The strength of Dell EMC, as a whole, is its proactive support, whenever there is a problem in unity (not that there is very often) the Dell EMC support team proactively contact us and help us with the solution. or repair. Now, speaking of the equipment itself, I can say that its strengths are: simplicity of configuration, friendly interface, high tierization intelligence, providing a very attractive data availability and volumes for the different functions in which we use it. Investing in on-premise storage has always been expensive, greatly impacting TCO, and is now much more evident with cloud storage-as-a-service solutions. This type of equipment needs official support, so, even after purchasing the product for an already high price, we still have to evaluate the investment in support up to the EOL, in our case. Recommendations to others considering Unity XT: Evaluate whether the investment in on-premise storage pays off for your business or is it more advantageous to hire a cloud storage solution.
