## WeWork Reviews
  ### 1. Long-term member. Real experience. Read before you sign.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikita R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The physical spaces are well designed and comfortable for working. Individual location community staff are often genuinely helpful and go above and beyond despite the limitations of the broader organization. The network of locations across cities is convenient in principle, and the original vision of building a community around independent workers and startups was something truly special that drew many of us in the first place.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Where to begin. Support tickets go unanswered for weeks. Escalation emails are ignored. When I experienced a technical issue that left me unable to use my membership for nearly two weeks, missing important business calls in the process, the support infrastructure simply failed to function.
Beyond support, benefits have been steadily and quietly reduced over the years — conference room credits cut, locations closed, each change communicated as if it were somehow good news for members.
Most seriously: I signed a 12-month renewal contract through WeWork's own official member portal. The contract was fully executed with signatures from both parties on the same date. WeWork refused to honor it, citing an internal system error, and pressured me into signing a replacement contract at a higher rate. My only alternative was losing access entirely. I signed under protest solely to maintain access for my business. A signed contract being unilaterally voided by the party that generated it — with no legal basis provided — is not something any member should have to experience.
During COVID, WeWork strictly enforced contracts when members asked for flexibility. When their own system produces a contract that benefits the member, suddenly the rules change. That double standard speaks for itself.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Do your research before signing anything. Search Reddit for WeWork reviews from real members — what you'll find there paints a much more complete picture than any marketing material or sales conversation will.
Read every word of your contract carefully and understand that WeWork's support infrastructure may not be there when you actually need it. If something goes wrong — access issues, billing disputes, technical problems — be prepared to spend significant time resolving it yourself with little help from the company.
If you do sign, keep copies of every document, every email, and every contract. You may need them.
Consider alternatives. The coworking market has matured significantly and there are many operators who still treat members as partners rather than liabilities. WeWork's brand recognition comes at a cost that goes beyond the monthly fee.
If WeWork is your only realistic option for your location, go in with realistic expectations — the spaces are functional, some local staff are excellent, but the company behind them has demonstrated repeatedly that member interests come second to its own. The bankruptcy filing and stock market delisting are not isolated events — they reflect a deeper organizational culture that has consequences for every member who depends on the service.
WeWork had a real opportunity to build something lasting. That opportunity was not taken. You deserve to know that before you sign.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Long-term member. Real experience. Read before you sign.

I've been a WeWork member for several years, both as part of a company and individually. I'm sharing my honest experience to help others make a more informed decision before signing up.

Support:
Earlier this year a technical issue left me unable to access my membership for nearly two weeks. Support tickets and escalation emails went completely unanswered. I missed important business calls during this time. The only person who genuinely tried to help was one community lead at this location — the broader support system simply doesn't work.

Contract dispute:
I signed a 12-month renewal through WeWork's own official member portal. The contract was fully executed — signed by both me and a WeWork representative on the same date. WeWork then refused to honor it, claiming it was generated in error by their own internal system. With no legal basis provided, I was pressured into signing a new contract at a higher rate. My only alternative was losing access entirely. I signed under protest solely to keep my business running.

Benefits:
Benefits have been quietly reduced year after year. Conference room credits dropped from 5 to 3, announced as if it were a positive change. Locations members depended on have been closed with little notice. Every change is presented as progress while the membership becomes worth less and less.

The pattern:
During COVID, WeWork strictly enforced contracts when members asked for flexibility. When their own system produces a contract that benefits the member, suddenly it doesn't apply. That double standard is something every prospective member should know before signing anything.

Before you sign:
Search Reddit for WeWork reviews from real members before making your decision. What I experienced is not unique — it's a pattern repeated across many locations and many members.
A note on WeWork's response to this review:
I already know what's coming — an automated reply asking me to contact support or email support@wework.com. I did. Multiple times. It didn't help. That automated response to a real human problem is itself the perfect example of what WeWork has become — a corporation that replaced genuine engagement with auto-replies and accountability with deflection.

