"Solid Platform and Excellent Team"

What do you like best?

Our project manager keeps us informed and we work together from a consistent roadmap of development.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally, communicating with the part of the dev team overseas can be challenging due to time differences and some dialect barriers. Overall, however, they do an excellent job.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

CIMM2 is constantly upgrading/innovating based on user feedback. To maximize the value out of your implementation, you need to stay in contact with your product manager and open cases for each small detail. Unilog is good about staying up with cases, but if it's not in the case system, it may or may not be addressed in a timely manner.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are implementing CIMM2 as a completely new out-of-the-box eCommerce platform. We have introduced some significant modifications, and our ERP was challenging to connect to. However, the dev team has worked hard along with our ERP provider to overcome these challenges and get us into open beta.

"My experience with Unilog CIMM2"

What do you like best?

I like the easy platform that is maneuverable in so many ways. It allows me to do multiple tasks at ones while i'm doing my daily job. The layout is a huge upgrade from the original platform.

What do you dislike?

Well like my first comment on being able to do multiple task, you do have to be taught where to go and it's not always easy to do that is really the only downside.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I can't speak for other platforms because this is the only one I have used but, I have nothing to complain about Unilog CIMM. They are always developing with the times and being ahead of the curve in industries. It is a great and continuously developing system.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It makes running our website a lot easier.

What E-Commerce Platforms solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!

"Robust, Growing Platform"

What do you like best?

The PIM and product management tools are top-notch when it comes to creating and maintaining an ecommerce catalog. The customer and user management tools are also quite impressive and effective. Overall, the platform has most (if not all) the major features that you would expect to see, and Unilog does a great job of providing timely support on any issues that arise. Though I have some dislikes listed below, I've seen Unilog take steps and build/revamp features to address the community-wide concerns, which is a major plus.

What do you dislike?

There's a very steep learning curve for the platform, and many seemingly simple actions require difficult or complex processes to execute (user-friendliness is a major weakness here). The CMS is also quite poor relative to the other platforms on the market - the page designer is nearly unusable, and accessibility to front-end site management features leaves much to be desired. Plug-and-play integration with other software solutions is seemingly non-existent at this time.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Given the steep learning curve, a robust internal team of resources is required to fully learn and utilize all that CIMM2 has to offer. If you choose to proceed, you'll need to have internal stakeholders dedicated to mastering the depth of the platform.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

CIMM2 gives our ecommerce team everything we need to adequately manage our website. From maintaining an active, growing product catalog to creating new static pages, we can access and modify nearly anything on our site within a few clicks. CIMM2 has truly served as the bridge that allowed our company to get a modern ecommerce website off the ground.

"Bulky with little documentation and slow support"

What do you like best?

I do think CIMM2 is comprehensive, in the sense that it gives you all the fields you need to manage users, customers, and items on your website. If you were to try and do this on your own you'd need a pretty robust set of in-house tools. If you are managing a site with a small team, this would be a great product as long as you can get documentation to show you what everything is and how to use it.

What do you dislike?

It's bulky, often slow, and there is so little documentation that knowing how to do something usually involves a phone call to support - which sometimes takes weeks for a follow-up. For example, we had coupons enabled on the website on 7/11/2017, and I was only just given the proper demonstration/documentation to use this feature yesterday on 9/11/2017. We have this same problem almost every time we want to add something on.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Make sure you get comprehensives demos during go-live, and write your own documentation for internal users. This will ensure a much smoother transition than we had, and your ability to use all the comprehensive features the product does offer.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Product and subset management, and user roles/approvers are the biggest "wins" for us. Besides that, just being a storage for the enriched content, and we are about to implement the indesign catalog creator which will save our graphic designer a great deal of time.

"CIMM2 has come a long way, with a long way yet to go"

What do you like best?

It's a very robust platform, with lots of features, attributes, and options. The support is good, and when you go live with a site on CIMM2, you do get support with regular follow-up calls.

What do you dislike?

There have been a lot of issues with our site, and lots of support cases since go-live. Some basic things do not work great or work as expected, including search functionality, page editing, and general product setup. Many things within the platform are not as intuitive as they should be. Many features are missing or need to be set-up by developers rather than just turned on. There are a lot of features we see in CIMM that are not available to us, or do not work the way that they appear they should. We have had numerous issues and have solved many, but it's an ongoing challenge.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Hold off go-live until you are 100% comfortable with the site. Test the site/software as soon as possible in the process.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

CIMM2 did allow us to put a lot more data out on our site, and the site is far superior to our old site.

