## About UpGuard Vendor Risk
UpGuard Vendor Risk is an AI-powered third-party cyber risk management (TPCRM) solution that empowers security teams to eliminate the response gap and take control of their vendor ecosystem. As part of the UpGuard Cyber Risk Posture Management (CRPM) platform, it integrates seamlessly with Breach Risk and User Risk to provide a unified defense against modern cyber threats. As organizations scale, their reliance on third-party vendors expands, creating dangerous blind spots across their supply chain. Traditional assessment methods often rely on point-in-time questionnaires, leaving teams vulnerable to hidden control gaps and unmonitored shifts in a vendor's security posture. Vendor Risk solves this by combining continuous monitoring, AI-powered document analysis, and security questionnaire automation into a single, scalable platform. Key Capabilities: • Continuous Monitoring & Security Ratings: Get a complete picture of your vendor ecosystem. Vendor Risk proactively monitors all your vendors with daily scanning and objective, industry-leading security ratings. Continuous monitoring ensures you are instantly alerted to critical shifts in a vendor's security posture, even between assessments. • AI-Powered Vendor Assessments: Double your assessment speed. UpGuard AI instantly analyzes vendor documentation to uncover control gaps and risks in minutes. It gives you a clear view of which controls are met or failed, the exact risks present, and the actionable remediation steps required—meaning far less evidence chasing. • Security Questionnaire Automation: Move beyond manual spreadsheets. Leverage automation and a complete library of pre-configured questionnaires—including NIST, ISO, SIG, and regional regulations like DORA—to quickly fill any information gaps. Centralized intelligence consolidates vendor communications, cutting manual assessment work by up to 90%. • Reporting & Program Oversight: Scale without limits. Generate accurate, point-in-time risk assessment reports in under a minute using UpGuard AI. With intuitive, one-click reporting, security teams can easily communicate current risks and compliance status to stakeholders like the board or C-Suite. By translating complex third-party risks into objective, quantifiable Security Ratings, UpGuard Vendor Risk enables security leaders to benchmark vendor performance, accelerate onboarding workflows, and confidently prove supply chain risk reduction to the board.

## UpGuard Vendor Risk Reviews
 ### 1. Enhances Security Visibility and Risk Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2023

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I like UpGuard's clear visibility into security risks and third-party exposures through easy-to-understand security ratings. The security ratings make it easy to quickly understand the risk levels without having to analyze raw technical data. They help us prioritize remediation, communicate risk clearly to management and stakeholders, and make faster, more confident decisions about third-party vendors. I also found that initial setup was easy with creating users and setting up the domain to be scanned for vulnerabilities.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

While UpGuard is very effective overall, some findings occasionally require additional validation to confirm relevance and severity. More customization in reporting and deeper contextual detail on certain alerts would further improve prioritization and reduce follow-up effort.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use UpGuard for continuous security posture monitoring and third-party risk management. It gives us visibility into security risks, helps us identify vulnerabilities, reduce manual effort, and prevent security issues. The security ratings simplify risk communication and decision-making.

 ### 2. Painless Onboarding, Proactive Support, and Fast Vendor Additions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim W. | Security Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Where to begin? The onboarding process was painless, especially with the help we received from UpGuard. We’re also on a monthly schedule with a dedicated rep who checks in on our progress, answers questions, and shares the latest updates on the software. If there’s anything he can’t answer directly, he schedules time with an engineer so we can get the right information. Adding new companies to our ever-growing list is about as simple as it gets. Everyone we’ve added so far was already part of UpGuard’s list, and it takes less than five minutes to add them.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

The only issue I have is that creating our own security questionnaires within the platform isn’t very easy. The way we’d like to ask certain specific questions can be difficult to configure. We have a home-built questionnaire that we still continue to use.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard helps us keep track of companies that may have cybersecurity issues, so we can make informed decisions about whether to continue working with them as vendors. We also recently received an email alerting us that several employees’ information had been compromised on a public site. Because of that notification, we were able to reach out to those employees quickly and provide solutions for remediation.

 ### 3. One of the best solution for Proactive Monitoring and Vendor Risk Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

One of the standout features of UpGuard is its security rating system, which provides a clear and insightful evaluation of an organization's cybersecurity posture. This feature is particularly beneficial for assessing third-party vendors, enabling organizations to manage and mitigate risks within their supply chain effectively. The platform's proactive data breach monitoring capabilities are highly valuable, as they allow for early detection and swift response to potential threats.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

The platform may offer limited customization options, which could be a drawback for organizations with unique needs or specific security requirements

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps manage and mitigate risks associated with third-party vendors. By evaluating the cybersecurity posture of vendors, it enables businesses to identify potential vulnerabilities in their supply chain, reducing the risk of data breaches originating from external partners.
The platform continuously monitors for signs of data breaches or leaks, including on the dark web.