A personal note:
What makes this genuinely sad is remembering what WeWork once was. In its early days it was a special place — a real community built around startups, creativity, and human connection. People didn't just rent desks, they built companies and friendships here. That energy was real and it was valuable.
The trajectory since then speaks for itself — delisted from the stock market, bankruptcy filing, and a membership experience in steady decline. One has to wonder whether treating members as partners rather than problems might have led to a very different outcome. WeWork had real trust once. It chose to spend it.

  ### 2. Very cool service, but the app leaves a lot to be desired

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian N. | Company Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2024

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The biggest upside of WeWork is the flexibility it allows in booking.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

The biggest downside has been issues with using the app.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Do it, but bear in mind the app is quite lackluster.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WeWork is allowing us to work from great offices in central London. WeWork solves offices for us, as well as it enables us to be far more flexible.

  ### 3. Nice Locations and Easy App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Sebastian U. | Solutions Engineering Manager (PreSales LATAM), Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2023

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The design of the locations, IT facilities, flexibility and availability of the locations around the world. In some cases and some locations are great on the events and promotions they bring to their users. That's a key if they want to differentiate from other coworking businesses.

Thinks I like: Customer Support, Ease of use.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Some times the place is crowded in the All Access floors and again, they don't seem to control very well the visitors entrances or exit so other uses abuse the system and let other visitors to use the facilities as if they were members without charging credits or paying fines.

Thinks I don't like: Low control on invitees taking advantage on the meetings reservations perk to have all day access to WeWork offices. Kind of a fenomena I see in many locations in Colombia.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Look out for the promotions and evaluate if it is the right fit for your team, the service is not cheap but will depend on the budget and quality you expect.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In Colombia in particular as an All Access User I see a lot of other users abusing of their membership to enter visitors for al day. Neeed to improve and control vetter the visitors entrance and stay on the sites.

  ### 4. Incredibly Convenient and Positive All Access Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chun Fung Kevin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2023

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Wide availability of spaces at all hours to book (in NYC) and consistent user experience across all locations.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Instability with current business viability - very unsure as to the long term reliability given current business health.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible high quality work space that does not require user maintenance.

  ### 5. Really terrible policy about changing existing reservations

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Flexibility booking a desk and having phone booths to work in. I also like their cold brew coffee on tap and the number of spaces they have in New York City.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

The cutomer service is very hit or miss--I like them in person, but online they're really terrible. Again, I hate their policy not allowing changes to reservations.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

If you need to use them, they're adequate, but don't expect much if you have trouble with their booking systems.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WeWork has been fine regarding getting a space in an office last minute, but they have a terrible policy if you end up booking the wrong day--even after misclicking, there's no recourse to adjust the booking you made. The customer service has also been really unhelpful and just hung up on me mid-sentence.

  ### 6. Open space, great tech, super clean

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

I love the friendly staff and how clear it is that they care about the space and make it a clean and welcoming environment for the companies that rent the space out.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

It would be nice if there was a communal table for lunch so that people can get together with people who they might not know to get something to eat together and chat!

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Make sure to take advantage of the kitchen, and grab some free snacks while you work

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WeWork in New York is so clean and has monitors on every desk, the open floor plan lends itself to a collaborative environment and the tall ceilings keep you from feeling pent up. The kitchen area is frequently tended to thought-out the day and is never dirty.

  ### 7. Good option for needed meeting space

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Use flex meeting rooms for various meetings throughout the year.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The ability to book and use meeting rooms as needed. With the monthly membership, it is nice to be able to have a professional and tech equipped space for needed in person meetings.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

The person with the membership (and card) needs to be present. For a company that needs meeting spaces for many employees, this can be a hassel. It would be great if all employees are covered under the membership.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a remote company, flex meeting space is a much needed item. WeWork has been a good solution for the occasional needed in person meeting with other employees and clients as well.

  ### 8. Worst share office I've been

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cuiting W. | 首席运营官, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2021

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The fact that we can meet other people from other companies, expanding the network.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

The system of wework and the staffs there is not necessary the best, because they lack of understanding of their members, mostly when they say something and they would deny it themselves when they don't like to. When problems occurs, they are not really helpful.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't solved anything with wework, in fact I realized, as a service company, when they don't serve their members well and charge people with such overprice rent, while there are so many other options out there. I hope they survive.

