Uncountable has revolutionized the way we do R&D on a fundamental level. First, its Electronic Lab Notebook capabilities make finding any data created by anyone one the team fast with its fully searchable and intuitive interface. It really makes collaboration a breeze. Next, we have worked with the team there to integrate all of our testing such that we can design formulas, submit testing, and directly upload results back into the platform. Everything is centrally located and convenient.

Next, Uncountable has robust formulation prediction capabilities. Using this, we have been able to train and use models to shorten our development time and more efficiently explore compex formulation spcaes. I have worked in product development and manufacturing for many years. Time and time again the foundations of our businesses research kowledge and developments are deteriorated from employee turnover. It simply is not possible to retain all the R&D knowledge when an employee retires or moves on. Uncountable offers a solution to data retention and utilization across generations of employees. The Uncountable web platform is very efficient and from a software and functionality standpoint is perfectly designed. The machine learning feature of the uncountable platform is only as effective as the data you put in. So as time goes on, the machine learning feature will become more valuable. I think that to fully utilize this feature users need to be very proactive in inputing old data sets and/or generating new data sets. It's not a bad thing, but I have to do the work of inputing additional data sets. Once you have a project set up, inputting data is easy, but it is still a task. I've been very impressed with the Uncountable platform for formulation development. My favorite part of the platform is that formulations, data, notes, etc. are all in one place. Having everything related to a formulation project on a single platform makes it very easy to filter results and compare formulations. I'm also a big fan of the data visualization and analysis tools, which are great for better understanding the formulation space. Finally, the DOE tools and formulation suggestions have been beneficial for product development. The best part is that it is all saved and easily accessible on the Uncountable platform - not spread out across multiple folders and spreadsheets. I have encountered some issues when using the DOE and suggestion features, but they have been quickly resolved by the Uncountable team. There is sometimes a few bugs to work out when trying something new.