 ### 4. Seamless Vendor Management with UpGuard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nitin w. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2026

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

From an operational perspective, UpGuard fits well into daily vendor risk activities. The platform centralizes vendor assessments, external risk monitoring, and breach insights in a single place, which reduces the need to jump between multiple tools.
The risk scoring model is easy to interpret and useful for tracking trends over time, especially when monitoring vendors with changing infrastructure or cloud footprints. The ability to reach out to vendors directly and manage questionnaires at scale saves considerable time compared to manual follow‑ups. Setup was straightforward, and we were able to start onboarding vendors quickly without a steep learning curve.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

The automated scanning that influences risk scores could be more customizable. Adding options for ad‑hoc scans and targeted vulnerability‑specific assessments would improve efficiency and help teams investigate specific vendor risks more effectively.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use UpGuard for vendor management, making it easy to contact vendors and send questionnaires from one platform. It's a one-stop solution for vendor risk management, with risk scores that track vendor risk changes and breach reports that help us quickly respond to data breaches.

 ### 5. UpGuard: A Reliable Partner in Cybersecurity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed A. | Information Technology Security Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

One new aspect I really like about UpGuard is its continuous attack surface monitoring, which provides real-time visibility into exposed assets across the internet. Instead of relying on periodic scans, UpGuard constantly tracks changes, alerting you the moment something becomes publicly visible — such as a misconfigured S3 bucket, expired SSL certificate, or exposed domain.

Another standout is the built-in data leak detection engine. UpGuard scans the web, dark web, GitHub, forums, and paste sites to identify leaked credentials or sensitive information related to your organisation — something traditional security tools often miss.

I also appreciate how UpGuard makes security questionnaires and vendor assessments extremely streamlined. Their questionnaire library, automation, and workflow tools eliminate the repetitive back-and-forth usually required with vendors, improving compliance and reducing friction.

Finally, the platform’s risk rating transparency is impressive. It provides clear, easy-to-understand explanations of every risk factor, how the score is calculated, and recommended fixes — making it easier for both security and non-security teams to take action quickly.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Although UpGuard is a robust platform overall, there are a few areas where it could evolve further:

Greater pricing flexibility: The current pricing structure may pose a barrier for startups and smaller businesses. Offering scaled-down tiers or a modular pricing approach could broaden its accessibility.

Expanded platform customization: While the dashboards are effective, users often seek more in-depth customization options — especially for reporting, risk scoring, and automated workflows — to better align with their internal requirements.

Stronger integration capabilities: Some users face challenges when connecting UpGuard with older systems or specific SIEM/SOAR tools. Broadening its integration options, particularly with plug-and-play solutions, would streamline implementation.

More sophisticated analytics and predictive features: UpGuard delivers solid visibility, but adding advanced analytics — like predictive risk trends or proactive vendor assessments — could enhance strategic planning.

Easier onboarding for advanced features: Despite its intuitive design, some complex functionalities can be difficult to navigate. Embedding more in-product guidance, step-by-step walkthroughs, or interactive tutorials would improve the user experience.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Third-Party Risk Management

Trouble: Organizations face a tough time keeping third-party vendors and partners secure, especially when these organisations heavily rely on external services.

Uses: UpGuard provides a full-stack solution for measuring and managing third-party vendor security. It also identifies the risk of data breaches or security incidents owing to third-parties, which in turn will secure compliance across its supply chain.

Security Monitoring Across the Board

Issue: The dynamic threat environment combined with an absence of timely visibility on security risks can prove to be very complicating.

FEATURE: UpGuard is a tool that detects weaknesses early and on time as long it keeps vigil over the digital footprint of your company.

2. Continuous Security Monitoring
Problem: The threat environment is rapidly changing and having no real-time insight into security risks can be very overwhelming.

Benefit: UpGuard perpetually checks a firm’s digital profile, pointing out vulnerabilities and potential hazards as they emerge. In this way, the proactive approach helps prevent risks before they come up as real threats thus making the overall security better.

 ### 6. A Solid External Attack Surface Management and Third-Party Risk Management Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rupesh S. | Network Security Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

As a rapidly growing telecom company operating in a highly regulated and competitive industry, what we like best about UpGuard is its ability to provide real-time visibility into our third-party risk and external security posture without overwhelming our team.