"A good Product to work with"

What do you like best?

It's an all around easy company to work with. for the most part the product is easy to figure out once you get in and mess around with it. If you have trouble figuring something out the staff is very good to help you. Also the new platform is a lot easier to use, it does have some glitches but a lot better with the upgrade to Touch

What do you dislike?

We have gone live with the CIMMTouch and the issue i seem to have with this upgrade is there are some glitches in it. We have raised this to the attention of Unilog. Other then that it is pretty good.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have never been into writing a E-page until this job came available at my work. When using it, it makes it so easy to do. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. With the upgrade to CIMM Touch platform it has made the back end of my job a lot easier.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software has really helped us break through with our company getting into the Internet sells. as stated before a lot more can be done with the update to the Touch Platform

"Flipping to the SIMM2 Platform"

What do you like best?

We are in the middle of the rollover. The new platform out of the box fixes 13 critical improvements that our old legacy site lacked. So far so good. We tested the new search engine extensively and the performance will allow us to drop our 3rd party search engine.

What do you dislike?

Things could always move faster with the rollover.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Come try our site when we go live at the end of December 2018.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The largest is guest checkout, also improved PIMM and improved search. Overall we should have a much lower ROI.

"Powerful, easy to use, feature rich e-commerce solution"

What do you like best?

The software works; right out of the "box". This is the first major software implementation where the software did what was expected (demo'd). The implementation time was weeks, not months or even years. The technical support is outstanding and the entire support team (that I have had contact with) are knowledgeable, or even experts, in the software and even in our industry. We can comfortably say that we have a world class e-commerce solution to offer our customers.

What do you dislike?

As an e-commerce solution, catalog, and PIM it is outstanding. As a web design piece it lags a bit behind other well know tools (WordPress, Adobe, etc.). As such there are some limitations to the design of static webpages - unless you know html programming (which I do not). My understanding though is that the newest version is much better. We recently reviewed this version and are looking forward to our upgrade.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are evaluating CIMM (or any other e-commerce platform) ask them to show you how to do what you do today. in other words after the canned presentation ask them to walk through some of your real world example and how it would be done in their system. Ask them to add one of your items and one of your categories. These are some of the items that convinced us this would be a success here.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The PIM provides a robust set of tools for maintaining item information. Import and export utilities are simple yet powerful so mass updates are not only possible but easy. Because the backend is so easy to use we can quickly train new team members to work inside the software.

The catalog tools and features are first rate. This allows us to provide an excellent user experience to our customers.

The SEO is very good without much user interaction. Items frequently show up in Google searches.

"Best Platform Value & ROI"

What do you like best?

The amount of functionality and features Unilog provides compares with platforms that cost 5x the amount.

What do you dislike?

A future enhancement that enables open source modules or other external integrations that customers can develop in house, or with other third parties, would be a great benefit. Although Unilog's team is great, you are locked in to using only their consultants.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I've never seen a better eCommerce platform for the money. There is virtually nothing you cannot do, especially if you're flexible and willing to invest in minor customizations for your specific needs or differentiation.

"CIMM2 innovation"

What do you like best?

Unilog is flexible and willing to adapt and grow to meet customer eCommerce needs. They continue to improve their platform and think outside the box to reinvent their value. It's good to have a helpful extended team of Unilog partners that enable us to provide more value to our stakeholders with the help of their technology and services

What do you dislike?

The new customers have it easier because they reap the benefit of all that has been built into the product over time by early adopters like us. Upgrading is becoming more seamless with newer platforms. Some features we have helped develop were paid enhancements for us. However, this is not uncommon with software

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Must have buy-in and involvement of all stakeholders including sales. Get them involved and augment customer service. It is like a bionic extension of their skills, not a robotic replacement

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Providing information 24/7 to our customers is essential. Other tools and services along with iot capabilities, punchout integrations are very valuable to our customer relationships. Seeing how are customers relate with us and gathering intelligence to help best serve their needs is very beneficial. We continue to see opportunities for building customer trust and serving them better

"Pleasant Experience With a Few Qualms"

What do you like best?

What I like best about CIMM2 is the ability to upload bulk items quickly. I also like the workbook feature which allows you to change categories for various items, or even delete a bulk of items at once. I also enjoy how quickly the changes appear on our actual website. All you have to do is a quick Solr Search Refresh.

What do you dislike?