  ### 9. Wework in THAILAND is a joke/terrible

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

First, they say they return your full deposit but don't pay for the wire fees so you don't get your entire deposit back.

Second, hit you with late charges without prior notice.

Clear that they are nickeling and diming you to get as much money as possible.

We terminated our agreement after one year and moving somewhere else.

They will prob delete this post, will be posting on various other sites as well.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Nothing that comes to mind and there were no adv

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

See above-- we barely got our deposit back

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Don't use Wework Thailand

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

WeWork is where a company I worked with held a large amount of their meetings and customer service staff. It's beautiful, clean, and a great place to be productive.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

I love the design and the apparent community about the place.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

It's a bit hard parking-wise because of the location, but the location makes sense.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

It's a lovely place! Would highly recommend to book for personal work or group meetings.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WeWork allowed our large team to celebrate the beginning of a work season with comfort and a great aesthetic.

WeWork served as an office for our budding startup.

Its great for quick service renting. Renting a space can be hard and timely, but WeWork makes it easy and fast.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

They have good advice and timely service.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

They can definitely improve their customer service and they’re prices are a little too high.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We spend less time and energy looking at renting options.

  ### 16. I can't say enough good things about WeWork!!!

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Sometimes it's a bit loud especially when there are events going on.

**What problems is WeWork solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding a place to get work done. I am one of those people who can't focus at home.

  ### 17. Great community, amazing common spaces, cramped offices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim H. | Co-Founder, Co-CEO & COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Monthly office rental for small business

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The common areas are amazing overall, some locations better than others. They always have a lot of events going on with free breakfast of some kind on Monday mornings. We host a monthly marketing meetup there and they help promote it. They also provide a lot of great benefits (discounts, etc) which can help with recruiting. They have a pantry called the Honesty Market with snacks for sale at reasonable (for NYC) prices. The community staff are very helpful. The conference rooms are good but inconsistent, some missing phones, TVs or whiteboards.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

The offices are very very small. The price you pay is really for the common space and the community. If you think it terms of square footage, it's outrageous. Many people don't know how to behave in small offices and can make a lot of noise. Supposedly we are not allowed to block the windows but that rule is never enforced so it can feel like you are working in a tunnel sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Worth it for the community and common areas, as well as attracting younger employees, but not for the minimal space you get.

  ### 18. short term it's ok, but not quite for those who need privacy and focus

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher D. | Partner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2018

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Having an affordable temporary office in a different part of the country was very helpful. The month-to-month relationship was great and amenities were nice. There are a variety of options which were also good to help as I returned to main, home-office and could maintain some benefits of membership

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Coffee, beer and kabumcha, use of meeting rooms, great app and website to make bookings easy and fast, high speed internet

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

price, and locations were ok, however the layouts were often cramped and it made it hard to focus as the clear glass walls were not good for sound or privacy.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

be sure to spend some time in them before really making the commitment for a desk if it isn't your style or it's too hard to focus, but month-to-month plans there really isn't anything bad about trying it out.

  ### 19. Collaborative Space and Fun Environment To Be In

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Having my own space to work in so I can get more done and have a home away from home; provides desks, chairs, space, and an environment for other people to work in.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The space is open, friendly, and there's always a great vibe in the environment; I never had any problems with this space at all and I only moved due to a move in my geographic location. I would only say that the offices could benefit from being even bigger with more room to move; that's it!!!

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

To be honest, there was nothing that I really disliked about the company or the space - my ONLY suggestion would be to get MORE offices in locations in the areas that are not metropolitan. For example, there is a New York City and Boston location but there are no locations in the areas that are close to there but not metropolitan (i.e. the Jersey Shore area). This market would also greatly appreciate a product like this, trust me!!

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

If you want a space that can be shared and do not mind the environment where it is more talkative, then COME HERE. You will not regret it!!!