Telecom environments involve complex vendor ecosystems—from infrastructure providers to cloud and software vendors—and UpGuard’s platform gives us a centralized, easy-to-understand view of each vendor’s cyber risk profile. The automated risk scoring and continuous monitoring allow our security team to stay proactive, which is critical as we scale operations and onboard new partners quickly.

Another standout is the BreachSight feature, which gives us a clear view of our own attack surface. This has been invaluable in identifying misconfigurations or data exposures that could have impacted customer trust or compliance efforts—especially as we expand into new regions and services.

Ultimately, UpGuard allows us to move fast without compromising on security, making it a strategic asset as we grow in a high-risk, high-demand sector.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Limited Real-time Detection & Response
UpGuard is primarily a security ratings and risk posture management platform, not a full-fledged SIEM or EDR. Telecom environments require real-time threat detection and incident response, which UpGuard does not natively provide.

Surface-level Visibility for Internal Assets
While excellent at assessing external attack surfaces, it may not offer deep visibility into internal networks, devices, or telecom infrastructure (routers, switches, transmission elements, etc.) unless tightly integrated with other tools.

Customization Limitations
Telecom companies often have custom applications, configurations, and regulatory needs. UpGuard’s templated approach to vendor risk assessments and reports might lack flexibility in adapting to such unique use cases.

Dependency on Third-party Data
For threat intelligence and scoring, UpGuard often relies on external data sources. This can cause delays in reflecting newly discovered threats, which is risky in a dynamic telecom threat landscape.

Limited Native Integration with Telecom-specific Systems
UpGuard doesn’t offer strong out-of-the-box integrations with telecom OSS/BSS, AAA, NSP, or network probes, requiring additional effort or custom API development.

Licensing Costs Can Escalate
For a growing telecom company with hundreds of vendors and expanding infrastructure, costs can scale quickly, especially if trying to monitor third-party risks and internal asset posture extensively.

Not a One-stop Solution
While good for cyber hygiene, third-party risk management, and compliance checks, it still requires supplementary tools (like DNIF SIEM, PAM, EDR, etc.) to cover the entire cybersecurity framework.

Summary:
For an upcoming telecom company, UpGuard is great for vendor risk visibility and external posture, but falls short for internal network security, real-time monitoring, and telecom-specific integrations. It should be part of a broader security ecosystem, not the core.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems UpGuard is Solving for Our Telecom Organization:
Third-party Vendor Risk Visibility

Problem: We work with a large number of external partners and service providers (e.g., OEMs, cloud vendors, NOC/SOC vendors) — making third-party risk a serious concern.

UpGuard Solution: It provides automated security ratings, breach monitoring, and risk insights for all our vendors in one dashboard.

Benefit: We're able to proactively flag high-risk vendors, prioritize follow-ups, and make smarter decisions before onboarding or renewing contracts — strengthening our supply chain security posture.

Continuous External Attack Surface Monitoring

Problem: As a telecom company with public-facing infrastructure, exposed IPs, misconfigured services, and forgotten subdomains pose real risks.

UpGuard Solution: UpGuard scans our public attack surface continuously to identify open ports, expired certs, DNS issues, and vulnerabilities.

Benefit: This gives us early warnings and helps the team fix exposures before they can be exploited, reducing reputational and regulatory risks.

Compliance Readiness (especially for DoT, CERT-IN guidelines)

Problem: Meeting compliance requirements like DoT directives, cybersecurity audits, and ISO standards requires ongoing hygiene and evidence.

UpGuard Solution: It helps document our cyber hygiene practices, vendor risk assessments, and security ratings in an audit-friendly format.

Benefit: We've cut down manual effort and improved our audit readiness for regulatory reviews or client due diligence.

Monitoring Data Leaks and Credential Exposures

Problem: Leaked credentials and exposed data can silently damage the brand and security — especially through social engineering or credential stuffing.

UpGuard Solution: Alerts us when our company domains, email IDs, or credentials appear in breaches or leaks.

Benefit: Helps us respond fast — e.g., force password resets, alert users, and avoid reputational loss.

Centralized Reporting and Cyber Risk Communication

Problem: CISOs and security leads often struggle to translate technical risks into business-level insights for management or the board.

UpGuard Solution: Provides intuitive risk scores, trends, and reports that can be used to communicate cyber risk effectively.

Benefit: Enables better decision-making at the leadership level and helps justify budgets or process changes with data.

In Summary:
UpGuard is helping us build a stronger cybersecurity posture across vendors and exposed assets, while making compliance smoother and cyber risk more visible. This directly supports our goals of resilience, audit readiness, and operational trust as we scale.

