna, spread it into your designers team, include your Figma prototypes and just get it rolling.

You can focus on quantity or quality or both. Getting useful insights directly from your users. Lyssna even put a user panel you can reach is you want to test out of your sphere.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

We would like to have more tools to play with the gathered data.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease the user research and testing phases with the right tool.

  ### 44. Great Experience with Unmoderated Testing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam H. | Sr. User Experience Designer and Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lyssna has a great list of features and helped my team build several unmoderated tests that ran all at once. This saved us so much time and energy that we could spend elsewhere. The figma integration allowed us to test prototypes fast and early.

Customer care was very fast to helped us answer questions before launching our first test. Users that were brought into the test through their recruitment panel were high quality and attentive to the test.

Highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

None so far.

Thanks for the great experience.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unmoderated Research and recruiting

  ### 45. One of my go-to tools for over a decade!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theresa F. | CRO Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I've been doing CRO for over 15 years and have relied on Lyssna (formerly UsabilityHub) to back up my recommendations and get client buy-in on test ideas. I find it more powerful to SHOW them that 75% of users don't know what their value prop is, for example, rather than merely telling that to them, myself. I also use it to uncover problems that I didn't initially think of.

I appreciate that the feedback is super quick and affordable. And I like the variery of tests/polls I can run.

In recent years, they added more filters, which I like, such as hobbies, technology use, financial products, etc to better target the right respondents.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

I sometimes feel like the repondents don't match the criteria I requested. It makes me wonder what type of screening or verification there is to ensure that users truly fit the demographics they claim to. Also, there are times that I get snarky responses, which aren't worth paying for. So I'd like Lyssna to invest in improving -- and checking in on -- the quality of their panel, which I use exclusively.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for quick user research on webpages to inform hypotheses for A/B testing. It's a great tool to get client buy-in on my recommendations. I find that clients don't push back nearly as much when I have this qualitative data to back up my ideas!

  ### 46. One stop shop for usability testing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail P. | Senior Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I love the flexibility it gives me to create any type of usability test I want. One restriction when doing unmoderated tests is always how confining it is to just show the prototype then ask proceeding questions. Lyssna allows you to combine prototype tests, preference tests, survey questions and more all in one. Saves soooo much of me and my team's time and budget.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Not so much a dislike, more of an opportunity for an even more helpful feature. I would love some sort of AI analysis tool to help me sort through my results. Especially when asking a lot of qualitative questions it can be hard to sort through the data in the end without reading through every single answer - if there was a way to summarise/analyse the results that would be even better.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lyssna allows me and my team to do moderated and unmoderated usability testing in one place. It also allows me to easily view the results of the testing so I can more efficiently start analysis - thus helping us create better experiences for our customers.

  ### 47. Total flexibility for UX Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Ability to add different question types and blocks within one study

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

UI of the tool is at times a little confusing to navigate

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, a lot of UX tools would only let you run one study type at a time - Lyssna changed the game here. Being able to run a card sort and a tree test or first click task within a single study for example helps to get to navigation insights much quicker at a lower cost than trying to do all of these separately.

  ### 48. Fast, clean and clear

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle F. | Product Manager, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

I love that the platform finds respondents for you, and all you have to do is set the required demographics.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

No tooltip text on hover of some icons makes it hard to understand what they are.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping get feedback from real world users on the interface and experience of our website product offering.

  ### 49. Lyssna is straightforward to use and has a ton of inline guidance to help you figure it out.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin B. | Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

You get easy access to their testing panel with a decent set of parameters to define your sample. In my work, it's sometimes necessary to recruit from our membership, but when it's not, I love how straightforward Lyssna's recruitment process is! Also, the way you can create a "mashup" study using a combination of testing methods is amazing. I'm used to these kinds of tools offering "either/or" choices - e.g. either a tree test or a survey. Lyssna lets me create a mixed-methods study, which I love.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

There are some efficiency issues during test setup, for instance, you can duplicate entire tests, questions, etc. but when you're setting up something like a tree test you can't import the same tree hierarchy and apply it to all your tasks at once. They seem to be aware of these kinds of things, though, and make small adjustments that really enhance usability.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need fast turnaround time on testing in order to get insight into very specific questions. Lyssna enables me to design the test I need, get it reviewed by peers and stakeholders, and publish to a pool of prequalified testers very quickly.

  ### 50. Great for unmoderated research and validating UX flows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranjan N. | Lead UX Researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Lyssna?**

Lysnna provides some great features to test UX flows, conduct AB testing, card sorting, etc. Its an easy to use software and surveys are very quick and easy to setup.

**What do you dislike about Lyssna?**

Sometimes when using figma files, it can take long for figma files to load in preview.

**What problems is Lyssna solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lysnna provides us with tools for conducting unmoderated research with UX designs and flows. It has a variety of features that make it easy and we are able to get large sample sizes instead of conducting moderated research
