Also -- if I want to download a validated list of contacts, it would be great if I could set the quantity of validated contacts, and get exactly that. As it is, I configure a list, and tell the system I want a particular number of contacts -- and then say I want ones with validated email addresses. I get some subset of the original number -- no telling how many I'm going to get. Sometime later that month I got slapped with a 900 dollar bill and because they did not find those funds they took what they could: 99 dollars. Now they say it is nonrefundable. Imagine this with 900 dollars. UPDATE: They have come back to me and refunded my funds. I had to bring to their attention that what they were doing might have been considered illegal by FTC: Federal Trade Commission Act Section 5: Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices I am not sure if this was the reason they refunded me the funds or the fact that I have not engaged with their platform at all except for introducing my card details. I am still scared that they will charge me next month, even though I have cancelled my unwanted subscription instantly without using it. Please be careful with the auto-subscription. -------- Summary: Onboarding dark pattern. Be aware after the trial period they opt you in automatically for a 1 year subscription. I did not use it at all because I found it too complicated, got charged initially with 900 doors and then after a failed attempt, they charged me 99 dollars. FOR NOT ONE ACTION on that site. My trial points are there. I have not touched them and so are the automatic subscription points. They are refusing to refund me the 99 dollars that they, in my view, stole from me for no value whatsoever. Long version: I recently encountered some challenges during the onboarding process that I believe are important to share. After the trial period, I was automatically enrolled in a one-year subscription without my explicit consent. This led to an initial charge of $900, followed by an additional $99 after an unsuccessful attempt to manage the subscription. I found the process somewhat complicated and was unable to utilize the service, leaving my trial points unused. Additionally, I did not receive any email notifications regarding the billing or the conclusion of the trial period, which contributed to my oversight of the automatic subscription. It appears that the terms and conditions may be located in a less visible area of the website, possibly within fine print or buried under extensive text related to saving card details. This made it difficult to locate and understand the automatic enrollment details. **What problems is UpLead solving and how is that benefiting you?** None. They completly failed on all acounts. Stole 99 dollars from me which could have been 900 and now refuse to refund me stolen funds. ### 13. I end up having to recreate them. Most other lead vendors I've worked with over the last 20 years offer so much in terms of search criteria that the process is either such a hassle to navigate that it's not worth it, or I am forced to pay for features I have no interest in using. The search features are intuitive once you know what you are looking for. Identifying, downloading and then importing new leads into my CRM is a breeze. Finally, because of it's simplicity I have been able to use, and will continue to use UpLead across multiple businesses I've owned as well as across vastly different industries with the same great results. **What do you dislike about UpLead?** Because the search criteria is somewhat limited, it was challenging at first to identify the correct terms and placement of those terms into the search tools. **What problems is UpLead solving and how is that benefiting you?** UpLead saves me hours of research trying to identify the correct contact within an organization, not to mention how to actually get in touch with that contact. Additionally, I have found the contact information UpLead provides to be extremely accurate thereby increasing the efficacy of my marketing efforts. Using UpLead to identify contacts has allowed me open rates on my email marketing campaigns that I have never seen, even during my time working with Fortune 500 companies and their massive marketing budgets and fancy tools. ### 38. The learning curve is very short, especially as compared against other competitors in the space. You don't have to be a computer expert to obtain the results that are needed. Additionally, the cost is very attractive as compared to others and you do not have to sign a multi-year agreement or obtain their Intent Data. **What do you dislike about UpLead?** No major downsides to report, however, it would be nice to be able to pull or open a weekly report showing only the "new" additions to a saved intent search. That is the only thing missing. **What problems is UpLead solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the problem of lead generation. We have a very specific target customer who is very hard to reach via other forms of digital outreach. With UpLead, we are able to pull prospects quickly and cost effectively, determine/confirm ownership and key contacts and obtain email and/or phone numbers for direct outreach. Without this tool, it is almost impossible to obtain ownership info without spending a ton of time and effort, especially for the mid-size and smaller business customers. ### 40. I work for a seating company that specializes in 24/7 seating and also heavy machinery seating. Being able to use up lead to target those specific demographics is just so huge. The upside is that it has seriously helped in my marketing campaigns. I've been able to build new prospect lists for my sales teams in an effort to build even more sale. And I know all of the leads are qualified already through upload. The fact that I can search companies or contacts through a plethora of filters is just unbelievably useful. It's an easy to use system with a ton of features to really expand the way I look for new leads. **What do you dislike about UpLead?** I have no had any problems with uplead really. It's done what I've needed it to do. **What problems is UpLead solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to become a bit more of a proactive sales team and not just reactive. Uplead has allowed us to do this in finding new prospects and customers we would not be able to find before or would have to pay for from a less trusty source than uplead. It is driving sales to a new level and more sales means more profit. It helps with email verification too. Using a crm to send emails, it's nice to know my email won't have a high bounce rate with the use of uplead. ### 43. I like also how the customer support team is communicative if there is in issue but they don't overly reach out and bug you. I use this product at least 3-4x per week.