The little quirks that come with CIMM2 such as site frequent site malfunctions. I feel that CIMM2 can be a bit sensitive when it comes to certain things. For example when you want to click the back button it completely times you out. Another example is if you upload a photo for an item the image title cannot have any unknown characters (- or _) or the thumbnail image will not show up on our website. In my opinion I just think those are two aspects CIMM2 should be able to handle.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would recommend, seems to be working well for our company. Gets the job done.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adding and deleting items to our website. I can add or delete multiple items at once which is efficient. I can also edit item descriptions on the fly or by bulk. The search feature is very simple and allows me to find an item instantly so I can go in and edit. Makes the product enhancement process very convenient.

"CIMM2 Pros and Cons"

What do you like best?

I like the way that our site looks and how clear and clean it is. I think that we will eventually get everything done that we want to get done and be extremely happy with the finished product.

What do you dislike?

I think that some issues we have while working in CIMM2 are not quickly resolved or even quickly looked at. We have cases that have been open for over a month. It is very time consuming and puts our work behind when these issues are not resolved.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I think that the product and what you can get out of the software is great. However, the work it takes to get issues fixed within CIMM2 is extremely frustrating and often extremely time consuming. We have cases that have been open for over a month that have not been resolved.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are creating a B2B eCommerce site for our customers to use. We have never had this functionality before and really like that our customers are going to be able to have a new avenue to place orders.

"CIMM2 provides an integrated PIM and CMS to competently develop an Ecommerce site."

What do you like best?

The integration of multiple disciplines such as PIM and CMS.

The ability to have multiple people contributing on an ongoing basis.

The ability to get information in and out of the platform

I very much like how Unilog has invested in making the interface much more usable in CIMMTouch.

We are able to add content ourselves

What do you dislike?

The old CIMM2 software interface at times was non intuitive, hard to find where certain functions should be located.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We recommend a full test of all features of the product before choosing.

We also recommend fully documenting requirements

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Not only providing a website for Ecommerce with our customers but also providing our inside staff a central place to find about new products and get a wide variety of product information that is not readily available from our ERP.

"Overall a good product."

What do you like best?

I would say that overall, CIMM2 is user friendly with easy to use content editing tools.

The case management system allows for multiple users to create and edit cases.

It's nice to be able to share issues and concerns with other distributors.

What do you dislike?

It's difficult to have and customizations. Many features are considered "special requests" when they seem an obvious feature and are common on similar eCommerce sites. Such as voice to text searching capabilities or customer account summary dashboards.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Test everything before going live... and then test again.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using the eCommerce platform to reach potential customers and grow with existing customers without adding headcount.

"Just Beginning and have been impressed"

What do you like best?

We signed on a few months ago and at this time, the communication is excellent. The staff at Unilog has been conducting a very thorough discovery of our needs for our business.

The impressive part is the focus on the details that are capable of being part of the early discussions for implementation because the CIMM2 platform is well thought out and many of the paths that would be addressed much later are already carefully in place so we can focus on the unique needs of our business.

We have not launched yet, but today, I am very impressed and pleased to hear of the many ways they plan to continue to enhance CIMM2 over time. Great software and responsive service.

What do you dislike?

Nothing yet. We are a very new customer and the honeymoon hasn't ended yet,

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Having invested in our B2B solution with three previous partners, we have been forced to settle and abandon all previous investments for a substantial loss. These firms claimed to understand B2B and when we asked for functions that would serve critical needs for any industrial products company, these partners would charge substantially to customize the software and it was never stable and reliable. Five years later, we decided to choke on the investment and start again with CIMM2. I can assure you we did our homework and we were shocked to see that this software already included nearly all of the "Custom" functions we paid so much to other firms to produce with failed results. We can offer our customers more than just an ecommerce website... we can provide an interactive experience that will strengthen relations, provide the customer with useful tools to customize their experience, build brand loyalty and provide informative and useful content in such an advanced way, we will be years ahead of our competitors in the most important growth area of our industry.

"CIMM2"

What do you like best?

Lately, very little to like. The service and quality has been on a downward slide for a couple of years.

What do you dislike?

There are many aspects of CIMM2 that the customer can't change on their own. You have to get Unilog to do the updates which usually delays you by a day. They have horrible customer service and no sense of urgency at all. It takes weeks to get simple things done through them.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Think long and hard before signing anything with them.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had a web ordering system prior but it was lacking in function and enriched data. CIMM2 allowed us to put forth a functional website with images, descriptions, and attachments on all of our products.

