Sometimes there are bad bugs where it delays/stops our work but their customer service is prompt and rarely do we have the same problem twice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great content management tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

We used this tool at my previous company. It's a great tool for content management and organizing multiple projects. Before using Kapost, my team would constantly be losing track of what was going out and when. This is a great tool for organizing our workflow and ensuring that things don't fall off the radar.

This tool allows us to produce more content in a more efficient way. It also does what a lot of smaller tools would do combined, so the all-in-one aspect is a bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

The platform could have allowed for more customization. Not every feature needed to be utilized and I think the user interface could have been more streamlined if it would have allowed for the removal of some of these.

It can be a little overwhelming, especially as someone who had never used a tool like this in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Marketing strategy tool for businesses!"
4/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

Kapost has helped us easily coordinate and manage content creation. It helps us keep much better track of any tasks and see when the campaign goes live. It helps in keeping the entire team on the same page. It helps manage all content types like case studies, white papers, product brochures and helps streamline the overall marketing strategy. I also like how effortless it is to work together on articles piece with other team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

It would be nice to have an additional feature to modify the gallery to match with our brand design. Also, the search function can have better functionality to be able to seamlessly search through past content, through tags and filters. There is room for improvement in the insights part of Kapost where it will be useful to drill down to granular level of marketing metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good if you have the time to populate"
2/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

The platform is visually pleasant and the Kapost on-boarding/ account team was very supportive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

As an acid Gsuite and zapier user I didn't see anything about Kapost that couldn't be done using those tools. The way the platform is setup supports content marketing best practices but not something I needed a reminder on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kapost is a powerful content managing tool"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

Kapost is an all-inclusive content manager that makes organizing product launches much easier and focused. Keeps the whole team on the same page. Very good for record keeping and accountability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

Needs global search - search is fairly weak.

Needs to sync with Google Drive (dev team is in process of working on this I believe).

Video viewer is low quality.

Word Press plug in is not both ways - only works for uploading.

Plugins all around need to work better with interface.

Can't plug in google calendar

user interface is not exactly intuitive or well designed. Looks clean enough but could be much better.

Notifications SUCK. They need to be more customizable and better organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kapost review from a project manager "
4.5/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

A great tool for multiple projects occurring at the same time. The company I work with will have over 20 to 30 projects going on at the same time. It has the great ability to template out the content and project pieces you routinely use. In addition, it has the ability to create custom fields that allow you to track the metadata of all our tasks and projects. One of the best parts I think about Kapost, is its accountability, it keeps everyone honest and tracks the commenting activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

There have been a few glitches, the integration with Google docs could be improved. It can be a little annoying when the wrong Google doc is attached to the content piece, because you have to delete and recreate the content piece. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great project management tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

Kapost is a great tool for multiple departments co-managing projects. It provides visibility into the entire project's lifecycle from beginning to end. Numerous communication methods enable you to stay on task and informed on the latest changes within a project. Users can access all content in one place and a dashboard shows all tasks assigned to you that still need completed. Materials are easy to search, with a variety of filter categories to show only what you need and want to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

Organization -- unless a standardized naming convention for files is in place, large dumps of content can easily get 'lost' if not organized in a standardized manner for everyone involved. Also, ease of use and functionality is limited when sending out reviews to non-Kapost users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very quick way to access collateral "
4/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

In my experience, this has been the quickest and easiest way I've had access to to access sales collateral. Everything is laid out in categories and there is no searching through company intranets, SalesForce, etc then verifying it's up to date. It's simple to go into Kapost, find the category (or search) and then pull up the collateral that is the most recent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

It might just be the way we are integrated, but I wish the collateral through Kapost could be sent through Marketo so we can track the open/clicks in the emails. I was not around when we implemented this, so I don't know if this is possible and we just aren't doing it that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

Kapost allows our team to stay on track through their project management interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

Kapost changed a bunch of features in their content gallery recently and did not give us enough heads up on how this would affect our Salesforce integration. We had to scurry to fix a few things, but it all worked out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for organization of teams and content but still some minor bugs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Upland Kapost?

Kapost, in my mind, has improved our marketing team in two big ways: through their workflow feature and through their very in-depth filtering functionality. Before Kapost, we didn't have a formal way of tracking what stage an asset was at in the workflow, and now it's very easy to see who has seen the document and what has been done. We use the "share task" feature to alert the next person that something needs to be done, and being able to set deadlines in Kapost removes a lot of ambiguity and keeps people on their toes more than informal verbal or email deadlines do.

The filtering is also helpful because we're 5 years into our company and we've started to realize we have A LOT of content created. Now we can easily find things by assigning a myriad of tags, like target audience and difficulty of material.

And finally, in the last week I've really gotten into the habit of emailing Kapost Support, and they are really fast to respond and really friendly people. Katie at Kapost made me a custom video to answer a question I had, and I think it's nice to have such individualized attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?

We've come across several bugs that, while not central to our use of the product, occasionally slow down our process. We really rely on some other packages, like Salesforce, and we're having some issues right now sending certain content types (videos) to Salesforce unless they're embedded. You can't just link to YouTube.

That's a very specific problem, though, but I think they're still in the process of fixing a lot of these more fine-detailed issues. The only major problem is the search functionality isn't as perfect as I would like. You can search by exact phrases only. Since one of the biggest strengths of Kapost as a CMS is how detailed you can get with tagging and filtering, it'd be great if one day the search function can work just as effectively for finding long-lost content.
