Dislike everything else about the product. Updates break stuff constantly. Restore process isnt easy

Appliance GUI isnt very good

What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

OK pricing and their support personnel seemed knowledgeable and familiar with their own products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

The implementation of the software was clumsy and unrefined, lacking correct documentation and requiring extensive manual overrides via text editors with support assistance. Backup resource requirements were double industry standards, resulting in a larger-than-expected footprint. Although the configuration GUI was functional, restoring a VM required the exact same OS on the host server, posing significant logistical and/or financial challenges for test environments or those with multiple OS editions. We never got WORM to operate correctly despite assistance from product support.

The limitations led us to opt for an alternative product due to poor implementation and failed recovery tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

Unitrends provides a very intuitive interface for backup and recovery solutions. It is easy to setup, review, and manage. The platform is very solid, with regular updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

Kaseya, ever since Kaseya acquired Unitrends the support platform seems to have changed to offshore support. They used to offer fast helpful support over the phone with a quick 1 minute verification, and now there is twenty-to-thirty minutes of verifying whether our account has paid for support, then finally speaking to a person whos english is not their first, or even second language. What do you like best about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

There's a fair amount of control and granular capabilities. Daily reports (or other intervals if wanted).

Ability to dump to external media if desired(USB dock).

There's a decent variety of backup options and configurations that one can configure.

Best practice for having an on-site backup is nice. The ability to export to eternal and/or cloud upload rounds out the whole best-practice scenario.

We're looking into more cloud-based soltuions for off-site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unitrends Backup and Recovery?

Reports and information regarding jobs and failures aren't as clear and concise as they could be.

I would prefer better pricing and additional 3rd-party integration for Cloud backup.

The interface has been improving but still could be simplified/more intuitive for schedule configuration.