  ### 20. I've been to nearly all the WeWork's in DC...and it totally depends on your location

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2018

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

WeWork staff is all super nice...so that's cool. Even after an old colleague was not very nice to them, they remained very composed. It all depends on what location your at if things will work like you want, though. The older locations tend to have more issues. Each location has a different "vibe" some are very low key while others are more suit-and-tie. The best view of DC, I've seen other than atop the Washington Monument is from the WeWork White House.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

That nitro coffee, baby! Also the nap rooms and being able to move around the city!

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

There's a different feel for each one...and things like air conditioning were INSANE at some locations. Omg so cold.

  ### 21. Great for Small Teams without Projected Growth

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2018

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

WeWork was a good solution when it was 3 people on our team. As we grow, it's been hard to find the right amenities for a team of 10+ people.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Staff is very friendly and courteous. Young/hip vibe

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

It's not private at all (difficult working with NDAs). The ops staff does not clean very often. Hard to book conference rooms.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Great for teams of 5 or fewer

  ### 22. WeWork is awesome

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlin O. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Their conference rooms are wonderful. The spaces include A/V gear and delightful details like custom wallpaper and marble tables.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

They have excellent front-desk service. They cover the cost of utilities. They provide refreshments.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

They have no Canada locations, but hopefully they will expand. They are available in many locations throughout the USA.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

I recommend expanding to Canada.

  ### 23. Cool concept, will be interested to see how it adapts and grows

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Provides us with a working space that makes sense for our small, mostly remote staff. Gives us a physical location and address, which makes things so much easier for tax and insurance purposes, and gives us the space to store physical things, like documents, etc.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Having a physical address, having a space to store stuff, having a central point of meeting, or home base for staff members and partners.

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Lots of gimmick with some real problems… Sometimes slow, unreliable internet; often the open, shared environment can be too loud; don't love that people who bring dogs don't keep eye on them; phone booths are often full; reserving conference space isn't easy on sight, has lots of glitches.

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Would recommend if you work from home!

  ### 24. Pricey, but great for networking/community

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin B. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Besides the obvious use for startups that don't have their own spaces, coworking spaces like WeWork are ideal for remote work. Sometimes it really just requires actually getting out of the house to be productive

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

WeWork is the most mature of the various coworking networks, and as such has been able to focus recently on community and networking. This is definitely helpful for building connections in the tech industry (and make no mistake, it's *all* tech industry)

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

WeWork is expensive. Coworking spaces in general aren't cheap, but most have more accessible plans than WeWork

  ### 25. Great Value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

Locations in all the major cities and 24/7 access

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The 24/7 access, fast wireless internet, professional environment, networking events, and amenities

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Workspace community is dominated by employees with a 9-5 corporate culture

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

WeWork is a great place to get work done in a professional environment

  ### 26. We Do Really Work There !!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

As I was looking for a nice a cosy place to work, I stumbled upon WeWork in Montreal... And now I want to visit all of the around the world :)

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The environment, cosy, comfy ... and they got tea !

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Not enough of them :)
Maybe offer more plans/prices

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Try it in your city and see by yourself !

  ### 27. Modern fun well-situated co-working

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**Describe the project or task WeWork helped with:**

When starting my recent startup, WeWork was the perfect 'office space' - great location and facilities, and allowed the flexibility to move between co-working space to a dedicated desk to our own office and back again depending on the staff or partners I had as we built and pivoted. Nice team, great resources.

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

The flexibility of being able to scale your space up and down and the on-hand facilities (conference rooms, coffee etc)

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

There really wasn't anything I disliked except for some billing errors which were resolved.

  ### 28. Great, comfortable place to get work done

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Venture Capital & Private Equity | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Ability to work from multiple offices--across locations and even cities

**What do you like best about WeWork?**

Makes it easy to find a place to work at a moment's notice, regardless of where I am

**What do you dislike about WeWork?**

Pretty great solution considering alternatives

**Recommendations to others considering WeWork:**

Great for a modern, flexible working environment

  ### 29. Nice place to work but very loud