"Overall it is a good program for managing catalog content online."

What do you like best?

In the newer version one of my favorite aspects is the ability to manage catalogs at a manufacturer level.

What do you dislike?

There are still some bugs in the system, the biggest drawback is not being able to exclude updates to individual items.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The new version looks pretty good from the perspective of having to learn a new environment. There appears to be improved functionality, without a lot of change to the format.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Cimm to manage our online content offering through a web store. It is beneficial because items can be created, categorized, or removed through simple processes.

"Key partner in bringing our web presence to life"

What do you like best?

Cimm2 as a product integrated well into our ERP platform (Eclipse). It was this tight integration that allowed us to bring our e-commerce site from conception to delivery in under a year. Their product cataloging experts were also invaluable in getting our content online. They have become a valued partner.

What do you dislike?

Make sure of your deliverables when you are defining the scope of your project. They have been fairly flexible but there has been some give an take. However this has been getting better as many of the grey areas have been rolled into the product now.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

They are not the cheapest ERP solution provider but they offer a very complete solution and over the lifetime of the product what they offer is a value that cheaper solutions can not provide.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This was a very well integrated and complete solution for bringing our e-commerce site to life. Without this product it likely would have never happened and because of it we have a competitive edge.

"Learning CIMM2 "

What do you like best?

I like having control of most functions of our site and being able to make changes ourselves. Also it is helpful having a team that is able to answer questions and fix problems by messaging back and forth.

What do you dislike?

CIMM2 isn't as user friendly as I would like. Simple functions turn into being custom made. Functions that are offered in the system do not work as easily as they should such as creating a form. It seems like some functions have not been thought through.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a useful program but you must be patient when learning how to use CIMM2.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We will reach more customers and plan to increase profit from this endeavor.

"User friendly CIMM2"

What do you like best?

The features I like the best about CIMM2 is the easy navigation and easy way to update parts. Single parts can be updated in a matter of seconds and the system allows me to update bulk parts rather quickly. CIMM provides multiple templates to load data and manage the data in the system.

What do you dislike?

One feature i do not like is the fact that i can not export data from CIMM in the upload format. That would make bulk changes much easier.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

MDM management. This is allowing us to realize what parts are already in our system and not create duplicates for new customers.

"CIMM2 - The Ideal all-in-one e-Commerce Solution for an Electrical Supply Distributor"

What do you like best?

CIMM2 is very user-friendly and logically laid out. It provides easy to use export tools for your e-Commerce data. It also provides easy to use content tools & functionalities that allow us to present great content to our customers online. I would recommend using CIMM2 to a number of other distributors like us.

What do you dislike?

Training tools & documents, but Unilog is getting there. We have access to a lot more training videos & documents today than we did in the beginning. I hope to see a lot more videos for training & "how to" documentation. That is always helpful to maintain consistency in use of CIMM2 among my team.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Take your time with implementation processes so you can get everything locked down in the beginning. Converse with Unilog Community and other users to ask questions, get suggestions and see "how did they do things?".

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It gives us the ability to easily manage the tools & content that allow us to cast the wider net and be better noticed than our competitors. We are attracting millennials in an industry that has struggled doing so in the past. Our customers our more engaged and we are solving issues with their own processes by providing solutions through our new e-Commerce platform. After hours work is better managed when the customer has some control and online access to the content. Sharing product content documents, for example, specification sheets, has never been easier with the quickest turn around by the click of a button. By using our new e-Commerce platform, customers are freeing up some of our inside sales reps' time to spend on bigger projects and deals that need their full attention.

"CIMM2 Review"

What do you like best?

Search Session and Introduction to CX1. I appreciate the leadership team taking time to engage with us and work on addressing some of the issues we have been experiencing.

What do you dislike?

Occasionally having to wait for other users to catch up in sessions

Recommendations to others considering the product:

PIM may appear to be overwhelming, but everyone has to start somewhere..it might as well be now.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Recommendations to others considering the product:

"The perfect P21-integrated PIM product"

What do you like best?

CIMM2 allows me to see all of my items and manage the publishing to the multiple sites, public and private, that we have built to support our business.

What do you dislike?

The views used for product categorization could be cleaner. However, I believe this is being addressed with the new version of the product.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Spend the time to develop the category tree that best represents your product set and allows for future expansion should the need arise.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using our web presence in an effort to stand out from our competition and to provide a tightly-integrated customer experience for select companies.