 ### 7. Reliable partner for vendor risk clarity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio P. | Security Program Specialist , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard gives me a single place to see the real risk picture without having to chase vendors for information. The automated questionnaires, security ratings, and continuous monitoring make third party reviews smoother and a lot more consistent. It saves time, keeps everything organized, and brings clarity to conversations that used to be non-existent.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Some of the reporting views feel a little rigid. What’s there works, but a bit more flexibility around customizing dashboards and exporting insights would make it even easier to translate findings for leadership.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helping remove guesswork from vendor risk assessments. Instead of juggling spreadsheets or waiting on email chains, I can see security posture, questionnaire progress, and risks in one place. That reduces review cycles, improves transparency with vendors, and helps us stay ahead of issues instead of reacting to them.

 ### 8. Practical, comprehensive and trusted cybersecurity platform for modern businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris G. | Technology Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

We’ve been using UpGuard for over a year, and it has become an essential part of our cybersecurity and vendor risk management processes. The platform strikes the perfect balance between ease of use and depth of insight — we can quickly assess our own security posture and that of our vendors, track improvements over time, and demonstrate our security maturity to clients with confidence.

The interface is intuitive, reports are well-structured, and the automation around risk questionnaires and continuous monitoring saves a huge amount of time. We’ve also found their support team to be responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us meet our compliance obligations.

UpGuard has helped us streamline our security governance, demonstrate compliance with APRA CPS 234, and improve transparency across our supply chain. I’d highly recommend it to any organisation wanting a practical, well-supported cybersecurity risk management solution.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

There’s not much to fault, but some of the risk questionnaire templates could be a little more customisable, and occasional false positives appear in the continuous monitoring results. Neither are deal-breakers — they’re minor areas for refinement in an otherwise excellent platform.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard helps us monitor and manage cybersecurity risks across our own environment and our third-party vendors. It simplifies compliance with frameworks like APRA CPS 234 by giving us continuous visibility of our security posture, automated alerts for issues, and clear reporting for audits and client due diligence. This saves significant time, reduces manual effort, and gives our stakeholders confidence that risks are being proactively managed.

 ### 9. Dependable and Powerful Security Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karn S. | Director - Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard provides excellent visibility into security posture across vendors and internal systems. Its continuous monitoring, automated risk scoring, and easy-to-understand dashboards make assessing and managing cyber risks simple and efficient. The platform also streamlines compliance workflows, saving significant time for IT and security teams.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Some features, such as advanced customization and detailed remediation workflows, could be more flexible. The initial configuration may require guidance, and report exports sometimes need additional formatting for executive presentations.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard is solving the challenge of identifying, monitoring, and mitigating cybersecurity risks across vendors and internal systems. It automates third-party risk assessments, continuously scans for vulnerabilities, and provides actionable insights to improve overall security posture. This helps ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001 and GDPR while reducing manual effort in risk tracking. The biggest benefit is improved visibility and faster response to potential threats, allowing teams to proactively manage risks and maintain trust with clients and partners.

 ### 10. Reliable Solution for Third-Party Security Assessments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard provides a structured and centralized approach to third-party vendor risk assessments. The platform makes it easy to distribute questionnaires, track responses, and maintain documentation in one place.

I particularly appreciate the standardized templates, automated follow-ups, and dashboard visibility, which significantly improve efficiency compared to manual email-based reviews. The ability to monitor vendor security posture externally is also valuable for ongoing risk oversight.

Overall, it improves transparency, audit readiness, and accountability in vendor management.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

At times, the questionnaires can feel lengthy for vendors, which may slow response times. Some customization options (especially around reporting formats or internal scoring logic) could be more flexible.

Additionally, clearer change-tracking or summary views for updates would further improve usability for teams managing a high volume of vendors.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard helps us manage third-party vendor risk in a structured, documented, and auditable manner. Instead of tracking vendor assessments manually across spreadsheets and emails, we now have centralized visibility over:

Vendor security posture

Questionnaire completion status

Risk ratings and remediation tracking

Supporting documentation storage

This improves compliance oversight, reduces operational risk, and saves significant time during internal reviews and audits. It also strengthens governance by ensuring consistent vendor evaluation standards across the organization.

 ### 11. Effortlessly Manage Vendor Risks with UpGuard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2022

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I really appreciate UpGuard's intuitive user interface; it makes it incredibly quick and easy to monitor new vendors. The platform provides an easy-to-understand score that is broken down into components, which simplifies the assessment of vendor risk management. I find the security questionnaires particularly valuable as they allow for effective tracking of vendors' policies and certifications. UpGuard's ability to handle security questionnaires for vendors housing sensitive data ensures that they meet essential compliance standards like SOC 2 Type 2. Additionally, the initial setup of UpGuard was very easy, which was a pleasant surprise.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I find the bulk notification feature for identity breaches somewhat inadequate. It currently lacks the ability to customize messages with specific templates or personalize them with the user's first and last names, rather than using a generic email. Additionally, the notifications could be more informative by providing the users with specific steps they can take following a security breach to help them manage the situation more effectively.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find UpGuard invaluable for vendor risk management, ensuring security compliance and easy tracking with intuitive monitoring and security questionnaires. It simplifies verifying SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, crucial for our operations.

**Official Response from Sander Buitelaar:**

> It's great to hear that UpGuard's user interface is easy to use. We will pass along the feedback to our product team about bulk notifying your users.

Thanks for the review!

 ### 15. Well-Round TPRM Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard has an easy-to-navigate UI, with lots of great features. It makes monitoring vendor security straightforward and allows you to see where their metrics stand at a glance. It has useful alerts regarding incidents, breaches, etc. that allow you to stay current with vendors and the industry as a whole. The questionnaire module is easy to use and allows for good customization. Also love the incorporation of AI for filling out questionnaires, makes vendors much more likely to fill them out properly. The customer service is prompt and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I would like to see customizable dashboards (e.g., graphs, charts) of vendor metrics. While the incident alerts are useful, I would like there to be an incident flow - e.g., the ability to open up an issue or similar object to track the actions taken for a given vendor incident.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard helps with providing a holistic view of vendor management; not just the technical details (e.g., vulns) but also the vendor questionnaires, criticality, etc. It has a good level of built-in features that are customizable enough to integrate/adapt existing processes.

UpGuard has introduced AI-powered questionnaire autofill, AI-risk assessment tools, multiple Trust Centers, and enhanced workflows for faster, smarter vendor risk management.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard could improve by offering deeper integration with third-party tools and more customizable reporting dashboards for advanced analytics.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Few of the domains are not automatically scanning through UpGuard. so, we raised support to UpGuard and resolve this issue.

 ### 17. Accelerates our deal cycles by automating security trust

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

UpGuard helps us prove our security posture instantly, or helps you vet vendors quickly so you can get back to selling,

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

While the standard reports are great, I sometimes wish for more granular customization when exporting PDF reports for specific client stakeholders.

As a salesperson, my favorite feature is the 'Trust Exchange.' It allows us to proactively share our security posture with prospects. Instead of filling out endless spreadsheets/questionnaires for every deal, we can just point them to our UpGuard profile. It significantly speeds up the 'Security Review' stage of our sales pipeline

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I like best about UpGuard is its comprehensive and easy-to-understand view of our external security posture

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

Some of the risk alerts can be too generic or lack context, which may lead to manual validation efforts. The platform’s customization options for regional or business-specific reporting are limited. Additionally, deeper integration with internal tools (like ticketing or SIEM systems) would enhance workflow automation.

 ### 19. Elevating Digital Security to New Heights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca S. | Member of the list of Legal Expert in New Technologies , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

I appreciate how UpGuard makes security monitoring effortless, especially through its automated scans and continuous monitoring features, which have proven invaluable in identifying vulnerabilities in our systems. For example, during a routine audit, UpGuard flagged a misconfiguration in our Provider's cloud storage settings that could have exposed sensitive data. This allowed us to address the issue proactively before any harm occurred.

The user-friendly interface is another standout feature. For instance, the dashboard provides clear and actionable insights, enabling me to prioritize and resolve security issues efficiently. Despite not having an extensive background in cybersecurity, I have been able to configure and manage security protocols independently, which has significantly streamlined our workflows.

**What do you dislike about UpGuard Vendor Risk?**

One aspect of UpGuard that could be improved is the complexity of its customization options. While having many settings is beneficial for tailoring the platform, it can sometimes be overwhelming to navigate through all the choices. For users without in-depth technical expertise, it may take time to fully understand how to configure the platform for specific needs, which could hinder efficiency in certain scenarios.

**What problems is UpGuard Vendor Risk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UpGuard helps us reduce risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Its continuous scanning for vulnerabilities allows us to address security issues before they become serious problems. This not only strengthens our security but also helps us stay compliant with standards like GDPR and ISO 27001. Additionally, UpGuard’s automated monitoring and reporting features save us time by simplifying the process of identifying and fixing issues, ultimately improving our overall risk management.
